BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. It’s one of our favorite subscription boxes – our dog loves it, and we’ve gifted it to dogs in our extended family as well!

BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (our dog weighs 14 pounds). Check out Ragan's review of last month's box for large dogs!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon March 2016 - packaging

I loved the packaging this month, too!

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon March 2016 - soft toys

Scottie Dog - Value $13

This first toy this month is a plaid Scottie dog. It's basic, and it's the perfect size for Buckles. It's definitely one of his new go-to toys (although he stops caring after a day).

The Old Timer Pocketwatch - Value $10

This is one that I haven't given to him as of yet. While he does not like rope toys at all, I'm curious to see if he'll like this mix of a soft toy and rope - it could be good for tug-of-war!

BarkBox Subscription Box Review & Coupon March 2016 - treats and chew

Gullet Jerky - Value $2

This chew is 100% cow beef. While our dog doesn't really handle chew like pig ears well (he has trouble keeping them down), I think he could handle this one - so I'll give it to him tonight!

Soft Baked Mini Cookies - Whodunit? - Value $8

Barkbox has been great lately with treats, and two bags this month are hits! He is loving these peanut butter soft baked cookies. I had made the mistake of putting these soft treats from the November BarkBox in my night stand. He now expects a treat each time we get into bed! These look like good replacements, as those are almost all gone.

Beef, Bacon & Eggs Treats - Value $8

I've saved his favorite for last this month. He seriously can't get enough of these tiny training treats - it's all he wants right now! I love getting this tiny training treats because they really are the ideal size for him.

Verdict: This month's box comes to a value of $41 - which is great for the price! Even better, the dog absolutely loves getting these boxes each month, and the recent run of treats has him begging for them. We've recently subscribed a bunch of dogs we know with BarkBoxes, and everyone is singing their praises - the dogs all love them, which is really what this box is all about!

Annabelle loved her March Barkbox. She received 2 kinds of treats, a chew pretzel, a phone booth toy and a treat maze, which she loves. She gets the medium box. I love the themed boxes. Cleverly done.

Bark Box is AMAZING!!!!! Their customer service is top notch….their emails are fun and creative. The snacks are healthy for the dogs and the toys are Hugh quality toys. I have no pets….but I give bark box as gifts. It is especially fun to give to friends that their children are their dogs. Bark Box makes it easy for mevto pay it forward. I truly have been singing praises to everyone about this company. The recipients have told me the dogs know when the box arives and are relentless until it is opened. I have to be one of ther biggest fans!!!! My experience with Bark Box has been nothing but “Top shelf”. It is very easy for me to praise the customer service and quality of the items they put in the boxes. Bark Box is high mark for other similar companies to shoot for. Pam??

I ordered Barkbox for the first time this month, and I got completely different items. Is that the norm when you sign up? I ordered the size small box.

Usually the first box they send is a starter box, then you should get the regular themed boxes moving forward.

We get the box for medium-sized dogs. Oberon, our 30-lb Sheltie, loves it! We usually get 2 bags of treats, a chewie of some sort, and 1 or 2 toys.
