Subscribers receive this info card with every bag.  It’s not fancy but it is informative!  It says they hope everyone had happy holidays and they are unveiling a new website layout soon. This month’s bag features a duo from the unreleased “Just Lips” collection.  Oooo!  I love RH lip products, so let’s dig in and see what we have!

RBHJAN - 7

Whipped Cream Soap - Assorted Samples - 1.5oz (3ea) - Value: $4.50

Last month, I received a really great smelling bar of soap, so I was really excited to try out another type of soap.  I’ve opened the Juicy Orange Pop sample and it is really creamy.  It smelled ok, just not nearly as fragrant as their soap bars. It’s also not as moisturizing which isn’t my favorite for soaps.  My skin craves moisture 24/7 so stripping off all the oils left my skin feeling uncomfortable.  I may add the remaining two into my gifting or donation boxes.

RBHJAN - 8

Cucumber Melon Nourishing Lip Balm - .15oz - Value: $5.00

Love love love this lip balm.  This is also a first for me from RH.  I love the subtly sweet scent and the applicator itself which is oval shaped.  Again, I love their lip products, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the Just Lips collection is all about.

Cucumber Melon Sugar Lip Scrub - .6oz - Value: $8.00

I haven’t used this one yet.  I’m almost done with the lip scrub I received a few months ago.  It’s in a different container and the consistency looks completely different.  I hope that it performs the same.

Caramel Forest Body Mist - .5oz - Value: $2.00

You already know how I feel about perfume samples!  This one’s really nice.  It’s sweet and ultra girly.  It kind of reminds me of the scent from burning candle and it’s very relaxing.

Nail Polishes

Forestal Matte Lacquer -15ml  - Value: $10.00

This is my second matte polish from RH and I believe the fourth in my overall collection.  I don’t gravitate to mattes and almost always cover them with a non matte top coat.  On a good note, I’m happy to add a new green to my polish rack.

Planet M Lacquer - 15ml - Value: $10.00

Abigail’s favorite polish this month.  She loves her pinks!  This one has great pigmentation but looks incredible with just two coats.  It is really nice.

Caramel Forest Glitter Topper - 15ml - Value: $10.00

This is my favorite polish this month.  It’s so unique from anything I have right now.  The glitters are too bulky for Abigail’s fingers and I had planned for us to have matching toes, but she didn’t want to wear it.  Oh well, more for me! I think it’s a fun way to add some sparkle to any mani/pedi.

Verdict:  This month, Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag had an estimated retail value of $49.50. It’s a great bargain considering it’s over double the cost of the subscription itself.  I’ve been subscribe to RH for a few months now and I’m really enjoying it.  I’ve actually been able to share many items with my kids too.  Considering William, Abigail and I all have allergies, we appreciate the short and simple list of ingredients carried by the majority of their products.  I like the traditional mystery bag, but there are a number of other specific mystery bags if you only want Minis, Nails, Body, Soaps and from the insert it sounds like just Lips will be an option soon.

Who else subscribes to Rainbow Honey?  What’s your favorite product from the RH Lab?

I’ve been getting Rainbow Honey Mini Mystery Bags for a few months now. My daughter & I are very happy with them. Their scents are outstanding. The lemon sorbet is my fave. The lime, and cucumber melon are runner ups. Their polishes are nice & of good quality. Most are shimmer & glitter with not too many solid colors (which is actually a con for me).

I’m SO GLAD to see MSA reviewing Rainbow Honey monthly mystery bags! I usually have to go to another blog to see what’s been included in the bag.

I think you are reviewing the more expensive version of the monthly bag, so maybe you should point that out in the review?

I am happy there is someone else out there who likes perfume samples. I do, too (just not most of the ones Birchbox sends me…).

I haven’t tried anything from Rainbow Honey before but they have some really pretty glitters. Maybe in the near future…
