  1. I just received the acne kit. I thought this was a very good deal considering the toner, cleanser, and moisturizer were all full size. In addition, it included two samples which I will probably use for travel. With it, I added the oily skin kit from the bonus shop for 4 additional samples, so again, this was a great deal (3 full size products, 6 samples for $59 before points)! I’ve only been using 3 full size products for 2 days, but I’ve already noticed that my face has been much less oily and so soft. Birchbox released this at such a great time for me because I had been shopping around for acne solution kits. Many I’ve tried in the past are harsh and drying, but I can tell that these products are not. Plus, they have a lot more natural ingredients instead of the usual benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid combo. This was a definite win for me!

  2. Some of the items look full size so for the price it is definitely worth for me especially if you combine use of coupon/code and points 🙂 I wish I could pick and choose instead of wanting them all 😛

  3. Really? No one is complaining about the price’s of these sets? I am shocked. Most of these items feel like the same old samples that they have sent out over the least year. I don’t see the justification in price. Am I missing something.?
P.S. I love thermal canned water- it saves from dry skin, from dreaded work air. Otherwise, if this were $30 bucks I could justify it.

    • I definitely balked at the $59 price especially if the retail value is only $67! But then it also says “up to $148 value” so $67 must be the cheapest and $148 the most?

I only added up the one I’m interested in – dryness. It has 4 full-size products that retail at $77.50 + not sure about the Ren sample. So value-wise, that one isn’t bad if you want all those products anyway…

Wonder which one has the $148 value?

  4. I was soooo surprised to see people cursing over canned thermal water! I am from Europe and people actually use that a lot there, I even bought myself several bottles back in the past. They are a great refresher on the beach, by the pool or just when it’s hot; they set makeup; just moisturize face and also can be used as a toner.
This particular Avene one though wasn’t a happy purchase as the sprayer leaked. I hope it was just one defective bottle!

    • I don’t think the problem is with the product itself but the fact that it’s been included in many BB LE and monthly boxes in the past 4-5 months (as well as in other subs). While I like them just fine I can only use so many at one time. I’d rather have something other than a water only face spray if given the choice because it’s hardly a high value item comparatively speaking and takes up a slot, so to speak, that another legit full size item could fill. Hence why it’s always included (like the ubiquitous lip gloss/balm thrown into various boxes so subs can say they sent a full size product). Products tend to have their moment(s) in sub boxes (Purlesse anyone?) and facial mists have definitely had a good, long run in sub boxes. Since I have 2 full size and 3 travel, all Avene, I’m pretty much all set for H2O. Maybe I should consider them as my fresh drinking water to include in an emergency kit, or in the event of a zombie apocalypse. You’d need to hack the cans open but it’s doable?

      • Oh I totally get you with some products “taking up slots” in beauty boxes! For me it’s perfume samples though – I get SO frustrated when I get a tiny perfume (especially when it’s not even a spray!) and I think that instead of that I could have got something like a mascara or eye shadow or eyeliner (even if I already have full drawer of them).. Maybe that’s because I used to work for 2 cosmetic companies and these samples were like candies in lobbies if you know what I mean, anyone could grab tons…

    • I also use these types of sprays after working out.

  5. So tempted by the dryness one – but I’m a “Must use a coupon” Birchboxer, and I think I’ve used them all. Lol. I like that they’re doing skincare boxes though! I hope they continue this theme.

    • Use a different email, Bekki! Lots of people have done that and it’s worked for them.

  6. The anti-aging box is speaking to me, but I’m on a no buy now since I’m full up on products. I may grab it later if it’s still around. The Shiseido eye concentrate in that was one of my favorites in another box a while back, and the other products there all look like ones I’d love to have.

  7. I was going to jump on the dryness one – I love that Liz Earle C&P, and was interested in the Beauty Elixir…. but then I realized those were the only 2 I wanted from it, and it would be cheaper to buy them separately. So no purchase for me. (it’s a miracle! haha)

  8. Woah. The images with the type of kit do not match the kits with the listed items below! Other than the Anti-aging one, they are all mixed up! It looks like the one they labeled “Dryness” in the picture is actually the “Acne” one, “Acne set” is actually the “Sensitivity” set and “Sensitivity” is actually “Dryness”. SO:
I hope this makes a bit of sense. Too bad, the brands I was interested in do not actually match with the skin care set I was interested in, plus it’s a bit steep in price for me!

    • I said steep in price, but it looks like you get 3 full sized products so THAT is actually awesome.

    • I noticed right away that the pictures / labels didn’t match and it’s driving me crazy!!

  9. That can o water is back. They are really pushing that.

    • Seriously, that is what is keeping me from buying that set. I have like 3 of those in various sizes from subs.

    • Hey I have a bottle from a subscription box & I won’t lie, it feels great & I’m always spraying it on my face & shoulders lol.

      • I pretty much never go outside for any length of time (no sun for me, thanks) and I don’t wear anything sleeveless. I can see how it would be of benefit to someone who gets hot or has dry skin or goes to the beach or something. But that’s not me…

    • I received a few of Avene water sprays. I wouldn’t pay full price, but I have been using it in the office as my office is very dry. I kind of like the mist on my face. I used to have Evian one and I think Evian one sprays finer mist than Avene.
