NADINE WEST FEB 2016 - info 2

One thing they changed last month is they made it easier to provide feedback: they made the feedback sections checkmark boxes instead of just a plain box meant for you to write in.

An interesting thing to note: on the top right of my info page, it says that they’ve given me a $5 credit towards this month’s delivery since I haven’t liked/kept anything in a while (even though I kept a top last month).

Oh So Cozy! Arm Warmer – Cost to Keep: $9.99

These are interesting. They’re labeled as “arm warmers” but I don’t know what part of my arm they’re supposed to warm. I would think an arm warmer would be like, a really long glove sort of, you know? Maybe these are supposed to go under sleeves of coats around your wrists? Honestly, these seem a lot more like they should be the kind of thing you wear at the top of your boots, but they’re too small.

Sparkles All Around Studs – Cost to Keep: $11.99

These are pretty! I really like the peach color – I think that’s a good shade for spring.

Unlock My Heart Pendant – Cost to Keep: $22.49

This necklace is alright. It’s not quite my personal style – it feels like something I would have worn in high school, maybe.

Verdict: This month’s Nadine West was not great. It’s actually the first time I haven’t received a top, although their FAQ page says that happens when they don’t have tops in my style and size available, and I know some of our readers have definitely commented that this has happened to them (sometimes more often than not). I’m appreciative for the $5 credit, but I’m bummed they gave it to me on my least favorite one yet. If you’re looking for a fashion/accessories subscription that is a lower price point than other services out there like it (Stitch Fix, Trendsend, Trunk Club), this may be a box for you to try.

I have found the items that Nadine West sends out to be of a lower quality than Stitch Fix or Wantable – but I hardly ever had anything from either of those services work out, and with NW I seem to keep one thing a month most of the time. Plus at $6.50 I am less disappointed if I don’t keep something, than paying $20 or more for other services.

Yes, arm warmers go under sleeves of jackets that don’t have tight closure at the wrist. It can be useful if you live in a colder climate and it gets windy a lot.

What I have seen of Nadine West is just not my style (I honestly have yet to see a clothing sub outside fabletics that is! But I am weird and thrive on sale shopping like a starving kitten with a bottle of milk). But these items look like they are actually overpriced and just a little, well, weird. Arm warmers?

My Nadine West has unfortunately been a big flop. I will try one more month because they switched my stylist and gave me a credit, but I don’t think I will continue after that. I am disappointed. It was a stylist service at a price point I could actually afford (the Stitch Fix clothes are just too expensive for me), but I’m not happy with the items I have received.
