This month, they’ve selected Peruvian Incahuasi from Goteborg, Sweden’s Per Nordby.

The beans are a micro lot from a two-hectare farm located near Cusco, Peru.

The grower specializes in old arabica coffee varieties like Caturra, Bourbon, and Typica, and this Incahuasi is a blend of all three.

As soon as I opened the box, I could smell these beans. And, wow, did they smell great! The roast is light to medium, and the leaflet told me to look out for flavors of mature fruit, milk chocolate, and green apple.

I have to give a quick shout out to Per Nordby. How cute is their logo?!

I’m also really impressed by their packaging. Each type of coffee has it’s own image on the front of the bag that references its origin.

I love good design!

I’ve been brewing this coffee every morning since it arrived. The quality of the beans is clearly high, and it’s roasted just the way I like. I’m not sure I like the flavor enough to order another bag, but I’ll happily enjoy this one.

Verdict: I love coffee and I enjoy discovering new roasters, so I had a lot of fun with KaffeBox. Scandinavia is famous for coffee and design, and I got a nice taste of both with this box! Considering that KaffeBox sends coffee from overseas, I think the $19 price is reasonable, and I can certainly see how this would be a fun subscription for coffee lovers and Scandophiles!
