Yep…I don’t need one thing from this collection, but I want almost everything in it. I can see an Ultimate Upgrade coming on.

Could anyone please describe what “holo jellie” means to a first time Julep subscriber? 😀

In nail polish terms, a “jelly” is a color that is sheer, but buildable when you use multiple layers until it is almost opaque). “Holo” is short for holographic.

thank you so much! I am rather new to the nail polish world! 🙂 Is there any advantage to using a jelly over traditional polish?

Maybe I am the only one, but I am really excited about the 4 metallic colors.

You are not the only one! 🙂

Super excited about the solid cleansing balm stick. I currently use the Tatcha cleansing oil which also has camellia and rice bran oils and it’s amazing – the best I’ve ever used. So I’m so excited to try this one out!

Kind of excited about the solid cleanser. That would be great for travel – one less liquid/gel to squeeze into a baggie! I’m wondering what the shelf life for it is. Has anyone had a cleansing oil go rancid?

I just received my very first box today! The “welcome box” and free Valentine’s day gift trio and I’m so excited to actually get to pick out what I want for the upcoming month! Somehow they sent me the “shawn” color in my box which was included in the free gift. I was kinda bummed to get a duplicate but when I called to ask them about it, the girl who helped me apologized and then said, “well what color would you like then so we can send it to you?” I was kind of dumbfounded for a second that that was even an option! I went with “Caitlin” because it was the only color I remember matching the name to since it’s my niece’s name lol So far I’m impressed with Julep and have a feeling I’ll carry on with the subscription. The fact that they even have a support contact where you can speak to humans is amazing to me.

Melanie, how many items did you get? I just signed up and it says the 3 item welcome box is what I will be getting, maybe I can see where I went wrong!

I got 2 polishes and a liquid eyeliner pen. In addition to that I received a free gift with a code which was a Valentine’s nail polish trio you can see in this review: https://www.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/2016/02/free-valentines-day-set.html
I received the “shawn” polish twice though (red one pictured in the middle) in my original box and in the trio so they’re correcting it. I think “welcome box” just means you get what they have since you don’t get the chance to pick. Also even though I did the survey before and picked their “Boho Glam” style, they sent me two that were labeled “Bombshell”. No biggy though, I liked the colors regardless.

Really excited about the teal eyeiner. I’ll have to see the nail colors closer to make a determination. The holo jellies do sound interesting.
Does anyone know how to sharpen their eyeliners? I’ve gotten two of the sharpeners and still have no idea how to do it.

You may need to buy one of their sharpeners.
I have one, but I did not realize that it was essential to sharpen their liners. This means I’ll need to get some more sharpeners to give to the people I have shared my Julep products with.
Thank you for the heads-up.

Not sure what you mean? Put the pencil in the sharpener and turn, like a regular pencil?

That is what I do — only I don’t have a Julep-branded sharpener, just a generic (beauty) one I got on Amazon.

Apparently I’m only meant to buy Julep products in the summer. Where, o where are my watermelon pink colors? This whole reveal is a giant boooo for me.

Apparently there are 2 more nail polish colors that haven’t been put on the site yet. They are described as “holo jellies,” so they have the potential to be really cool. I am not excited about the colors that they have revealed so far. I believe that there is also a new cleanser coming out with the March collection.

Holo jellies? that sounds really cool, was that in the maven reveal video? just started watching it since i was at work. Thanks! 🙂

Marion
Yes, it’s in the video at about 1:40 in.

Not interested in the cleanser. Was thinking this might be my first “skip” month unless I really like the colors that haven’t been released yet. Not that I don’t like what’s above, but I have so many similar things and nothing’s jumping out at me.
