  1. It’s a lovely bag, but I’m glad I did not get this box. I wanted to, but
the $200 price tag was too steep for me. If it had been $50 less I might have bitten. Now that I see the whole box I’m very happy I didn’t bite since I’m getting the Rachel Zoe box of style for less than half the price with a purse I think will work better for me.

  2. Personally I really like the bag. The color and general shape is appealing to me. Unfortunately, the size of the bag wouldn’t work for me. It wouldn’t be able to hold my phone, which is one of the few things that I have to be able to fit in a smaller purse. If it were bigger, then I wouldn’t mind going for it. But, alas, it wouldn’t end up being used much.

  3. I think it’s beautiful. If I can’t use it as a cross-body bag, I’m sure I can use it as a wallet. I’m always fascinated by the amount of complaining that goes on — things are either over-priced or too “low priced” (although it’s hard for me to wrap my head around a small bag at $300+ being low priced); they’re too this or too that; whatever. I personally think the surprise element is half the fun of these boxes.

  4. I love the bag, but I hate having a designer’s name printed in such big, visible letters. To me, it makes it look cheap.

  5. I LOVE the bag!! I hope I can swap my 1951 clutch for one. I wish I would’ve ordered this!

  6. That bag is GORGEOUS!! I adore that color! Alas, it is way too teeny for me. I am quite large and small accessories like this just emphasize my size. Besides, the strap is probably too short; the bad would fall at an awkward spot. I’d have to use it as a wallet.

I have zero interest in that necklace.

  7. The BB website describes this as a convertible clutch/crossbody and has several photographs with different views. I think I like it better as clutch and, given the small size, I might just use it as a lovely wallet!

  8. The necklace seems really overpriced compared to the other necklaces on her site… with that said I hope she included a coupon to her website.

    • Love the layering look they have – bit like Gorjana in that regard.

  9. If Brandon Blackwood was willing to let go of their wares at such a low price, then either (1) the company knows that their purses are not worth what they charge, or (2) they couldn’t sell this particular design. There’s usually a reason.

    • I respectfully disagree. I think the platform is a great one for brand awareness. People learn about the items and create a buzz. I personally learned about him from this box and LOVE the black pouch we got. His items are made with great materials and details to design. I’m pretty thrilled. But it might not be for everyone.

    • I also disagree….this design was made SPECIFICALLY for Luxor subscribers. Jeez….jealous?

    • Hi,

Brandon Here. The bag was designed exclusively for Luxor Box subscribers. My factory has minimums to uphold and I was ultimately left with a couple left over.

I offered those to my friends and family via social media because a lot of them can not afford things within the standard lines price points. Again this was on my personal Instagram completely separate from the business page.
I charged a low price (wayyy wayyy way below cost) because this was meant for friends and family. This was NOT a part of my business Instagram. I thought it would be a special way to have the people I am close to and care about deeply own something from the line (if you see my Instagram you’ll notice that it only consists of my favorite magazines I follow and friends). Trust and believe me I was not
Making any sort of cash return on those low prices.

I am a new designer and have so many supportive people in my corner. I just simply wanted my friends and family to have a piece.

There is no way possible anyone I did not personally know to have a piece.

This was never a public sale, available to people I did not know. I can guarantee that anyone who says they have received one from me or purchased one is not being truthful.

This is pretty saddening because what I did as a way to say thank you to the people I care about turned so quickly into something negative.

I am open to having emails sent to me with further questions but me and my staff will not tolerate rude, racist, or aggressive emails like the ones I have been receiving. (Let be kind to one another guys)

Anyway, I love working with Luxor, the subscription box world and hope to one day make some
More pieces for you all to enjoy!

      • Brandon, I’m sorry to see that you have received negative emails. Know that I personally love your work – and was happy to learn of you through Luxor. It’s sad to hear that that you have received negative messages. It’s quite shocking. I also have a few designer friends here in NYC – they don’t have the reach and wallets of major companies. And at the end of the day, you’re a person, just like the people who send negative messages (though no idea why someone would do that).

      • How sad it is that this designer can’t offer a special price to his personal friends/family/early supporters without experiencing the ugliness that’s been paraded here. If you don’t like the bag, that’s one thing. If you don’t agree with the listed RV, that’s another. But in any case, acting like a spoiled brat and demanding that Luxor somehow make it up to you is never called for. Next time either wait for the full spoilers to appear, and run the risk the box will sell out, or take your money to the store so you can buy exactly what you want.

        • bravo!

        • Couldn’t agree more! Well said!

        • Seriously. Shame on anyone who sent a nasty email to his company about this.

  10. This box is not my taste, and I knew that from the first spoiler. However, it really screams Valentine’s Day! Both items are really cute and fit the theme perfectly for a traditional take on Valentine’s. All it needs is some chocolate.

  11. I purchased this, but I am not impressed with this purse. I’m hoping I like it better in person, but I doubt it. Really wish it had been a black piece like everything else he makes.

  12. Love it! So excited. Can’t wait to see it. For those not as happy, I’m sure it will be something that others will desire (trade, sell on eBay etc). It’s brand new item in his collection.

  13. I hate to say that I am so super-bummed at the Brandon Blackwood spoiler. I loved the last BB piece and only purchased this box because he was featured. I never in a million years expected the piece to be bright red. I’m used to primarily seeing his black, more versatile, pieces. I don’t carry crossbodies and red is my absolute least-favorite color. I feel a bit sick to my stomach that I spent this much on the box, as I only justified it (partially to my husband!) because I thought I’d get an awesome BB piece that I’d get a ton of use out of. Sooooooo bummed and disappointed. =(

    • I will swap with you if you put it up there – assuming I have something you would like

  14. Also, since these two account for $635 out of the ~$700 retail value, there won’t be much else in the box…

  15. The color is lovely, but at 6×5 I have wallets that are larger. Not even sure that (given the shape) it would fit my iPhone….
