Just a word of warning if you are thinking of subscribing…I was charged both sales tax and shipping for this box. The price you see for the subscription is not the whole price. I have not experienced this with other subscription boxes.

Tax is pretty common (depending on the state) – Popsugar, as an example, has been charging it for a while. It’s been up to the subscription box whether or not they charge shipping (some do, most don’t). Maybe when these announcements are posted, it might help to note that $5.99 is added for shipping. I’m interested in seeing a few more of these, but overall, they are really in line w/ my interests.

I just signed up for my box. I really like the spoiler items. Yes I could go buy them myself, but this box looks amazing. I like everything I have seen in the previous 2 boxes. After the coupon it came down to $63 so that isn’t bad. The bottle itself is $30 and the bag about $17. I can’t wait for april.

I love what I saw in both Jan and Feb boxes.

I’d love to see another spoiler before committing to a higher priced box that is new. I don’t find this offensive in the least. I’m in a leadership position, over 35, and I embrace putting feminine surroundings in my office. I’m pretty sure breaking barriers in a male dominated work force won’t have much to do with me having a cute water bottle and office supplies. If anything, I’m not trying to conform to blending in with my male counterparts. 🙂

Ditto on wanting another spoiler. It is quite difficult in many industries to balance femininity (if you want to express it, that is) and authority, so I like the previous box’s directions so far. I’m not super girly, but I didnt dislike anything I’ve seen so far. But it’s still new so who knows really.

Anyone else find the “Lady Boss” and “Girl Boss” box names a little, uh, patronizing? Puts me off the boxes straight away.

I actually take Girl Boss as a compliment. I have plenty of experience (and my team knows it, as do those who interact with me outside the organization), but I look like I am near the interns’ ages. When did “girl” become a bad thing? I get more upset when someone calls me ma’am, lol!

Nah. They needed a way to show “large” and “small” and I think it works well. I like that they both contain “Boss” in the title.

If some dude called me a “girl boss” I might get offended. But for a feminine subscription box? It doesn’t bother me. I figure that as long as the contents are good, the name is a nonissue.

My first though, too. The whole “girl boss” thing is big right now, though.

I personally don’t have a problem with the name “lady boss”, but I do think the name “girl boss” does not sound very empowering. I do like the contents of the boxes I have seen thus far (I bit the bullet for March’s box so I am excited to see what it contains). I am also a manager in her 30’s and I love to personalize my office with feminine touches where I can, while still being a professional.

I really liked January’s box, but I think I need to see at least one more review before taking the $85 plunge.
