nerd-block-jr-boys-jan-figurines

Minecraft Mini-figure - Value $4.99

It's safe to say that this was my kids' favorite item in this month's box! They are complete Minecraft addicts!

Transformers Collectible Figurine - Value $3.99

The boys have been into Transformers for years now, and they're finally getting the idea behind blind bags. So fun! They have also made a "nerd shelf" in their room for all their random geek and gamer collectibles. I'm so proud!

nerd-block-jr-boys-jan-munny-book

Kidrobot Micro Munnyworld Foomi Figure - Value $13.33

This is a DIY art toy from Munnyworld / Kid Robot. My seven-year-old was very happy to get this, and was really excited that we got the purple one! He loves toys like this.

Mr. Clever by Roger Hargreaves - Value $3.99

I love when we get books in Nerd Block Jr.! This book got 5 stars on Amazon, too! This one is a little young for my sons, but it's still very cute, and it's still great reading practice for my seven-year-old. From Amazon:

"Mr. Clever thinks he is smartest guy around. But one day, he learns that he doesn't know everything."

nerd-block-jr-boys-jan-ironman-copter

Marvel Iron Man 3 Cold Snap Iron Man Figure - Value $5.99

The boys also adore Iron Man! Iron Man 3 was an instant classic at our house!

Hot Wheels Rescue Sky Knife - Value $1.09

Wow! I don't think they boys have any Hot Wheels aircraft!

nerd-block-jr-boys-jan-spoiler

Nerd Block Jr. Rarely sends any literature, but this month they included a card with a spoiler for next month! My boys love the Turtles - they're already excited for the February box!

Verdict: We love Nerd Block Jr.! This month, everything was a hit for us, and I'm really excited about that! I like that Nerd Block includes some hard-to-find items in their boxes, too. The value of everything combined in this box is about $31, and that's great for a $20 box. The items in Nerd Block Jr. also make excellent stocking stuffers and small bribe / reward items. It's awesome!

We did not get an Iron Man either. After this box arrived, I cancelled. It’s been on my radar for a couple months now, because I feel like a lot of the stuff is just not worth what we pay for it. Additionally, my son’s excitement about this box has greatly diminished. He is excited to get it, but when he opens it, he’s usually disappointed. The last several boxes he’s only pulled one thing out of and the rest I have to constantly remind him it’s all still in his box.

I did like the addition of the book this month though. We read it the other night for his reading time.

For now, we are trying a newer box that I found for him. It’s a tad more expensive, but I’m hoping the extra $5 will make him a little happier.
