My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review December 2015 - extras

My Pretend Place includes little extras like this every month - a note, a magnet, some stickers, and a handle to turn the box into a case for the finished products.

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review December 2015 - letter

This is a letter sent to the kids from a school maintenance worker, talking about her use of walkie-talkies on the jobs, plus other jobs that utilize walkie-talkies.  I really like that they always include letters like this!  It's good reading practice, plus it adds wonderful imagination to the creative process.

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review December 2015 - instructions

This is a picture of the instrcutions, to give you some idea of how complete and easy to follow they are.  This month we will be making walkie-talkies!

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review December 2015 - supplies

These were all the supplies that were included this month to finish our projects.  Everything we needed was included except scissors and a pen.

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review December 2015 - walkie-talkies

These are our compelted walkie-talkies!  I have to say, these turned out surprisingly awesome looking.  I wish all walkie-talkies had this glittery disco effect!

Verdict:  I am a fan of My Pretend Place Crafts.  It's really inexpensive and provides a lot of fun crafting time, plus the crafts are actually toys.  This subscription does a lot to support imaginative play!  I think this would be a great subscription for an adult who regularly keeps kids, like a grandmother or aunt or babysitter, due to its low cost and the amount of time the kids can spend enjoying it.

This would be cute for us in a couple years – have 2 year old and a soon to be newborn. 🙂 I like Koala Crate so far for my 2 year old but it would be nice to have a shared craft for both of them later.

Super cute project! Makes me wish my kids were small again so I could subscribe to it.

Thanks Linda! We’ve almost grown out of it. I was around babies and toddlers all weekend and I got sad about not having little ones, too!
