Home Chef New Year Deal – $30 Off First Box!

I’m glad others have had great experiences. It sounds like my deliveries are the exception and I was just unlucky. I have to say that their customer service is great…they responded to me yesterday very quickly (I read my emails after posting here), apologized graciously for an error in their production facility and took care of it right away. They had responded quickly after the first issue too, tbh. Awesome customer service like that is usually a sign that standards are high and problems aren’t the norm, so I’m sorry that I posted here out of frustration before giving them the chance to handle it, which they did immediately. I think I’ll have to try them again in the future because I made the steak dinner last night for my family and the ingredients were high quality, it was very simple to make and delicious. Everyone in my family loved it, especially the homemade steak sauce which my husband raved about.

I have used home chef several times now and have been impressed with their meals. The meats are packed into individual portions which is nice for a single person who only needs to make half the meal at a time. The recipes so far have been delicious. I have tried several of the other subs like this but this one is my favorite.

I have subscribing to Home Chef for about a month now. I have enjoyed all of my meals and the one time I had some yogurt leak, they credited me generously for my next week. All of the meals are really tasty and pretty easy. They tell you upfront if the meals are “expert,” “intermediate,” or “easy.” I have found the cooking times to be pretty accurate as compared with Blue Apron. There are a lot of choices and it’s really easy to skip weeks. I have also really enjoyed some of their smoothies and breakfasts which is a nice addition to a meal delivery service. I will probably continue this subscription into the future as I have no real complaints at all. The one time they delivered a day late, I was well aware it was going to happen because they e-mailed and there was terrible weather in the Midwest.

I’ve been using Home Chef for about 5 months, usually every other week. They have never messed up my order. I really like the meals. Variations on simpler recipes but the flavors a meld perfectly. They have a bigger selection of meals each week than other prep and cook companies. Large portions too. I’ve tried about 5 companies and keep coming back to them. Sorry you had a bad experience with Home Chef, Rochelle.

A word of warning… Do not make dinner plans around your delivery! I used a promotion to try this company a few weeks ago and they didn’t even deliver my order on my scheduled date. It didn’t come until the next night and I was already on a flight out of town. The really disappointing part is that they gave me no communication at all that it wasn’t coming on my scheduled delivery date. I had made a very large purchase for specific dinner plans and arrangements to pre-cook extra meals for my children before I left. They left me waiting, with no dinner to make and looking for it all night. Then they gave me a partial credit to use towards a next order which came today…and my order was missing all 4 pieces of salmon for my salmon dinner for 4! There was NO salmon in my cooler box for my 4 salmon dinners, only the other ingredients. My steak dinner for 4 had all the ingredients including steak, so at least I have something for dinner tonight but I’m totally frustrated with this company and their “convenience” delivery service. Sorry for the rant, I think I’m just too tired of companies that I have to email and complain to every time to get what I’ve purchased. (hint PSMH). ?
