Comicboxer Kids Subscription Box Review + Coupon December 2015 - hellboy and the simpsons

Itty Bitty Hellboy The Search for the Were-Jaguar #1 – Value $2.99

Is it bad that I want to read most of the kids’ comics? This one looks awesome, everyone’s favorite Hellboy in itty bitty form!

Grampa Simpson’s Unbelievable Adventures #1 – Value $3.99

A Simpsons comic revolving around Grampa telling stories – yes, please. This one looks like a lot of fun, the artwork is classic Simpsons too! From Amazon:

A One-Shot Wonder unlike any that has gone before! Join Grampa Simpson as he takes you on an unbelievable tale of swashbuckling derring-do that spans the entire cosmos! It’s the wildest ride Bongo Comics has ever offered. And best of all, YOU take the story wherever you want to go! The possibilities are endless and the options inexhaustible. You can’t go wrong when you choose Grampa Simpson’s Unbelievable Adventures!

It’s also a ‘choose your own adventure’ style comic. So, you come to crossroads in the book and turn to a specific page for specific decisions. Looks like a lot of fun for kids!

Comicboxer Kids Subscription Box Review + Coupon December 2015 - scooby-doo and spider-man

Scooby-Doo Team-up #9 – Value $2.99

Scooby-Doo team’s up with Superman to solve some mysteries. I would definitely have loved this one when I was younger!

Ultimate Spider-Man Web Warriors Spider-Verse #1 – Value $3.99

When I was young, I absolutely loved two specific animated superhero shows. X-Me: The Animated Series and the 90’s Spiderman run on Fox. This is really bringing me back to that time! This comic ties in with the characters you know from the Ultimate Spider-man animated series.

Comicboxer Kids Subscription Box Review + Coupon December 2015 - peanuts

Peanuts: Snoopy Special #1 – Value $4.99

The last issue they sent was Peanuts! I don’t think you can go wrong with a Peanuts anything in a kids box.

Verdict: I know this box was for kids, but even I am loving some of the titles this month – and that’s a really good thing! They’ll have a lot of options going forward too, as a lot of the animated series you love these days, like Adventure Time and Regular Show, are also long running comics! I think they’ll have a hit here for any parents that are looking to get their kids reading more!

  1. Yeah, thats not a bad selection for kids or adults. Though the price is a bit high for what you’re getting.

  2. What a fun box! My daughters (4&9) spend ALL of their allowance at the comic book store. This could be a fun surprise box for them to share once and awhile. I am a little surprised to see the Simpson’s in a kids box though.
