Bulu Box is a monthly fitness and weight loss subscription box. Their original Bulu Box is focused more on fitness and supplements, and they also have a WeightLoss box that features healthy products and diet supplements. This review is of the original Bulu Box.
Bulu Box sent me this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
Bulu Box has a great rewards program. You get a dollar in Bulu Bucks for every sample you review, and since the box is only $5 with coupon, it's a great deal if you would buy full-size items on their site.
The Subscription Box: Bulu Box
The Cost: $10 (Less than $5 a box with the annual subscription and coupon code!)
The Products: Each box contains 4 to 5 premium weight loss items such as vitamin and supplement samples, fitness gear and healthy eating tools.

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.
Shapeology BurnBlend (4 Capsules) - Value $3
Shapeology Garcinia Cambogia (2 Capsules) - Value $1
These are both weight-loss supplements. They weren't listed on the info card, so I'm assuming they are bonus samples!
Erba Vita Acid - Value $1.50
These tablets are designed to help with" stomach discomfort and reflux."
Fru-Licious Fruit & Vegi Bites - (2 packs) - Value $1
These were really good! They are made with natural ingredients, and I like the Mango Carrot Orange tropical flavor. (One thing to call out though - these expire 1/14/16. I think Bulu Box sometimes sends out products that are close to the expiration date, so make sure to check those when the box arrives).
Westrock Coffee K-Cup - Value $.75
SmaskPack in Orange Peach - Value $3
Good news and bad news on the expiration dates. The coffee is good through October 2016, but the SmashPack expires on January 8th 2016. (To be fair - I'm behind on getting this review out. This box arrived in mid-December).
Extra K-Cups are always a good thing at our house, so this morning blend will go to use. The SmashPack is 100% natural and made with 15 grams of protein (and the package is BPA free!)
Erzo Vitamin Biscuit - Value $2
Yay! A much better expiration date: May 2016! I saw these biscuits were made with wheat, so I planned on passing these along to my husband Eric - then I saw that these are pre-natal vitamin biscuits! I think this is a brilliant idea for anyone who has trouble taking pre-natal vitamins, so I will pass this along to an expecting friend.
Scimera E2 Essential Energy - 2 caps Value $3
These capsules provide 135 mg of caffeine. I'm a little wary of any energy drink/supplement (maybe from drinking a few too many Red Bulls in my college days), so I'll be sticking to tea.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $15. That's on the high-end for Bulu Box values. The value isn’t always this high with this subscription, but I’ve found the value is always good if you use the 50% off coupon and get this box for $5 or less, and you take advantage of their points system.
(With the 50% off coupon you can get your monthly box for $5 (or less with an annual subscription), and then you get $1 to spend in the Bulu shop for every product you review. So this box would cost you $5 and you’d get $7 back in the shop).
I would recommend this subscription if you would buy things from Bulu Box’s shop – with the Bulu Box points it basically makes the subscription a free bonus and a way to try out a few new products each month. And I would recommend to always check expiration dates on your samples. I've never received anything past the expiration date, but some products cut it close!
