Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review November 2015 - madlibs

Peanuts Madlibs - Value $3.26

This came in the NBJ Boys' box this month also, so hopefully one of my sons can find a friend to give these to. Madlibs are a big hit with kids this age (7 and 9)!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review November 2015 - earbuds

Monkey Earbuds by Vibe - Value $35

The boys got frog earbuds from Vibe in their box, and those had a value of $10, so I'm not sure why these are worth $35. Maybe they are rare? In any case, we can never have too many earbuds at my house.

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review November 2015 - tattoos

Monster High Temporary Tattoos - Value $3.74

I know a little girl who is SERIOUSLY into Moster High, and she will be thrilled to get these!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review November 2015 - calendar

Shopkins Mini Wall Calendar - Value $11.36

I don't have daughters, so I don't really know anything about Shopkins, but this calendar is cute and I think my niece will be happy to have it.

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review November 2015 - shopkins

Shopkins Puzzle Erasers - Value $3.50

Cute!

Shopkins Blind Bag - Value $7.95?

I could find blind bags for seasons 2 and 3, and both were priced at 7.95, but I couldn't find season 1. I don't know how that might affect value, if at all.

The Verdict: This month is really hard for me to comment on! I don't have daughters, but I'm usually somewhat familiar with the items. I don't know anything about Shopkins! Plus the theme this month for the boys' box was Star Wars, and really, how can you compare Shopkins with Star Wars? I'm a little lost on this one... In any case, the value seems to be great this month at about $79, which may be inflated by $25 due to the strange earbuds value Amazon is giving me, but either is great for a $20 box.

That’s a Shopkins Micro Lite. Not a Blind Bag Season 1. They don’t have seasons. When you squeeze it, it lights up. Like a flash light.

My seven year old daughter REALLY wants Shopkins! It is the only item she hasn’t removed from her Christmas list after many edits. All her friends have them.

Her best friend, also 7, loves Monster High.

So I say great job, Nerd Block, Jr! They either have a 7 year old girl on their curation team or are in tune with what girls are into now.

My nieces LOVE Shopkins. I’m sure my own girls would’ve liked them too but they came about a few years too late for them to enjoy. Because no 11 year old girl wants people thinking she still plays with toys, lol.

I’m working with young girls at a theater and they are OBSESSED with these Shopkins! I think they’re kinda like Littlest Pet Shop in that you collect the pieces and then you can trade them or play with them in the grand play sets they’ve created. The company is probably playing off of Japanese erasers that are food shaped and jazz.

…is it just me, or do a lot of packages lately look like they’ve been kicked to the door?
