I took a hiatus in Julep for a few months (never a maven but I devotedly purchases the muster box every month for about ten months in a row) and have come back in full swing with Cyber Monday purchases and now this. Here’s tobhoping

I am sooooooo addicted to Julep mystery boxes (even though I have a bag full of Julep polish O.o ) but I won’t be getting this one. I’ll be leaving on the 19th to head out of state and will be gone for close to 2 weeks for Christmas. It would get delivered while I was gone and wouldn’t still be here when I got back ??

ALMOST didn’t read this b/c I am sick of mystery boxes full of polish I don’t want or already own (though they’re a great deal if you’re new and don’t have bucketfuls of polish)– but once I read it I was hooked… I love both of the exclusive colors!

It’s does look good… I’m trying to resist. I make myself use each new polish at least once before it goes into my stash lol. And right now I have 10 nail polishes that I haven’t used yet (8 are Julep, 2 from other sub boxes). Some were add-ons from this month’s box and some were from the Black Friday and cyber Monday sales. Anyways, I really do not need more polishes so I have resisted for today at least. But I might cave tomorrow. The really tempting part is that it says $150 value when it’s usually $100 value

Yep! Ordered the mystery box plus the lipstick plus the 3 mini lipsticks. Do I need any of it? Nope, not at all. But I view it as my duty to keep my pusher in business . . .

If I didn’t subscribe I would still get the mystery box! This is actually the only subscription I haven’t cancelled. I enjoyed GLOSSYBOX and Boxycharm but after a few months my makeup arsenal was ridiculous. I still enjoy getting things in the mail so I’m looking into fabfitfun and the Rachel Zoe Box of Style.

Those are my two favorite subs, FFF and Rachel Zoe. The only thing I don’t like is that they are both quarterly and this time I received them both on the same day. It’s just crazy box then you don’t see them again for three months.

So for some reason my order went through twice, even though I only hit submit order once???? Has anyone else had this problem. I literally called them within 1 minute of getting the email confirmations and they told me they are not able to void an order. WHAT? I JUST ordered. She told me I could “return to sender” the second box and she would refund me right now instead of waiting for the return. But she has NOT refunded me yet, and its been 2 hours. WTH? Are they shady?

I have never had a “shady” experience with Julep. Accidental double orders can happen like that with glitches or an extra click or a back button (things aren’t as flawless as we think). Also, when you get issued a refund it is unlikely to be immediate. She can send the refund on her end, but it still has to run through the card companies and there is likely to be a holdup. I have been using Julep from the very beginning and never had a major issue and have also have experience with credit/debit systems. I wouldn’t worry. Just monitor it to be sure, but its normal for there to be a delay.

Do I need more polish? No. Not even close. Did I buy this? Absolutely. My mom needs that take a breather polish in pink and the code December wasn’t working (on that polish) so I found the 50% off code from my first box and it worked on that and the new whipped lipstick which is AMAZING and I got it in a different color. The code didn’t work on the mystery box, I didn’t expect it to, but it was nice to get $15 off the $30 of add ons!

I added on the Major Mystery gift. What is that? I googled it and couldn’t find anything. Is it another mystery box, or is it 1 item with a high value?

Melissa

It is probably either one item with a value of $32 or a combination of a couple items that add up to $32. Possibly a polish ($14) and a product that costs $18, like the Freedom Polymer Top Coat or something . Julep always offers mystery add-ons like that.

Ragan

I don’t know, but I added it on too. I wanted the free expedited shipping with a $40 order.

Jen

Odd. The coupon code only reduces the price by $11.20 instead of the full $14 price of the polish. Wonder why? I’ve not tried Julep beauty products so I’m interested to see what I’ll get.

I think that’s because the nail polish also would be discounted if you are a Maven.

Ragan

Yeah, it did that for me at first, too. But then I logged in and the Maven discount took the polish price down to $0.

Ragan

I totally shouldn’t have, but I did. I am sure I have another blue like that (maybe an Essie?) but it is a great color, plus I do not have any silver glitters that are quite the same. I added some stuff to get the free expedited shipping (free on orders $40+).

I have tons of nail polish but I did it again – I want that cobalt blue and if you go to website they showed a sample I’m going to try to paint my fingernails just like that. I have never tried painting a chevron on nails. I’m even afraid of french nail polish but I’m going to try it!!!
