Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service for women sizes 10-32. I have been intrigued with their concept for a while because I think plus-sized clothing is sorely underserved in the subscription box market. I have been really happy to have an opportunity to try them out!

Gwynnie Bee kindly invited me to try their service for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

LONDON TIMES - SHIFT DRESS IN GOLDEN FLORAL PRINT

I wore this dress on Thanksgiving. It was cute, seasonal, and surprisingly flattering!

Gwynnie Bee Review + Free Month Coupon December 2015 - butterfly

ISABEL + ALICE - BUTTERFLY PRINTED SHIFT DRESS

I love butterflies, but this dress kind of fit me like a sack. It sure was comfortable, though!

ISABEL + ALICE - MARQUISE PRINTED FAUX WRAP TOP

I really need to stop with the wrap tops; they just don't work on me! This top, like all wrap tops, looks fine, but I spend all day being self-consious about whether I'm revealing too much. I love the colors in this one, though.

JETE - FLORAL COLORBLOCK FAUX WRAP DRESS

On the other hand, I thought wrap dresses were supposed to be universally flattering, but this one just wan't! I think the print must have been a bit big.

Gwynnie Bee Review + Free Month Coupon December 2015 - scuba

JULIAN TAYLOR - SCUBA DRESS IN NAVY PRINT

Now I know why they call them scuba dresses - they are made of thick, synthetic material. I really liked the print on this dress on the model, but when I wore, it, it didn't look or feel very good on me.

SANDRA DARREN - COLORBLOCK SWEATER DRESS WITH COWL NECK

This dress, on the other hand, was super flattering with its color gradient, and it was also warm and cozy to wear!

TAYLOR DRESSES - SHIFT DRESS IN DIAGONAL COLORBLOCKING

I absolutely love the mod look of this dress! It wasn't particularly flattering, and I wasn't wild about the polyester, but it was comfortable and had an amazing retro-chic vibe.

Gwynnie Bee Review + Free Month Coupon December 2015 - mandalas

ISABEL + ALICE - GEOMETRIC ASYMMETRIC HANDKERCHIEF TOP

This top was super cute and flattering as well.

Gwynnie Bee Review + Free Month Coupon December 2015 - sweater

BB DAKOTA - WOLF SWEATER

This sweater was awesome! It was nice and thick for an outdoor adventure on Friday night, and I actually got compliments on the wolf print!

ISABEL + ALICE - MOD FLORAL FIT & FLARE DRESS

I haven't worn this dress yet; somehow I didn't realize that the sleeves were so short. I might have to send it back unworn. It's a bit summery for me.

The Verdict: Gwynnie Bee is so fun! It's become a regular part of my monthly wardrobe rotation, and I couldn't be happier! I wear almost everything they send (ideal or not), so I feel like I have a neverending wardrobe. I think it's also cut down on my spending as far as clothing goes, which is great because I tire of items quickly. I'm a big fan of Gwynnie Bee!

This will probably get lost but a heads-up that GB sent out an email that they are raising prices this year. It appears anyone who signs up after February 1st is subject to higher monthly fees for membership.

I finally caved and took the free month last night. My options are limited on their site as I need crew neck styles (unless the item will layer well with a scarf). I have to keep my chest covered for work. No scoop or boat necks, unless they’ll look good with that scarf option.

I absolutely think a dress that hits mid thigh is inappropriate for work. Really anything above the knee is not going to work for me. Hello ModCloth, are you listening, too??

Lastly, I need half sleeve tops or ones that pair well with cardigans. Not a lot of options on the Gwinnie Bee site. I was surprised to see they don’t offer many cardis, unless you’re looking for a cropped, deep-V one…

For $85 per month, I think I’ll be cancelling right away. There just aren’t any options on their site for me. What a bummer. I am interested to feel the quality of their clothes.

Anna, try a safety pin from the inside for wrap tops or layer with a tank underneath. 🙂

Several cute items this month!
