I did the 12 month gilt city deal but I started in November, I was also able to use the welcome30 code. For what I paid I think the box is definitely worth it, but I do not think this box is worth $21 at all. I have not had any issues yet.

I, too, had bought the gilt city in November and waited till early December to activate my account so that I could have the December box as a Christmas gift. Instead, after reaching out several times through email and Facebook, I finally got an email saying that the December box is on back order. They asked me if I wanted to be refunded or wait for the December box; I told them I wanted nothing to do with the December box as it is already almost January and I see no point in receiving each box a month later than its intended box…they responded by giving me glossy dots and saying I will receive the December box when it is available.
I don’t WANT the December box anymore! What’s the point of receiving each box a month late?! Ugh I had heard all these complaints and STILL bought he gilt deal and now I am regretting it. Spare yourself the disappointment and frustration…DO NOT BUY!

I think they are very behind. I bought the Gilt deal early enough to get the November box, but I didn’t get the December box until last week. What I’m telling myself is to not expect their boxes until the end of the month, that way I hope I won’t be disappointed.
I just wrote my review of the December box and linked to it from my name, in case anyone is interested. While I ended up only liking one or maybe two of the items in the box, it did include five full-size products with a total value of $76. In comparison, my Birchbox this month gave me five tiny samples with a total value of $11.

I was just going to contact them today to ask why I haven’t received my December box that I applied my voucher to 4 weeks ago but I’m sure they are behind from the holidays so it’s good to know what’s going on and what to expect. Not sad to not get the December box, it didn’t look that great, but hope there’s no delay on the January box and that I get credited back for the December box I did not receive.

From the email I got, they credited me “glossy dots” that cover a free glossy box, but to still expect the December box whenever the hell it comes. Which sucks because I do not want that box. It didn’t seem too great!

I purchased the same 12-month deal when Gilt City had it around November. Redeemed the voucher with Glossybox at the very beginning of December (intending to gift the December box for Xmas), still have not received my first box, and I had not received any communication from them. When I emailed a few days ago, Glossybox replied “Unfortunately, it seems this edition is on back-order, as our warehouse is waiting on stock replenishment due to holiday delays from our vendors. Sadly, we do not have a time frame yet of when this will be completed. Do you wish to wait for the December box or would you prefer a refund for this order?” And in the last couple of days they’ve emailed offering something like an extra lip pencil with the December box. (Odd given their reply to my email!) I don’t think I can get a refund of the Gilt City voucher… Given my experience, I would no longer consider this to be a good deal!

Same thing happened to me with Gilt City deal…they gave me 1000 glossy dots which they said is redeemable for a box because they could not refund me due to buying Gilt City. So, when my subscription expires I will just use the Glossydots for the next box….
