UPDATE 2: Unfortunately, the deal was originally working for 50% off any length subscription, but now is only for the first month of any Block subscription. (Shipping is separate and not discounted)

UPDATE:  The area to enter coupon code is no longer appearing in checkout. We've reached out to Nerd Block and will update when we hear back. I would advise on holding off on this deal for now.

The Nerd Block Black Friday is live! Use coupon code BLOCKFRIDAY to save 50% off the first month to any Nerd Block subscription. (Shipping is separate). This works on all blocks: Arcade Block, Nerd Block Classic, Comic Block, Horror BlockSci Fi Block, or Nerd Block Jr!

This is extremely deceptive business practice. The ad clearly states 50% of ANY monthly subscription and there is no opportunity to use the coupon code. I would seriously contemplate no longer reviewing them on your website. They do not deserve this type of exposure and posting reviews for them does a disservice to your loyal readers.

By any chance, did anyone happen to see the mistake on the Nerd Block site stating that the grab blocks were $0 plus shipping? My friend placed an order based on this, and now Nerd Block is refusing to refund the money for her order, which she no longer wants. If anyone happened to capture a screenshot of the page when this was on the site (it has since been corrected), I would love to know, as they are denying this ever appeared on the site.

I got a reply! They basically said this is only for one month subs and I shouldn’t have expected it to work on a multi month sub because those already have a discount.

I tried paying by Paypal and credit card for a 6 month subscription and there is nowhere to enter a promo code.

Paid with PayPal. Had NO place to put a coupon. I went to the end and it gave me the confirmation instead of a place to put a coupon code.

Ouch! Sorry you didn’t get the promo – but definitely thanks for letting us know. I’ll just let this go, then. It’s not like the “kid” (grown man) needs any more toys anyway, let alone a year of them.

I sound like such a hypocrite typing about how he doesn’t need any more toys while surrounded by the racks that hold my massive nail polish collection. o.0

I’m still not seeing a place to input this code. Off to the left there is my payment and shipping info and at the bottom is the big “complete your purchase” button and right above it is the option to sign up for their newsletter. I see no option to enter a code anywhere on the page. Anyone else figure it out? I would love to subscribe for 6 months and give this as a gift.

So weird – the area to enter your coupon was there this morning and now it is gone. We’ve reached out. I’ll update as soon as we hear back.

Thanks, Liz!

I’m trying to get a one year for my son, and it won’t even redirect me to Paypal. It keeps telling me to select my billing, shipping and payment type again. :-/

I am going through the help section, and it’s telling me that you can’t use a promo code for a “packaged subscription” as there’s already a discount, but that makes no sense if they’re offering a code for ANY length subscription. I’ve tried emailing these folks with a question before when I wanted to gift a subscription and they never emailed me back, so unless I can find a phone number to call and ask for assistance or someone else can figure this out, I may just let it go.

My 4 year old boy loves Frozen and hello kitty so I’m split between getting nerd block Jr boys or girls

Thanks! I was afraid to click review order because I am using Paypal!

I did it with a credit card, so I’m not sure if it is different, but I’m assuming it wouldn’t be.

Anyone know where to put the code?

Can’t apply promo codes for multi-month subscriptions, so this only helps for the month to month it seems. 🙁

Yeah that would’ve been helpful if the stinkin’ coupon wasn’t for any length!! I’m so glad since its Thanksgiving, we have leftovers til my paycheck goes in because it took like all of what I have in the bank except a few bucks. Half off is great plus the kids have been begging for this. Full price, I’m really really not happy about!

You can enter the code at the very last page of checkout. After you click “review order” – I tested it before posting and I was able to apply the coupon and verify the amount before I was charged. Hope that helps! 🙂
