This box doesn't have a specific item info card, but subscribers received an email with product details.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfume 1.5 ml Value $2

I'm not the biggest fan of perfume samples in subscription boxes, but there are so many awesome samples in this box - I can't complain!

Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme – .17 oz Value $8.50

This creme almost instantly absorbs and made my skin feel so soft. It’s scented (I prefer unscented skincare), but the scent isn’t too strong and fades.

Philosophy Loveswept Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel - 1 oz Value $1.50

This Loveswept line from Philosophy is new to me, and I like the scent! (My favorite Philosophy scents are still the products that smell like desserts!)

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash - 1 oz Value $3.60

I've received this product a few times in subscription boxes, so it isn't a super exciting item for me, but travel-sized cleanser is always useful!

Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bad Blood - .03 oz Value $7.30

Hm, this shade actually looks similar the shade Taylor Swift wears in the Bad Blood video!

Bad Blood

The red has cool undertones (my preference for bold reds), and the formula isn't drying like some matte-lip products can be. (Swatched two pictures below).

Anatasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Vintage – FULL SIZE! Value $16

This lip gloss gives a sheer wash of color, a ton of shine, no stickiness, and it smells like cupcakes! I love it!

Benefit They’re Real Mascara - .1 oz Value $8

I love all the Benefit Mascara I've sampled, and this one is a classic. It's a good size too - 1/3 the size of the full size version.

Here is the lipgloss and lipstick swatched (lipstick on top):

And this bag is fabulous! I love my ipsy bags (most of the time) but this one is even better!

It's lined with a nylon fabric and has a Macy's tag too:

Verdict: This box has a value of about $50! That's so impressive for a $10 beauty box - especially considering that they are featuring only high-end department store brands! The samples are all good sizes, and I love that they will be featuring one full-size product each month. If Macy's can keep this up every month - I think they will be the leader in the $10 beauty box category soon! (Now it is a race to see if Macy's or Sephora opens up their complete waitlist first!)

What do you think of the first Macy's The Spotlight Box? (Make sure to sign up for email alerts at the bottom of this post if you want updates on this box!)

So I had emailed this website asking if there was any chance that they would be out soon with this soon because my birthday was November 15th and I received an email a day or 2 later says that they were very sorry but all spots were taking up and this subscription box with not be coming out until early 2016. I have the email but I’m not sure how to post it here. Soooo we wait.:(

How do you get on the waitlist? Link doesn’t seem to work for me.

Ann

I tried to enter my name and e-mail to sign up, but the website didn’t do anything. Did anybody else have any problems recently?

too many toxic products…

njs

I agree. They’re so pretty looking though! I don’t understand how so much toxic crap is allowed in products we use every day on our bodies. Have you tried any of the natural sub boxes? I just signed up for la ritzy. Babeboxx is one of my favourites and of course Petit Vour and Vegancuts. Although i need to cut down lol i think it’ll be VC that goes.

Dang, between Sephora, Macy’s, Allure, Target, BeautyFix, and Birchbox’s curated boxes all having such high end or well known store brands…
Boxes like Ipsy, BB5 (and honestly Boxycharm for me) don’t stand a chance with their overflow of price-inflated-low-quality-internet-only brands.

THAT BAG! Does anyone else have it too? Can’t remember where I got it from I think maybe it was a Nordstrom gift with purchase? The zipper is too fimsy to be beauty.com

Great box, Macy’s! Now spread some of that magic and let the rest of us in. Please. 🙂 You could beat Sephora…! 😉

Helen

Aww, stop it already! I’m signed up for their waitlist with 2 email addresses and they’re not offering anything yet.

Wow, can’t wait, love the bag

Also, love love love the bag BUT if they could also turn things up and have other make up tools that would be super nice =) As in mirrors, eye lash curlers, etc. Just a bag all the time would be a little boring. For $10 I’m totally not complaining, just throwing it out there 😉

Cristina

This looks amazing, they need to open up the waitlist asap!

Aimee

I’m on the waitlist. What I find most exciting about this sub is that if I find something I like, I know where to buy it

This is a nice first box even though I am also annoyed about the waitlist. I think 7 products (even including perfume sample) and a bag is impressive. I am guessing a lot of lip or eye products will be the full-size products. I am not a big fan of Bliss face wash as it has a micro beads and also not so convenient when travelling when it is half or more empty, it is hard to get the product out unless you have it sit upside down for a while.

I hope they open up the waitlist soon! What a great make-up bag too. Wasn’t expecting that.

This made me lol because I feel exactly the same way. I want it NOW!!

MaryJane

I’m starting to get annoyed with their marketing strategies where they create a waitlist to get people hyped up. Why not roll it out when you’re ready to accept orders?

Is anyone not on the wait list? I’m a little bummed the perfume is not a mini! I hope that changes. The bag almost makes up for it though!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Right? I would totally ditch Ipsy for this. But not until I am actually on the real list, not wait list.

Caitlin

I noticed that Macy’s sent these out to bloggers for reviewing. I think that’s a great idea because the box is fantastic, I just hope it’s not like Play! by Sephora where they’re dangling a carrot in front of our faces and not allowing us to sign up. This and Sephora’s sub look great, but I’m tired of waiting for Sephora to open it up to all regions. I hope Macy’s learns from that and makes it available to everyone, and soon!
