lit-cube-nov-2015-legacy

Tentyrian Legacy by Elise Walters - Retail Value $19.99 (On Amazon for $17.80)

Book Summary from Amazon:

Arianna Parker always knew she was different—but she never could have known she was the prophesied descendent of an ancient Egyptian vampire race.

The legacy begins in the sands of Egypt in a time when an ancient city called Tentyris flourished. Its secretive people, ruled by the Council of the Zodiac, lived peacefully alongside humanity. That time was 53 B.C. More than two millennia later, the power of the Tentyrian people has been all but forgotten. The remnants of memory that live on have been turned into twisted folklore about vampires and astrology.

One girl on the cusp of womanhood is about to discover just how real that folklore is.

With telepathic powers that made her parents send her to a mental institution, Arianna Parker always knew she was different—but she never thought a job interview would lead to the discovery of her being a prophesied descendent of an ancient Egyptian vampire race. Nor for that matter did she think she would fall in love with Maximos Vasilliadis, a 2,225 year old vampire. Maximos is the creator of the Tentyrian Brotherhood—a secret order of warriors, pledged to prevent a catastrophic event predicted to wipe out Earth.

Maximos believes Arianna is a descendent of his kind—the Tentyrian vampires—and she has been destined to lead their cause in saving the world. With her 25th birthday approaching, an event that will change her forever, Arianna finds herself caught in the middle of warring vampires—some of whom intend to use her and her power of telepathy for evil.

From the manicured lawns of Connecticut, to the streets of New York City and an exotic island in the Ionian Sea, Arianna must learn to trust Maximos and her heart if she is to save the world, herself, and the Tentyrian legacy.

Dracula Inspired Journal - Retail Value $9.99

This journal has lined paper and it a Lit-Cube exclusive!

litcube-nov-2015-print

Dracula Inspired Print - Value $6.99

This print measures 5"X7". I'm not sure if it is an exclusive design for Lit-Cube - there is not artist info included.

litcube-nov-2015-scarf

Holiday Skulls Infinity Scarf - Value $10

This is made with a super soft jersey material, and I think it works well with the theme! I'm not sure I can pull off the look, so it may be gifted, or I might just wear it around the house - it is cozy!

lit-cube-nov-2015-lip-balm

Time Warper Series Mirror

Lippincott Soap Company Bite Me! Black Cherry Lip Balm - Value $4

Push and Pull by Emily Cyr Pen

If you are interested in the Time Warper Series, the first book Fated is available for free on Amazon Kindle!

This lip balm is really good - it reminds me of my favorite lip balm in middle school: Dr. Pepper Cherry Lip Smacker!

lit-cube-nov-2015-damned

This box also included a free ebook copy of Damned If I Do and a coupon to get Legally Undead for $.99.

Verdict: I think LitCube does such a fantastic job with curation! I have to admit, I've never gotten into the Vampire genre - but maybe Tentyrian Legacy will get me interested!

What do you think of the November 2015 LitCube box?

My favorite part of the box this month was the scarf, and I don’t wear scarves at all.

I LOVED the scarf. It totally fit the whole vampire, horror vibe in general. Some are just unhappy with any and everything I guess.

I have my entire box up for swap. LitCube is one of my favorite boxes to get but vampires aren’t my thing!

If you still have the scarf I’d be really interested!

I have the scarf if anyone is interested.

Hi Valeria, do you still have the scarf?

I really love this box and vampires aren’t even my theme! I am sorry that you had that experience Ashley: I have had to contact the owner before and she has been fantastic (and responded to my message within minutes).

Ashley

I tried to ask her about The Originals item that was advertised, and she responded to my post and demanded that I stop “trolling” her page and trying to “stir up trouble” after asking ONE question on the page’s Facebook.
Glad you had a good experience via Facebook, because I surely did not…

I agree the scarf does not really fit with the theme. That being said I love it and wish I could sign up for this box now. I wish I knew where they got it I would definitely order the scarf.

I still use Dr. Pepper lip smackers. I’m 38!

So wishing I could subscribe to LitCube … with the hubs not working right now I’m trying to save money. This book sounds interesting and I love anything to do with vampires so I will be adding this to my “to read” list for sure!! And I am super jealous of that journal!! ?????? The scarf doesn’t really match the whole vampire theme but I still think the curation of items is awesome. So looking forward to when I can subscribe!!

I actually was very bummed that the scarf wasn’t really part of the theme… Just didn’t seem to be put together very well, in my opinion. My scarf was also falling apart, and my mirror arrived covered in some gunk.
I attempted to contact the company/owner… she accused me of “just not liking” the items and then either ignored or blocked my email after that. So… be warned about that. I’ve canceled my subscription (obviously).
I’m very disappointed. I was really expecting more from the description of the theme, and the customer service is lacking severely…

That scarf.. OMG I need it!!! 😀 Great review!

I think the curation of the box was well done. However, wasn’t it supposed to include and exclusive item from the TV series the Originals??
That was the deciding factor for me purchasing this box.

Shaunte-
I’m super sorry that item didn’t make it into the box, what actually happened, was the hand mirror was going to be Originals themed, but my graphic designer got nervous about using the logo for copyright issues and since no one (when I posted) about the Originals item seemed interested/exited, I made a last minute judgement to remove it. I’m very sorry. If you’d ever like to pick up another box, let me know and I’ll get you a coupon code for your trouble.
Blessings,
Peggy

Thank you Peggy for explaining. You made the right call to avoid any copyright infringement. I still enjoyed the box and gave it many praises to my sister ?. I bought your December box already, but I will take you up on your offer for January’s box. Thanks again!

Ashley

Was it, Shaunte?? I hadn’t heard that, but that definitely would’ve helped…

Hi Ashley, yes it was. Liz posted it as a spoiler for the Immortal Kiss theme. I was so excited when I read that.
