I logged into my Birchbox account, 210 points are available. I added the yearly subscription, then the 25% discount code. I have tried on my laptop and tablet, on neither browser was I able to use my points to pay for the subscription. Any suggestions??

I did it by purchasing the womens 12 month subscription gift card. Add it to cart, it should ask if you want to use points and then put in promo! They will send the card to you.

So excited!!! I used the 25% off code (not an ace) and my points and got an annual sub for $42.50. That drops my box down to $3.54 per month woot woot!!! I also got the glossybox deal a few weeks ago for $8.75 a box. With all this money ive saved I can afford another sub or two. LOL

So my account status is still active and they are closed until Monday. My last box for my annual was November’s. I’m guessing my status will stay active until December. I emailed them…
I don’t understand why it’s so easy for monthly to upgrade to a yearly and just to renew a yearly is like pulling teeth. Grr! So frustrating! I opted out of the automatic renewal and canceled my account and it says I’m still active…do I gift myself a yearly sub just to get the deal???

I was able to email them requesting a call and within five minutes they called. I had a friend gift me and I gifted them. Worked well! I needed birchbox to stop the auto renewal though

I finally made up my mind and got: Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($42), Lipstick Queen Lipstick in Frog Prince ($25), L. Erickson Grab & Go Pony Tube ($18), and a mystery sample pack. Altogether $85, or $95 if you count the sample pack, which I doubt anyone ever pays for. Grand total after discount and points = $0.00. Best purchase ever.

They’ll let you unsubscribe during the first month. But after that, no.

My only beauty subscription box is Allure (and I almost always get the Target boxes, and I get Walmart). Birchbox befuddles me because there are always so many different versions and points and a system I don’t understand, so I’ve stayed away. Should I be subscribing? I like Allure because it’s normal brands, not some cosmetic company in someone’s basement with highly inflated RVs (like appears to be the case in Boxycharm!). How does Birchbox compare?

The vast majority of brands you find in Birchbox are legitimate high-end brands. Some are less well known than others, but are still quality. For instance, I first discovered the hair care brand Davines at Birchbox. The only other store that carries Davines is friggin’ Barnies.
I’ve found more new products and brands that I love via Birchbox than any other beauty sub.
But that’s just me. 🙂

Thanks, Tamara! That’s a good point. I assume that if I don’t know of a brand, it must be garbage, but it didn’t occur to me that it may be so high-end and that’s why I never heard of it 🙂
Another concern I have is that it seems so complicated. I tried searching for Birchbox reviews here and there are so many posts about different options and different boxes. I don’t want to have to think about it, I just want a box to arrive every month. Is it possible to just sign up and be done or do I need to make choices?

I am going insane!! I’m trying to upgrade from month-to-month to an annual with the ACESONLY code (been waiting a couple months to do this), but I can’t do it!! There’s no place for me to upgrade on the site. As I recall, I need to cancel the month-to-month, then purchase the annual, but there’s no Cancel button where there’s supposed to be (on the My Account page.)

I just upgraded my month to month this morning. If you go to your account page there is a link that says upgrade to annual or something along those lines.( it is located in the upper left corner- where it says subscription active, then your tracking # for Nov box, then the link which was in a different color if I recall) click the link and it adds the annual sub to your cart and don’t forget to add your mystery sample pack!

That’s the problem, though. Those links aren’t there. It says Status: Active, then links to update my profile and my Nov box tracking. No cancel or upgrade links.

I ordered a 12 Month Women’s Gift Card instead of Upgrading my account to an Annual Subscription – oops. I hope it’s just a matter of entering in the gift card number when it arrives and maybe canceling my month to month. Anyone know?

Yay! I got the Charmed Life and a Coastal Scents Palette (I actually like their formula better than my Too Faced Chocolate Bar) plus a mystery pack. It has ALREADY SHIPPED!
(Funny thing was I was looking at the total before hitting “order” and kept saying “Why am I spending this much? I don’t need this.” Then I realized I forgot the ACESONLY code….DUH!)
I went back later and upgraded my subscription to an annual. Even with tax it works out to only about $7 per box!
I used $10 in points on my 1st order and now have almost $20 to spend again! Love this!

November was my last month for my annual and I clicked to opt out of my renewal and it still says I’m active?? I’m trying to resub for the annual with the 25%…but it’s not showing to resubscribe!! Grrr!

I’m having the exact same issue. I canceled my sub hours ago and it still says that it’s active as well. I just don’t want to miss December because of a technical error.

No worries, it can be fixed! the same thing happened with me. I initiated a chat with the customer service rep and she just needed to change my account to inactive. I refreshed my account page and viola! I was able to add a annual sub + mystery pack to my cart and checkout with the 30% acesonly discount total was $77 for the year. within 5 minutes of starting my chat I was checking out, super easy and quick

For long time subscriber like me don’t even get the box subscription discount price. They really should for royalty customer. I was supposed to get the bracelet when I resubscribe awhile ago. The customer service told me they are out of stock and will ship to me when it is become available. Nada. It had been months.
