Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - package

Wantable Accessories is one of several different subscription boxes offered by Wantable, including Wantable Intimates, Style Edit, Fashion Edit, and Makeup. At the beginning of the subscription, you fill out a fairly in-depth questionnaire to customize what you will receive in your box. Wantable also accepts returns on any item you don't like, so you get a retail value as well as "your" price that you will be refunded if you return an item.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - invoice

Here is the invoice of my order with retail prices and "my" prices for each item. If you keep everything, you get a $4 credit for your next box.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - preferences

This shows my preferences based on the questionnaire I filled out at the beginning of the subscription. You can change your answers at any time, too. They promise to not send you anything you dislike, and to send more of what you love.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - headband

Banded Ocean Batik Headband - Retail $10 / My Price $6.25

This headband is beautiful! AND it's hand-batiked! I hope the beautiful color doesn't get lost in my hair.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - box

The other accessories were inside this box. I like Wantable's new packaging a lot! And we all love a box, don't we?

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - earrings

Lillian Drop Earrings - Retail $18 / My Price $11.25

I like the design of these earrings, but not the finish. The invoice describes it as antique gold, but to me it just looks like they are old. I might have to get a second opinion on these...

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - meredith

Meredith Necklace - Retail $17 / My Price $10.62

I like this necklace a lot! I like long necklaces to begin with, and this one is so unusual!

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - meredith-pendant

Here's a closer look at the pendant. I like the unfinished, industrial look of the wrapped silver wire around a traditional, finished circle.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - lola

Lola Necklace - Retail $19 / My Price $11.88

This, of course, is my favorite piece in the box. You know I love earth bling! I was so excited to see this! It's a medium length necklace, but I think that will draw more attention to the beautiful stones.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review October 2015 - lola-stones

Here's a closer look at the stones. The invoice describes then as "semi-precious," but doesn't say what exactly they are. I wish I knew! They look like cilantro ice cubes. Gorgeous!

The Verdict: I am always so happy to receive my monthly Wantable Accessories! I feel like every month they are getting closer and closer to giving me exactly what I want. This month was almost a home run, I'm just a little hesitant about the finish on the earrings. And the value this month was $64, which is terrific for a $36 box!

What do you think of Wantable Accessories?

Thanks Tamara! In my experience they are really good about paying attention to the notes. I would give them a definite range like ‘please only send necklaces between 18 and 22″. You can also return items you don’t like. Hope that helps!

This is indeed encouraging! I think I may give them a shot.

When I first started considering them, $36 seemed like too much to risk on a subscription box. That was a while ago, though. Now that I’ve taken the plunge on the Neiman Marcus PSMH and all of the PSMH LEs and the RZ Box of Style and Oui Please and Burke Box and… yeah. $36 doesn’t seem so scary anymore. 🙂

I’m so glad you reviewed this box!

I keep on waffling about Wantable’s Accessories sub. I know these are costume/fashion pieces, but do they look and/or feel cheap??

Also, how good are they about using your input from the Notes section when you sign up? I have a thick neck (sigh) and I need necklaces to be at least 20″ to be comfortable on me. If I choose only “short” necklaces, they might not fit at all. But I also hate really long necklaces. I don’t want any that descent past my chest. O.o Do you think they would actually use that info??

I got a package of assorted necklace extenders off of Amazon and it’s been fantastic – I can wear pretty much any necklace I get in a subscription box now.

Great point! I do have a couple cheapie extenders, but I should seriously get more and better ones! Sometimes it doesn’t work (e.g. the chain is too thick for my extender to get around, etc), but better quality ones should help a lot. 🙂

Thank you, that is a great suggestion, as I have a couple of gift necklaces which are too snug for comfort.

I had very good luck using notes. I also made phone requests for this as well as the intimates box and customer service was fantastic. I think they can accommodate your necklace request though it may limit your choices in a given month. Of course you can always opt to dislike necklaces and focus on another category instead. I always focused on just two at a time and always included scarves as one of them (great way to build a collection). For the most part I didn’t love their jewelry but did love the scarves and sunglasses.

Thank you for the info!

When you say you didn’t love their jewelry, was that because it didn’t match your taste or because you found it to be poor quality?
