L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Mascara - FULL SIZE! Value $5.89
This is one of the best drugstore mascaras I've ever tried. It adds length and volume, plus I can layer it on without any clumps! (And considering this is the only full-sized item in the box, I'm happy it is a winner!)
L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Shampoo - 1.7 oz Value $.50
This shampoo includes sulfates in the ingredients, so I'll be donating it. (I have to avoid sulfates in hair products since my hair is color treated).
L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray - 2.2 oz (Travel Size) Value $6.69
I've sampled this hairspray before, and I can see why it is a classic. It gives you hold without making hair tacky or stiff. I'm happy to have a travel sized version!
Now onto the foil pack samples:
L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Ultimate Straight Sample Pack
This set includes a shampoo, pre-conditioner and conditioner. I have the same sulfate issue with this shampoo, so this will be donated as well.
L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Volume Filler
This sample card includes the serum and the cream. (I'm not too excited about card samples, so it doesn't matter too much to me, but it looks like the L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Night Cream card samples are missing from this box):
And the box also included a card with stickers to help you find your True Match Foundation shade:
Verdict: This box has a value of about $13. (I'm not counting retail value for the foil packets). For me this box is worth it for the mascara and hair spray, so I'm happy with getting the box for only $5, but I must admit it isn't as great as the past Target Beauty Boxes that featured various brands.
What do you think of the October Target Beauty Box? (Which brand would you like to see them do a branded box with next? I know a few readers mentioned Burt's Bees - I love that idea!)
