target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-info

Each box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more.

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-RoC

RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream - FULL SIZE! Value $20

(One thing to mention - the product description of the Target Beauty Box originally listed this item as the RoC eye cream). I've heard good things about RoC, and it's great to get a full-size skincare product in this box!

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-covergirl

Covergirl Intensify Me Eyeliner in 300 (Intense Black)  - FULL SIZE! Value $7

This eyeliner has a pretty slick design (and I get a ton of black eyeliners in subscription boxes), so it is nice to be surprised by something new in the black eyeliner category! Depending on how you hold the liner, you can get a thin or thicker line. (More photos and swatches below).

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Wardrobe - FULL SIZE! Value $8.59

This lipstick is more like a cross between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm. (Not as much coverage as I would expect from a regular lipstick). That's actually preferred for me since this color would be a little too bold otherwise. (Swatched below). And this is a little silly - but it has a really satisfying clicking mechanism when you push up the lipstick!

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-thin

Here is the thinner side of the eyeliner marker. And the thicker side:

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-thick

Swatches of both:

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-revlon

And the lipstick came with a $1 coupon for Revlon Colorstay Lip products.

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-goody

Olly Beauty Vitamins (2) - Value $.50

Goody Ouchless Silicone Lined Elastics - Value $.50

Gummies that make you more beautiful?! I ate them immediately. (Full disclosure: I eat all gummies immediately). To be more specific, these gummies have vitamins and supplements designed to improve the health of your hair, skin and nails. I can't evaluate them on that claim, but I thought they were tasty! Here is a close up of a gummy:

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-gummy

And those hair elastics always come in handy! (These ones have a silicone lining on one side to make them extra grippy).

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-acure

ACURE Moroccan Argan Oil + Stem Cell Triple Repair Shampoo & Conditioner - 2 oz total Value $2.50

I LOVE the Acure brand! Their products work well, they are free of pretty much any ingredient you may want to avoid, and I love the scents too!

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-skinfix

Skinfix Ultra Rich Body Butter - 1 oz - Value $2.25

This is another brand I love. This body butter is free of fragrance, soy, gluten, parabens and phthalates, and it is a rich body creme - perfect for dry skin weather!

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-hello

Hello Spearmint Toothpaste - .75 oz $.70

I was expecting Mojito Mint toothpaste based on the product description of this box, but spearmint works too! This toothpaste is sugar and dye free, plus vegan! (And I love fun packaging!)

S.W. Basics Certified Organic Exfoliant - Sample packet

When I first pulled this item out of the box it looked like a spices sample that belonged in a food subscription box:

target-beauty-box-10-oct-2015-scrub

But I guess that's because it is only made with three ingredients: organic oat flour, organic almond flour, and sea salt!

Verdict: This is one of my favorite Target Beauty Boxes of all time! The value is great (about $42) and I love the variety of items, the brands featured, and the sample sizes. What do you think of the latest Target Beauty Box?

So disappointed I missed out on this box. Amazing deal for the price!

I emailed Target earlier today about the mascara and also mentioned that the SW Basics (might have the brand wrong?) exfoliant thing that was on the card was NOT the same one as I received. I got an oat flour one, and the one described was sugar and coconut.

Since I paid with my Paypal account, they’re giving me a $4 Target giftcard! Unexpected!!!

Just wanted to report back.

Dang it! I got $2 back for the lack of mascara but also got the oat flour exfoliator. I smelled like oatmeal, my lips tasted salty, and it just melted into a mess – was not “exfoliate-y” at all. I wish I’d mentioned it and gotten $4 back instead! Oh, well. I don’t like to complain for the sake of complaining, but, yuck. I hated that product.

For those that feel like getting a $2 refund based on the fact that the mascara was did not come in the box as advertised on their website you can. If you don’t feel like talking to someone live like myself you can just email them make sure you go back to your old email and copy the order number just to make things easier for them to look you up. They will give you a response in about 24 hrs for me since it was a weekend. Perhaps faster during the week.

Got my box today. Very pleased. Lip color is Wardrobe. Glad I got the Roc Night Cream since got the Serum in my Walmart box. Didn’t care one way or another about the mascara since have several unopened tubes already. It’s a little ludicrous the way people pick this box apart every time it comes out. You’re basically getting free stuff and some are still not satisfied. SMH….

I agree totally. It’s worse on the Walmart box. We only pay shipping, so the box is free. They make no promises but people are worse than children at Christmas comparing their things to make sure that they got as much as the other guys.

Thanks for the tip about returning the lipstick in-store! I did that yesterday with Fashionista and it worked. You need two things: one really nice Target helper and time. Since the individual lipstick doesn’t have a receipt, I needed proof of my purchase so they looked up my acct and created a receipt specific for the item. The target employee was nice enough to do all this for me and it was it was good that it wasn’t that busy. I love my new shade now 🙂 I suggest you print out the invoice to make it easier when you do go ?

Good info.. I should be getting my BB on Monday. If I need or want to change the lipstick color, I think I’ll print out my Target order confirmation (email), too. Again, thanks for the info.!

I decided to do a little sleuthing when I saw that the mascara was missing as well as the switch with the ROC product. The mascara was supposed to be a W3ll People traveler mascara which Target sells for $12.50 on their website. Also, the Roc eye cream sells for 21.99 on their website but the deep wrinkle cream we received is only $20.49. They advertised their box value to be $50 but you came up with only $42 so I am disappointed in their duplicity.

AmyM

I feel like it was probably just overlooked proofreading errors, rather than intentional duplicity. A $42 value box for $10 still feels like a win to me. They’re certainly not relying on the sale of beauty boxes to keep them in business.

So glad I saw the tip here about the mascara refund! just contacted them on chat, about the mascara missing from both boxes I ordered, and got the refund in less then 5 minutes! I call that costumer service!
Like everyone here, I absolutely LOVE my box 🙂 got one for me and one as a gift for my bestie. Wish i got the mojito toothpaste… but I guess the spearmint is ok too haha.
The color I got for the lipstick is wardrobe too. Looks fab! ate the gummies while opening the box and started using the ROC right away. The night cream is the reason i got this box, but everything else was great too. Can’t wait for the next Target box! this one was such an improvement after that horrible L’Oreal box…
Since my Ipsy this month was such a tremendous disappointment, I’m glad that this box was such a hit 🙂

I have yet to receive my box but I am absolutely SHAKING WITH EXCITEMENT reading all of these reviews! I also have to mention Target’s customer service- while I did have to call 3 times (2 of the times I spoke to the same man who didn’t understand that I didn’t receive my shipment… but the THIRD time, I received an amazing rep. She understood my issue with delivery, talked to her manager and actually had them BUILD THIS BEAUTY BOX for me, as they were now sold out. She then threw in a 5 dollar apology coupon on top of it- I don’t know if I’ll get the mascara with this custom beauty box… but I’ll keep ya’ll posted!

Does anyone know when the next one goes on sale? I missed this one!!!

I also noticed the mascara in the website listing but missing from the box. I wrote them via their customer service email form on the Target website and asked if I could have a replacement item, even if it meant going to a local Target to pick it up and they responded with an apology and a $2 refund back to my credit card. I seriously think I may like the Target boxes better than any other at this price point right now. The items are always a great assortment of really useful things, not just my billionth black eye pencil and candy-pink lip gloss, and they consistently blow away most of the ten dollar subs I’ve tried. And now I find excellent customer service as well. They replied to my request within an hour with a refund.

I received the exact same box and I absolutely loved it! One of my favorite Target boxs! I feel bad for those that didn’t get the eyeliner cause it was one of my favorite items in the box! Haven’t tried the gummies yet…

Rebecca

I also got the $2 refund for the mascara.

My lipstick was in Fashionista, which I though my would be too brown for me but came out more pink than I expected. It ended up being a good color on me.

I haven’t tried the eyeliner because I still have yet to break into any of my eyeliner from Birchbox.

I love love love the ROC cream. I’ve used it every night since getting this box and haven’t had any issues with stinging or peeling, and my skin has a tendency to be oily in the T zone but otherwise rather dry. It smells good, too!

I tried the toothpaste (regular mint for me), which was fine, but since it’s nothing particularly special I put it in my travel bag.

I have yet to try the shampoo or conditioner.

The gummies were good but nothing I think I’d consider buying. The body butter is a little greasy and works no better than The Body Shop body butter that I happen to have on hand. My hands happened to have dry spots when I got the box, so I figured this was the perfect test, and I was slightly disappointed. I’ll stick with my Cerave.

The exfoliant was a big disappointment. Mine was basically puréed nuts and sea salt. It was practically impossible to open, especially in the shower, and it just turned into a greasy mess when it hit my skin. It didn’t seem to exfoliate at all. I threw out the rest.

Overall it was a great value, though! I’m so glad I bought this box!

My first Target Beauty Box and I love it! I also contacted help via chat with the missing mascara and received $2 credit. What a steal for $8. The Roc alone is amazing, plus everything else! I am so glad I get these emails now so I can get in on the Target box. I agree with others, the eye liner is hit or miss depending on your skills. Gummies were GOOD, and I really like the body butter too. Such nice travel size products for our quick weekend trip coming up. Heck, this box alone was better than any Ipsy bag I ever got, lol.

Gayla

Loved this box. I actually ordered two of them for the Roc alone. I didn’t get that color lipstick in either box, I wish I would have. I got a bright pink, It doesn’t look too bad on and it has staying plenty of staying power. The exfoliate smells terrible when it gets wet. But, I was happy to have a box that wasn’t full of hair care product.

These Target boxes have become no brainers for me. I always get a few things I or my family can use and I figure if I ever do swap I can swap the other goodies or if I end up never swapping I can give these away. I also think having sample sizes is really great for upcoming travel, having extras in my diaper bag or stocking stuffers.
My favorite discovery is actually the lipstick. I got the wardrobe color as well. I initially thought it was not going to look good on me. It is now one if my top three colors. I love the formula (although I don’t like the clicking for some reason) and I will definitely check out other colors. My advice for something this, relatively inexpensive, just try it. You can’t tell in the tube what it will look like on and even if you have tried similar shades before the formulation makes things different. One company’s red is not another’s.
I liked a lot of other items but wanted to point out the lipstick one since it shocked me how great thus color looked on me.
Also, it seems like there has been a lot of frustration about the last two boxes. I would say whether you loved it or not – review it. After the Amazon fake review stories I read an article that suggested that to combat this people should start reviewing their products. I am going to try to review more items too. I know I appreciate reviews so maybe I can help others by reviewing stuff too.

I received the same box and I LOVED it… it was exciting opening it up and seeing it so full… especially of full size products! The box was sooo worth the money this month! By far my favorite box!

I am so upset that I didn’t even see this went on sale! I must check this website and my email more throughly from now on.

I received the mint toothpaste (green container) and love it! The exfoliate foil sample was not my favorite. It felt gooey when I applied. I received a lighter shade of the lipstick (High Heels) and love it. It’s not a shade I would have picked myself, but I’m really pleased with it! I have super sensitive skin and have been using the Roc cream for the past three nights before bed. I’m surprised that it hasn’t broken me out. I really like it! GREAT box. The hair ties are fabulous, too — they really hold my thick hair nice and secure.

It shouldn’t brash you out as it has the same ingredients as acne medication. (:

I’m really glad I got this box – it’s great! I didn’t see the lipstick coupon before I threw out the packaging though so that’s a bit of a bummer. I got a different lipstick shade than Liz – mine is a cool-toned pink. My favorite item in this box is actually the eyeliner – it’s really easy to use!

Katherine

I totally agree on the eyeliner. It was the first time I was able to successfully create a cat eye. VERY exciting! Will definitely be buying another!

Kris10

Such a great box! I got the same one & really wanted to try the Mojito Mint toothpaste but I loved the body butter & shampoo / conditioner.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

I LOVED this box. This is definitely one of the best Target boxes yet! The full size items are awesome and I will definitely use them. I’m a little disappointed the mascara wasn’t included after all (I know there was some question of whether it would be, since it’s not in the Target photo, but it is in the description: http://www.target.com/p/target-beauty-box-50-value/-/A-50190829). I’m happy to know several people have contacted Target customer service and received a partial refund; I went ahead and sent them an email via their website asking about it, too. I didn’t demand a refund or anything, but I just wanted to ask why it wasn’t included and let them know it’s disappointing for some of us.

But even with that little bit of confusion, it’s an amazing box! (Although I used the Acure shampoo this morning and didn’t like it at all. I found it really watery, and after I poured the entire thing on my hair, I found I needed to use my normal shampoo, too, since there was barely any lather.)

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

Sulfate-free shampoos typically don’t lather much (although there are some exceptions). Lather is not actually needed for cleaning the hair/scalp, we have just been conditioned to expect it because SLS has traditionally been in so many shampoos.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

Good to know, thanks for the info! I have very long, thick hair so the reason I like lather is because it helps me spread product all over my scalp/hair without having to use a ton of product. When I use shampoos like the Acure one, i feel like the shampoo stays exactly where i put it and I can’t spread it out over my whole head. I think this might be a long-hair-problem thing, OR, to be fair, I was in a big rush this morning when I washed my hair, so maybe I didn’t put in enough elbow grease. 🙂

MaryJane

Doesn’t work on oily scalp. Trust me I’ve tried them all. They leave my scalp dirty and causes so much build up!

AmyM

Stellar box! I really like that it’s a mix of established and emerging brands. I received the lipstick in High Heels, appears very bright pink in the tube but tones down on the lips to be surprisingly wearable. I just used the eyeliner and loved it — I normally stay away from liquid but this was easy. All in all, I couldn’t be happier. This puts many other $10 boxes to shame!

Reply ButtonReply

Beckyloo

I got two boxes and both had the same bright pink color lipstick, “high heels”. I’m not thrilled with it, but I do like the formula. One of the boxes was missing the scrub as well, but even so I was pretty happy with the box this time. I would totally buy the toothpaste! It tastes so good! (i got the Mint Mojito) , and I am happy with the hair care items.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

I also liked this Target box as well. It feels so nice to receive a box packed with items! I received the exact same box as Liz and I was concerned about the color of lipstick being too dark/purple. Swatch and review (being sheer) really helped. I might try or can be gifted as I have too many lip products. I think Target had different price point, $5, $7 and $10 and I will be happy if they continue to stick to this price range.

Reply ButtonReply

Lucy

Anyone buy an extra one and don’t need it? I really wanted to buy this box but my redcard was not working that day and by the time I was able to call the 800 number the boxes were sold out 🙁

Thanks in advance!

This is the second Target BeautyBox I’ve purchased since early September, and both times if wouldn’t accept any of my cards (I tried several cards) if I was signed into my Target account. If I signed out and checked out as a guest, it worked :-\ Hopefully that helps you next time!

Lucy

Ugh! I wish I had tried that. I tried it quite a few times and nothing. Thanks for the tip!
