Sapphire Soul is a monthly subscription service that sends products designed to enhance mindfulness, mysticism, and spirituality. With a wide variety of monthly offerings, they bill themselves as the "Original Mindful + Mystic subscription box."

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - theme

The Subscription: Sapphire Soul

The Products: "Centered around a theme each month, the boxes typically include crystals, energy medicine, crystal healing jewelry, essential oils, teas, candles and holistic wellness products to relieve stress and find balance. In addition to the box contents, subscribers receive an insert or video insert that explains the meaning and intention behind each item that is featured in the month's box."

The Cost: Sapphire Soul offers so many different subscription types, I thought now would be a good time for a chart.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - info

This month's theme is Hamsa + Protection, and I am so happy about this theme! My mother is a big fan of the evil eye, she has them everywhere in her house, car, jewelry, etc. The hamsa (meaning "Hand of God") is used to deflect the evil eye, so I decided a while back to collect them. Bring it on, Mom! This information card lists all the items you may have possibly received in your package, but not all subscribers receive the same things.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - ritual

This sheet also came in the package, explaining how to use your items in a meditative Energy Protection Ritual. I think I will have to give this a try. For the record, I have pretty traditional Western religious / spiritual beliefs, but I have found that New Age / Eastern practices such as meditation and yoga have practical benefits. You can't know what practical benefits you might receive from a practice unless you try it, right? So I try most anything that doesn't seem harmful.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - extras

So much tiny literature came in this package! From top to bottom, left to right... An Earth Magic Oracle card showing a waterfall, Allison Dailey's (the owner) business card, a share + win notice (to win a box by sharing on social media), and Herbal Magic Candle affirmation, two temporary tattoos, and two information cards for the gemstones I received this month. Whew! I like the dreamcatcher tattoo!

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - stones

Malachite - Value $8
Hematite - Value $3.50
(I am using the values listed on the card throughout this review. I'm not sure where or how to shop for most of these things, and from what I do understand, most of the values listed look reasonable.)

These are the two gemstones I received, and both are polished smooth. Malachite protects against depression and emotional wounds and is attached to the heart chakra. Hematite is good for the root chakra, the one I am currently focused on aligning. It helps block negative energy, among other things.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - candle

Hamsa Votive Holder - Value $5
Crystal Journey Candle - $3

This votive holder is beautiful! The candle is a reiki energy charged candle for protection, and it smells a bit like licorice. The only thing I don't like is that the black candle doesn't look good in the holder... I think I will have to find a white protective candle somewhere.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - mug

Talk to the Hamsa mug - Value $8?
(This one isn't listed on the card.)

I love this mug! I've been using that phrase for ages, and I was so pleased to receive this. Unfortunately, as you can see, it arrived chipped. I contacted customer service two days ago, and they put a replacement in the mail for me the same day!

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - oil

Signature Sapphire Soul Smokeless Cleansing Mist - Value $11

What a great idea! One thing about "smudging" is that if you do it indoors, which is probably where you want the energy cleaned, there's a decent chance you will set off a fire alarm. This has a great earthy smell and will at least help freshen up any room.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - bracelet

Hamsa Bracelet - Value $39

This is a really pretty bracelet, and I can't wait to break it out the next time my Mom wears her evil eye necklace. I just wish there was information about what types of stones and crystals these are!

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - snuffer

Hamsa Candle Snuffer - Value $12

With all the candles I've received in subscription boxes, you would think I would already have a candle snuffer, but no! This is my fist! It's really pretty, too.

Sapphire Soul Subscription Box Review October 2015 - window-decor

Hamsa / Talisman Window Hang - $7

I think this was my favorite item in the whole package! It's really beautiful, and the metal / blue makes it perfect for the north-facing window in my bedroom. I love it!

The Verdict: I definitely feel well-armed to protect myself against negative or evil energy thanks to Sapphire Soul this month! The cost of this package including shipping was $61.50 with shipping, and the listed value of the items comes to nearly $100, so that's fabulous! It certainly felt like a lot, and I think any practitioner of New Age spirituality would absolutely love this subscription!

When I clicked on the link provided in the review, it shows that you can also use the code “REVIEWLOVE” for 20% off. I checked and it can be applied to just one month.

The bracelet is beautiful. The gems look like quartz and labradorite to me. Or maybe moonstone. I’m pretty sure the lighter stones are rutilated quartz, and the darker stones are labradorite.

Omg, I want this subscription so bad! Never heard of it until now. I love that they have all of the subscription options, but I can’t decide which one to order. So it looks like the Large box is $20 more than the Original box and it just had one jewelry item in additional to the original box. I wonder which item it is, I’m guessing the bracelet?

I’m interested in the chakra set but the website says that subscription started in August and goes in order, so not sure how that would work out.

Hey there Vanessa! The chakra crate we’ve recently switched up, so everyone moving forward will start at chakra 1. And the pre-pay option is for the first 6 and you receive the 7th free 😉
