RITUALS Ginkgo’s Secret Hand Balm - FULL SIZE! Value $17

Yay - we're already over the cost of the box with this item! This is the ideal hand cream formula for me - it's a thick cream, but it absorbs quickly, and leaves your skin moisturized but not greasy. I like the scent too!

allure-beauty-box-oct-2015-serum

Red Flower Lymphatic Phytopower Sea Cleanser and Masque - 32.5 ml Value $5.25

This works as both a cleanser and a 5-minute mask. (I love a quick mask!). So far I've only used it as a cleanser, but I like it. The formula is gentle and the scent is very light. The only issue I have with this sample is that it isn't very easy to get the product out of the container. (I resorted to using a q-tip to get it out!)

Jouer Daily Clarifying Treatment Oil - 3 ml Value $4.80

I've sampled this serum before and I really like it. The formula is fragrance and paraben free too. (Subscribers will receive either the Clarifying Treatment Oil or the Repair Treatment Oil).

allure-beauty-box-oct-2015-cargo

Cargo Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Flint - FULL SIZE! Value $16

(Subscribers will receive one of the following four shades: Flint, Pasadena, Oz or Greenbay). I feel like I lucked out on my box this month - this is my favorite shade out of the four options. Flint is a matte gray/brown, and perfect for a smokey eye look. (I've swatched it in the last photo).

Bumble and Bumble BB. All Style - .5 oz Value $3

This Bumble and Bumble styling cream is designed to help with heat-styled hair and also fight frizz. The formula is really lightweight and the scent is addictive!

allure-beauty-box-oct-2015-lipstick

Kryolan Lipstick Matt in Aurora, Eos and Nike - Sampler - Value?

These shades are SUPER pigmented and bold! The formula is matte, and the colors have some serious staying power too. Swatched below:

allure-beauty-box-oct-2015-swatch

Verdict: This box has a value of about $46. (Not counting the lipstick sampler). I think that's great for a $15 beauty box, especially since two of the items were full size! I'll use everything in this box with the exception of the lipstick (it's a little too bold a look for me), but at least it was just a sample pack!

Today on Youtube I came across a spoiler for the November box, that it will have a Mally lipgloss sample! In this video after the October unboxing she shows a sneak peak of the Mally lipglosses in different colors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2k5QrzD9ic Looks good! I’ve never tried the lipgloss before.

This is one of my absolute favorite sub boxes. The value always seems to be great and the products are actual things I would use. I will say that I didn’t realize how much of a problem shipping is with these sub boxes. I have received my October Allure box but I’m still waiting for my September box. I never received confirmation but my card was charged. Allure seems to be very helpful with this reissuing a new box. The only problem they have reissued this box twice and I still have yet to receive. It’s great when you get them but not so great when you are waiting. I also received the eye shadow in Oz and the color is not bad especially blended well with something else. I am African American mixed with Caucasian so my skin is light and this color looks great. I’ve gotten lots of complements. So don’t knock it until you try it ladies.

I finally got my box today (there was a snafu with my credit card), and while I was expecting to hate the eye shadow based on the comments I read here, I got the green which looks really soft and will look good with my brown eyes! I would’ve been happy with the pink or the green so I’m glad I got the green. This box has been so much better since Allure took over.

My Allure box was just shipped out yesterday. I was probably one of the last to sign up, because I signed up Sept. 30, after I saw the awesome box. I deserved to get mine last, so I’m not really complaining, but this is unusually late in the month for them (or, later than Beauty Bar used to send). Maybe they had many people order it because, like me, they liked the looks of the box.

I ordered this box (my first Allure Beauty Box) after seeing the full spoilers on MSA and I’m so glad I did! Great box this month. I like the Red Flower cleanser/mask, other than the packaging. Storing it upside down does help. The clarifying oil is great; I have really oily, sometimes acneic skin but it still need some moisture, so I’m glad I got a product that does both. I was kind of disappointed that I got Oz (the yellow shade) for the eye shadow, but it actually doesn’t look too bad. If you have blue (like me) or brown eyes, I would give it a try before tossing it. (I can see where it might not look so great with green eyes.) The Bumble and Bumble styling cream worked pretty well. I don’t use a ton of product, so that tube should last for a bit. I haven’t tried the hand cream or lipstick yet. The cream smells great though, and the lipstick shades are pretty :).

Well, that was longer than I thought, so TL;DR: box is great, store the Red Flower upside down, yellow eyeshadow is worth a try.

I got the horrifying yellow eye shadow. If I wear it, I will absolutely look like I have hepatitis.

But I the and acne treatment oil and I love Rituals, so it’s all good.

Eh, this box was a miss for me. I don’t like hand creams, I hate that lipstick and I received the Flint shade in Cargo. I like a bright, bold eye…

With only boys in my house I’m getting products I can’t wear (no pierced ears) or use…how do people gift their items to family members? (Do you wrap it up for birthdays and Christmas?) Do the family members know you get subscription boxes?

I loved everything except the eyeshadow. Its too light for my dark skin. I tried to use the coupon code on Jouer and it said it wasnt valid.

I have 2 grown daughters that live in different states. They know I get boxes (they each get a few themselves). What I do is keep those products that I’m going to give to them in a box, and whenever I have enough to send to them, I let then know that a “Mom’s Beauty Box” is on the way and send it. I don’t wait for holidays. Sometimes they know what’s in the box, sometimes not.

Thanks!
I have 2 neices that I think would love (19 and 13) some of the make-up and etc. that I have (earings, make-up bags, hair care) and I think I’ll start a box of goodies for them and they can decide or share what they like between them instead of holding off until a birthday.?

Mary Beth

My sister-in-law has a different skin tone than I do and also has concerns about her undereye area so I put all the things I don’t want on my swap list but I think at the end of the year I am going to take all the ones that deal with undereye or the BB Creams/foundations that are too dark/yellow for me and give them to her. I might give them to her thoughout the year if she lived close by. She knows I get subscription boxes.

Awesome box this month! I liked the boxes before Allure took over but now that they have the value is even better. I adore getting full size products!

I’ve been with Sample Society for a very long time. I like the recent changes that Allure made to the box. It seems they try to get a good variety of product types and brands in each box.

I liked this month’s selection. My favorites were the Jouer (I got the anti-aging version), the Kryolan, and the Red Flower. I’ve been wanting to try more of Kryolan’s brand. I’m also a lipstick addict, so this was great for me. I only wished there was a more secure way of saving the sample for later. I agree with everyone who stated that the Red Flower bottle didn’t dispense the product very well, I just have to tap the product out. I’ve been using it as a mask and it works nicely! I wouldn’t mind buying the full size if I didn’t already have tons of masks to go through.

I recieved the Pasadena color for my eyeshadow. Though it is pretty, I like very wild eyeshadow colors. I’m sure I can swap it with someone who will love it.

Could I swap with you if I get green or yellow? I might get mine today.

It’s interesting reading all these comments about the October box when I’m still cooling my heels waiting for mine!! Allure is blaming the post office and the post office is blaming them as the last scan was on October 5th but no one knows as of today October 7th where it it is!! However if I haven’t received it by Tuesday October 13 I should let them know, then they’ll reissue another box. To say I’m over this is an understatement hence Allure Beauty Bix cancelled!! Oh and by the way this is the second screw up in 3 months.

My mailman lost my box or delivered it to the wrong address. : ( The post office has closed the claim and won’t reimburse me unless the package was insured. Fortunately Allure is sending me another box. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Nice to see a box rebound. The last few Allure boxes have looked great. When (and if) I get through my current mountain of samples, I will definitely consider re-subscribing. That lipstick palette looks like it would be great to use as pigment when making homemade tinted lip balm — if anyone is into that kind of thing. Just a thought. 🙂

I think Allure has been doing a really good job since they took over, so I’m inclined to keep the sub for the time being. I just remember that the box did great for only a few months after the last rebranding, so I’m feeling cautious about it.

Anyone know if there is a promo that is valid ?? I tried 5foryou and seems to be expired

I got the yellow eye shadow, which is the one color I can’t use. And I got the oil for acne, while I would have much preferred the anti-aging oil. At 57, I don’t get acne, but I am aging. Oh well, I’ll donate the eye shadow and my daughter who still occasionally breaks out will get the oil. Other than that, I like everything in the box. I agree the cleanser/mask is difficult to get out of the bottle, but I store it upside down and that makes it a little easier. I like the lipstick colors and the hand lotion. I never use heat on my hair, so that same daughter will also get the styling stuff. I guess she’s the one who really makes out with this month’s box!

I was kind of not into this month and I think the main reason is I got the ugly yellow eyeshadow. I’m pretty sure I already have that same color, or one very much like it, from a box last year. I haven’t touched that one because it is totally the wrong color for my skin, and I won’t touch this one either. (I can wear pretty much any color except for yellow…) I don’t blow-dry or heat-style my hair, so that product is kind of not useful to me. And oils are not really compatible with my skin.

Whenever there are variations, I always receive the one I least want (pink nail polish, etc.). I mean like time after time after time. I am considering quitting.

If you subbed to BeautyFix when it was Blush, you probably got the Cargo shadow in Oz (warm golden yellow). I’m with you – I totally didn’t think it was a color I could wear and immediately put it up for swap when I got it in Blush. Then a few weeks ago I was out with a friend and commented on her gorgeous eyeshadow and wanted to know what it was so I could buy some. She just laughed and said I already had it – it was Oz from her Blush bag! I couldn’t believe it! It wasn’t yellow at all, and just went on like this sheer warm glow that lit up her face!

Unfortunately, I already swapped my shadow long before, and I dropped this box a few months back. Like you, I usually have major box envy when it comes to variations, but this is a first – box envy for my own box that I traded away! I definitely suggest swatching it at a store that carries Cargo so you can see if it works for you. And if not, I’m interested! 🙂

This is always my favorite box. I got the pink eyeshadow, which I didn’t love as a shadow but worked very well as a blush. I love the lotion, Jouer products are always great, the cleanser was great (once you got it out of the bottle), and I’m looking forward to trying the lip colors but I’ll need to get a lip brush in order to apply them.

Anyone know if I order it now if I’ll get this months box?

I think I’ve read that you have until the 8th to order the month’s box. Otherwise you will have to wait for next month.

Thank you! Guess I got to move it!!

Fingers crossed for that Cargo eyeshadow in Pasadena. Very pretty color!!! Allures boxes have been awesome!

I have really enjoyed the Allure boxes lately, and this one is no exception. I didn’t care for the GREEN eye shadow however, but I can give it away so no biggie. I liked the hand cream, and I had no problem getting the cleanser out of the bottle at all. I used it as a mask in the shower and loved it. I have received this from another sub and was almost out, so happy to get a new one! I think the B&B blowout lotion was their only product I haven’t received in another sub, but I really liked it, did a great job. I have a large bottle of the Jouer oil that I haven’t finished, but nice to have a travel size now! Overall very happy with this box!

This is one of my favorite boxes! I’m always happy with the value and brands/products offered. But I got the eyeshadow in Oz, which is an undesirable shade for me (Flint is really the only one I would have wanted). Not sure if anyone really wants yellow or green eyeshadow? Maybe I just need to step out of my comfort zone 🙂

I’m in love with this month’s box. Absolutely in love with it. I am not sure I will be able to use any of the colors for Cargo but hey, I can gift it or mix with another color. They really did a great job this month. Also, I am a lipstick junkie and can really rock a bold color so again, very pleased. Nice job Allure.

Got the box the other day and have yet to try everything but I LOVE the hand cream! I pretty much love anything from Rituals. Allure BB is one of my top favorite boxes – the value is always wonderful for just $15!! I, too, had to use a Qtip for the Red Flower product but loved it. Put it on my dry face before I got into the shower (as a ‘mask’) let it sit for a few moments then rubbed in a circular motion with hands and then washed off. Face felt great after my shower!
