klover-box-august-2015-super-detox

Angel Face Botanicals Super Detox Deep Pore Facial Cleanser - 2.3 oz Value $13

This is a charcoal creamy cleanser. It doesn't really lather that much, but I thought it did a great job of cleansing my skin without drying it out. (Smells great too!)

MyChelle Wrinkle Spot Treatment - FULL SIZE! Value $38.50

Yay for full-size items! I like the MyChelle line a lot, and this product is new to me. The formula is super lightweight (it has a rollerball application), and I love the herbal scent.

klover-box-august-2015-soap

Jacq's Organics Fancy Detox Soap Bar - 3 oz Value $6

I feel like I'm saying this too much in the review - but I love the scent of this soap too! It's a mix of clove, orange, patchouli, and vanilla.

klover-box-august-2015-smart-ash

Smart Ash Sample - Value $3

I've received this in subscription boxes before, and I think I'm too conditioned from using regular toothpaste to make the transition. (I have the same struggle with non-lathering shampoos).

It does get great reviews though...

klover-box-august-2015-tea

Traditional Medicinals EveryDay Detox Lemon Tea and Organic Roasted Dandelion Root Tea - Samples

I drink several cups of tea a day, so tea samples are always a welcome addition to subscriptions boxes. (I may be in the minority on that opinion, though).

Verdict: This box has a value of about $61. I think that's a good value for the $25 a month cost, and I love that the wrinkle spot treatment is full-size. (One of my subscription box pet peeves in when there isn't enough of a sample to see if it is a good product for you). And I think Kloverbox did a great job with the detox theme too!

An observation, not to hurt feelings or anything. hopefully taken in the right spirit.
i cant help but observe this. I originally belong to rural india where we traditionally used ash, mostly made of burning cow dung cakes, and salt, to clean our teeth and our brush would be a tender stem of “neem”(google it) and tounge cleaner would be the neem leaf or taking out a thin strip off the stem.
then we had invasions, and british ruled us and they had whole world laughing at our raw sugar and that we were un hygenic that we do not brush our teeth with tooth paste.
turn the century, the colgate company runs an ad campaign saying they have salt in their toothpaste and the sub boxes sells the same ash, under some fancy name and the west buys it. nevertheless, they are very environmentally friendly.
PS: the ash made from cowdung cakes while chanting from “vedas” is extremely holy for us.

This no couldn’t have come at a better time.. I arrived home from a trip after being on a plane for almost 22 hours & was in need of major detoxing- love it!

OMG, me too – 27 hours of traveling, and came home to this. The sad part is, my traveling was only domestic on a supposedly direct flight. Whomp whomp. I adore the Angel Face Botanicals soap we got in January (?) from Kloverbox and have been wanting to try this soap too. So glad it was included. Really fun, well-curated box. Bummed I had to cancel this box after my 6 month Black Friday deal was over. I’m cutting back on spending and have limited myself to the things I already prepaid for + GlobeIn, because it’s my favorite.

I was really excited about this box, too. I’ve wanted to try Smart Ash for so long, and was able to use it without making a mess. I just wish they would offer a paste option for those of us who prefer an easier application.

I’ve been using Angel Face’s gel foaming Kissed cleanser, and just love it. I was exited to try their charcoal variety, but I prefer Kissed (and it’s less messy, too).

The MyChelle wrinkle treatment is just fabulous, and so easy to apply! I’m always excited to get their products in my boxes.

Unfortunately, the soap permanently stained my beige washcloths, so I won’t be repurchasing that item. And I haven’t tried the tea yet, since I prefer tea during cooler months. But I’m anxiously awaiting the first Fall day to enjoy a cup.

Not a box for me with the exception of the soap. Just not a theme I like this month.

…I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again – I’d totally buy another Klover+MSA LE box. Still using and liking the products from the last one.

I thought this was a really nicely put together box – I like it when boxes have themes!

I did manage to spill the smart ash all over my bathroom despite being careful, and that was a mess! But I’m a total klutz. I liked it the times I used it before the big spill.

This was my last month of a six month subscription and I’m taking a little break to save a little $ and because I’m currently on total product overload. But this is one of my favorite subscriptions (actually, maybe my top fav) so I’ll sign back up in a couple of months for sure.

I feel the same way about Kloverbox. It’s my last box, too. 🙂

I was VERY excited to get the Smart Ash in this box, as I had run out of a sample I had gotten months earlier and tried a Japanese ash toothpaste and didn’t like the taste.

Liz, Ragan…it’s not as bad you might think. Yes, it can be messy, but the effect it has on your teeth is great. And it’s really good at getting that morning taste out of your mouth without leaving you too minty to drink orange juice…haha. I was scared to try it at first, too. And I made a mess with it the first time because I had seen no warnings. But now it’s a pretty much mess-free process.

I can’t wait to resub! The tea looks interesting, I’d love that beautiful soap bar, and want to try the roller ball wrinkle treatment. I have the Smart Ash, but only used it a few times. It is a mess, but I plan to use it up. I’m an avid coffee/tea drinker so I certainly could use the whitening help. Oh Kloverbox, I miss you.

Can I still buy this?

Caitlyn-

They have this one and the July box for sale right now for “end of summer sale” – I just bought one!

on a side note, I’m a little annoyed bc right after I read Liz’s review, I emailed Kloverbox to see if I could get this box and didn’t receive a response back either way. but at least I was able to get the box now.

Thank you guys!

Caitlyn,
Go to the website and email her. You never know! If she says no, you didn’t lose anything!

I don’t think so. Their site says that orders placed during the current month will get the box for the next month. So if you order any time in September, the first box you get will be October’s.

That Detox Cleanser has been the best thing for my face. I have such a hard time finding something that works well without drying or irritating my skin and I am officially in love! I’ve been stalking the swap boards for it and am using my code to purchase a full size version 🙂

I drink a lot of tea, too.

The Smart Ash from the Vegan Cuts beauty box is still next to my sink — I keep telling myself I’ll try it one day. But I’m afraid of making a mess.

Reply ButtonReply

Rowsdower

It does make a mess, but it doesn’t stain the sink or counter tops. I couldn’t get it to rinse out of my toothbrush, but once I brushed with my regular toothpaste again, it went away.
