Julep Maven Review & Free Box Code – September 2015

I just realized today that my Julep box never arrived so I looked up the tracking online and it says it was delivered on 9/3. I called the Julep Customer Service number and they were so helpful. They didn’t question me at all, just said that they would be shipping out another box at no charge. I also asked if the free polish would be included and they said yes. So for those of you that didn’t get it, I would try calling in vs. emailing. Every time I’ve called in they’ve been so helpful!

I got three different lipstick shades this month, but didn’t really feel like any of them looked the same as on the site. For example, I thought Lady in Red would be a deep, cool red – but it definitely leans warm. I did love all the polish colors I got though, and my free Julep was included.

I think last month was better, at least in terms of the new beauty products – I adore all the new eyeshadow shades, and the blush sticks are so pretty!

I too did NOT get the bonus color in my September box and i also claimed it when i got my email. I only took this month’s box to get the free polish. I mean they don’t give away free polishes all the time. I emailed them about it but I’m not not really expecting anything if they are sold out of the color. Seriously feeling jipped when some of you guys got 2 bonus polishes.

I formally claimed the bonus. I didn’t get a duplicate like you did, but my freebie polish for getting 3 add-ons was almost the same color as the bonus. At first I thought they were the same. Kind of disappointed, as I never do add-ons, but splurged this time for my birthday. Oh well, the best laid plans …

I think a sort of fog takes over my brain when it rolls around to the monthly Julep choice. I do believe I swore off purple nail polish some time ago but low and behold, I just received a box of 4 purple polishes (one free) and Cassandra. I didn’t get the lipstick because I have to much lipstick???…yeah 100+colors of julep…surely don’t get a lipstick!!

Got my box last week. Everything was fine. The two polish colors I selected, the lipstick color I selected, and only one bottle of the special extra (which I did claim via email).

I ordered the mystery box and added a polish with the coupon. I got 11 polishes all together, 9 different and the other two were the same as ones in the box. Guess ill be giving those to my mom.

So I got only one of the julep special color, I also got Cassandra and realized when it arrived it’s an old shade I already own

Do you have to buy first and then the first month is free?

That is messed up about the polish…I got a notice about the delayed shipping, and usually they offer something when this happens, at least in my experience. But no…nothing. And I might not get my bonus polish!

FYI – I use what I’ve come to call my “lipstick shade saver” over any lipstick color that doesn’t work for me. It’s a crayon-type lip color in an almost black (it doesn’t apply as black though). I forget the actual name but it’s designed to layer over other colors to make it more usable to the wearer. I’m yet to get a lipstick shade that can’t be saved using it. It even worked with the fluorescent pink Stila lipstain from Birchbox last month and made it totally wearable, even for me and I’m 39!

OMG, I have so many Julep polishes right now. Going to have to put my sub on hold for a couple of months. But, can’t resist a good coupon. 🙂

I got two of the free shades too! But I am missing one of my add-ons, so I assumed the polish was a mistake instead of my lipstick add-on. I’m on hold on the phone now to fix the issue.

I didn’t even get my free bonus polish in my september box… When I called customer service they were “out of stock” since they decided to sell the rest so I can’t get it all all :'(
That was messed up since I claimed the polish in the email too.
So no to answer your question. Those that got 2 weren’t the ones that claimed it via email. Some of us didn’t even get 1. I call it false advertising.

I didn’t get an extra polish. Did you notice the Julep color is the same as the box? Loved the magnetic lipstick case.

I’m wearing Cassandra right now and it is gorgeous. I got last call for the lipstick – I plan to get all their colors!
