Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box Review - 3

Earlier this month, Vegan Cuts offered the Men’s Grooming Box at a discount and we jumped on the short lived sale. This box was originally offered a few weeks before Father’s Day.

“Curated for busy, on-the-go gentlemen, this box includes the essentials that guys need to stay fresh and look sharp. Inside you'll find everything from face wash to deodorant, shaving cream to hair products and a few surprises too!”

Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box Review - 4

This box didn’t come with an insert listing all the products.  Included were two coupons, but they both expired earlier this year.

Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box Review - 5

Ursa Major Stellar Shaving Cream 2 oz - Value: $9.50

Ursa Major Face Balm Sample - Value: $2.00

Ursa Major Face Wash Sample - Value: $2.00

John really likes this shave cream. It smells really good too!  He took it on his business trip last week, but hasn’t touched the other too.  I’m tempted to steal the face balm so I can see if it smells as good.  Both the Face Balm and Face Wash do not have sizes listed but the back says that they are good for 3-4 uses.

Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box Review - 6

Aubrey Organics Men's Stock After Shave Balm Full Size 4 oz - Value: $11.50

Neither of us are crazy about this scent.  I’ve tried a conditioner from Aubrey before and felt the same way about it.  I just don’t think Aubrey is our brand.  Can’t say we didn’t try, though.  If John can’t get past the scent, which should be notes of Cedar, Sandalwood and Bergamot, I’ll give it shot on my legs post shave.

Thrive Face Wash Full Size 3.38 oz - Value: $9.99

OMG, this smells so good. I was all up in John’s face. This needs to be a cologne or a bath wash, it’s a delicious man in a bottle. Oh, and John said it made his face feel good too.

nyl Foaming Castile Hand Soap 1.5 oz - Value: $8.00

I stole this for myself. I hate the soap in our bathrooms at work. It makes my hands itch. I have to put lotion on right away. So, I going to attempt to either carry this around in my purse aka duffle bag or leave it on my work desk. It smells like lemon candy and has a thick foam. One pump is all you need.

Preserve Triple Razor System Handle & 2 Blades Full Size - Value: $8.50

John also stowed this away for his trip, he reported back that it worked great and the grip was nice too. I also wanted to note that the case is really nice too.  If he doesn’t get any more of these razors, I’m sure he’ll use the case again for his frequent trips.

Verb Shampoo .65 oz - Value: $1.00

Verb Conditioner .65 oz - Value: $1.00

One word, “Tiny”. Seriously, John brings back hotel hair care samples bigger than this.  He hasn’t touched them. Maybe I’ll try it on Abigail if he doesn’t use it? But really, we know this is not enough product for the curly headed folks in this house.  I alone can use 2-4 oz in detangling alone. Anyway, it’s made with quinoa and it’s sulfate and paraben free.

Brickell Men's Products Face Moisturizer 1 oz - Value: $10.00

Worth every penny.  John loves this and is so sad about the price...so am I. Full Size runs for $35.00 and the Half Size is $20.00!  I’ve already joined their newsletter. Hopefully, they run specials around the holidays.

Fanciful Fox Beard Oil Full Size 2 oz - Value: $17.00

I know I keep saying every smells really good, this does too. John has a nice beard growing now, and this has really made a difference in the texture. It’s so soft now.

Bare Bones Body Care Deodorant Full Size 2 oz - Value: $8.00

John’s on the fence with his one.  He’s working through it but doesn’t know how he feels about it yet.  I’ve tried to get him to use the Honest Company deodorants, but he’s not loving the scents.  This one doesn’t have much of a scent at all and I think that’s why he’s giving it a real try.  Got to love him for trying!

Jonathan Product - Green Rootine Pure Paste 1.7 oz - Value: $12.00

This product is discontinued.  John didn’t really like it. He says that it didn’t manipulate his flyaways like he wanted.  Abigail has the thinnest hair strands on the planet, so I’m going to give it to her. It’s also free of parabens and synthetic dyes.

Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box Review - 13

Sage & Arrow Coffee Scrub 2 oz - Value: $12.50

First of all, let me say, this should have been in a sealed container and plastic bag.  I almost ruined my pretty background with this scrub.  Not cool.  Anyway, a scrub!! I love scrubs. I don’t care if John wants this or not, I’m using it too!  It’s very strong coffee scent and very gritty.  I’m a little nervous about using it in the shower because we have a tiled shower floor and the last charcoal scrub I had made a mess.  I might just put this off to the side of our tub and scrub up (or down) right before I get out.  It says you can use this on your face and body, but I feel the scent is a bit too strong for my face.

Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box Review - 14

Verdict: This box has a retail value around $113.00!  5 of the 14 items were full sized and 5 remaining items were at least an ounce or more.  John (and I) were overly impressed with a number of the scents and the overall quality of these vegan products.  I’ve been encouraging John to step out of his “cruelty” world and to try some new brands.  Hopefully, this box will help him realize that there is a whole world of products outside of the Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble circles that we all grew up loving.

What did you think of the Vegan Cuts Men's Grooming Box?
