Messy Box is a new scrapbooking subscription from A Beautiful Mess. I love my Happy Mail subscription, so I wanted to try this one out too. I have never scrapbooked, but I love their designs so much I figured I could use the items for something else if I didn’t take it up! (They also sell exclusive scrapbook books and pages to go along with the sizes of items in this kit).
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Messy Box
The Cost: $24.99 ($19.99 a box with an annual subscription)
The Products: Each box is filled with items to scrapbook with including paper and cards, stickers, embellishments, and special items. Each month is color-coordinated and comes with a different technique theme.

4 9×12 papers
This box comes with 4 large sheets (one-sided), and the one on the right below has gold metallic as well:

1 9/12 Gold transparent sheet
The gold stripe can be layered over any the papers or a photo, etc. I'm absolutely loving the marbling and colors this month - I think I will be framing a few of these sheets!

Set of journal cards (6 3×4″ 6 4×6″ and 12 3×3″)
These cards are all reversible – so you have a lot of options to pick from. Here are the larger sizes:

Oversized white alphas
I recommend checking out how A Beautiful Mess used the scrapbook materials this month. In some cases they kept the letters white, and in other pages they painted them, added design, etc.

Mini date roller stamp
Lips Stickers
This date roller stamp is a useful addition, and I love the stickers - they have the same feel to me as dried puffy paint!
Verdict: Based on the comments from some scrapbooking readers on previous Messy Box reviews, I’d say this box is worth the $25 a month cost if you’re excited about exclusive prints and designs from A Beautiful Mess. If you’re looking purely for scrapbooking materials, there are likely cheaper options.
Personally I love their prints and creative designs, so I enjoy this subscription box! (I've been framing pages more than I've been scrapbooking though!).
