Bonus Mystery Sample Trio with $50+ Birchbox Shop Purchase!

I got my complete order today with both mystery sample packs, and they were both great. Only one foil out of five samples. Hope others had the same luck!

I too added both mystery samples. I just received my shipping confirmation email. I received one where they removed the trio then I received a second email an hour later saying the trio will ship separately from my order. I hope this mean everyone who added both will get both!

You can NOT get the trio sample and the regular mystery. I ordered this under 2 accounts, had both sample packs added, had them show up in the email confirmation for both accounts, and then the trio was taken off – seen in the shipping email.

FYI-you cannot get both mystery subscription packs. I was told in an email from birchbox customer service that since I got the regular mystery pack I cannot get the other one as well. I’m not sure if CS is giving me incorrect information or if this post is incorrect. Did anyone successfully get both packs?

I went for it, even though my last several mystery packs have been all foils. Fingers crossed for good surprises this round!

I got the CEW Mass Appeal box, a Baggu, a Vasanti scrub, a mini pair of Tweezerman tweezers, the two mystery packs, my anniversary keychain, cashed in $40 in points, used a 20% coupon code, and came out at $22. Sometimes Birchbox just blows me away!

Placed a $58 order last night using all my points then got this email this morning so I called CS and they were nice enough to send me one anyway! Honestly, the customer service of Birchbox is why I will never leave!

Liz is right and I’m guessing too many people were feeling uneasy about not seeing the Mystery Sample Trio in the cart; Birchbox just sent an email stating “**To qualify for the free Mystery Sample Trio, you must place an order totaling $50 or greater of full-size product(s) on Birchbox.com; subscription orders do not qualify for this offer. The price of the trio will reduce to $0 once added to your cart on qualifying orders. One Mystery Sample Trio per customer. Offer available only while supplies last. In order to return any item in your order, you must also return the gift.” I’m sure Birchbox(their Customer Service is awesome) will honor the Mystery Sample Trio offer for orders over $50 regardless of how you place your order(whether you add the Mystery Sample Trio to the cart or not,) as long as supplies last.

I added the trio to my cart, applied 20% off and it took off the $15, and the discount. The trio mystery pack showed up in my cart and in my order confirmation. Although, I couldn’t add the trio from the app.

my subtotal was $70.95 but after my points and 20% discount it was $38. will I get the mystery sample trio?

Random question: Does anyone know when (if ever) we’re getting that full sized eyeliner they were supposed to put in a previous box?

I ordered how the post said to (didn’t add it to my cart), but now I’m pretty sure that’s not correct. If you add a product that costs over $50, and actually add the sample trio pack it will take off the $15.

Where did the instructions that you didn’t have to add it to your cart come from?

well, now I feel like a fool.. Was told I had $30 in points, so I purchased a blinc mascara through the app. They added $5 shipping to that. I didn’t add anything free or purchase anything else to meet thresholds for free stuff bc I thought I was using my points. Then after the purchase was complete, I realized my points didn’t apply and I paid $31 plus tax for that one mascara I could have just picked up at Sephora. Fail

$50 before discounts or after?

Oh man it makes me really nervous not adding it to the cart and it not showing up in the cart via coupon code! But I have a say yes code for 20% off of $50 that I haven’t used because I always try to spend $35, lol, so I am going to give it a shot! Thanks for the heads up Liz!

Not entirely sure how this works — I assumed you had to add it to the cart like a regular mystery pack. When I did, it charges me $15 even though I have more than $50 in my cart.
