Beauty DNA Subscription Box Review – August 2015 3Lab

3Lab Perfect Cleansing Foam - Value $55

I like this cleanser a lot! It has a subtle sweet citrus scent, the foaming cleanser is very gentle, and it has vitamin E beads that exfoliate and moisturize. And it left my skin feeling clean and not dry at all!

I'm not sure I love it enough to spend $55 on a cleanser in the future, but I may get hooked!

Verdict: I'm happy with my item this month. I've had higher value boxes, but this is still $30 over what I paid, so no complaints from me!

There’s currently a deal on Gilt City, plus a coupon for 20% off, making a 4 month sub $11.50 a month. I’m trying it out, because while reviews seem to be mixed, I’m okay with the price point.

Someone gave me their leftover months on her voucher 🙂 I received my August box in September. It does say August on the report. I received the Mybody myHEro Ultra Rich Anti-Aging Growth Factor Cream as the main item. I also receive the keratherapy spray as a bonus. You can click on my name to see pictures if you want.

I just received my 1st BeautyDNA box. They pretty much matched my profile which is a plus. But the product that I received is just $32 on Amazon and $34 on HSN. I guess I was just hoping to try a higher end product since the regular sub price is $25. The bright side is that if I like how it works on me, it won’t cost me an arm & a leg. 🙂

This was the product I was initially matched with, but the fragrance bothered me a lot. I don’t think it is citrus so much as lemon cake. The product is lovely as far as texture and how my skin felt, but I found the scent kind of nails on chalkboardy. I emailed them and they rematched me (an excellent eye cream) with super fast shipping. Beautydna is wonderful!

I’ve received 3 boxes from BeautyDNA so far. Each product contains multiple parabens, and I can’t use them. Sigh…

On your profile/survey you can put that you don’t want parabens and other chemicals, I subbed for about 4 months and never received any “dirty” products. You just need o put it in your questionnaire

I can’t say enough good things about this sub. I also signed up with the ruelala deal and purchased another from ideal. This month was my favorite: L’occitaine divine youth oil RV $106 and the keratherapy spray. They really do listen to your customized profile! I think I paid $15/box with the deal. My previous months have been great too so I’ll probably keep subbing at this rate. I dropped glossybox for this; way more worth it.

I received the Dr. Brandt Laser FX Bright Serum (RV: $78) and my bonus product for the RueLaLa deal was a hair product, Keratherapy Rapid Rescue (Amazon: $14). Superb deal!

I received my 3rd match from the ruelala deal. So far I have received a moisturizing serum which I am super excited to have for winter, a facial moisturizer that burns like crazy, and this month, a silicone primer which just makes a mess with the sunscreen and tinted moisturizer that I wear. Honestly, my favorite thing so far is the face cleanser which wasn’t even based on my profile. I really, really liked the idea of this box, and even though I totally see how the products I received were matched with my profile, they just seem to miss the mark. Maybe my profile isn’t filled out correctly, or maybe I’m too picky. Either way, glad I tried it but won’t be continuing this one.

My second month from the RueLaLa deal included a $90 retail value serum and a bonus full-size cleanser! I was so happy with the RV and how nicely they matched my preferences.

So far I’m really happy with my Beauty DNA matches. I’ve subscribed for 3 months now (thanks to the great Rue La La deal). I really appreciate the fact that so far I’ve been sent 3 items from different “categories”. First month was a foaming face wash, second was a peel and then I just got a great face cream yesterday. And on top of that, I’ve gotten the bonus items too, I’m loving the hair stuff that came this month, I can’t remember the name, but I used it this morning and my hair is really soft.
My items have ranged in price from $35-$75 I think, which isn’t the highest value I’ve seen, but I’m still extremely happy with all of the products so far.
Thanks Liz for the reviews – this isn’t something I would have seen myself subscribing to if it hadn’t been for your reviews.

My first package is shipping soon. I got the Rue La La deal so it’s less of a risk. Based on your reviews I don’t think I can lose.
