Target Back to College Honor Roll Beauty Box Review Burts Bees

Burt’s Bees White Tea Facial Wipes (10 count) - Value $2.99

I've received these before and I love them! They're gentle and smell great. (Plus I always need more makeup removal wipes!)

Target Back to College Honor Roll Beauty Box Review Goody

Bathery Delicate Pouf - Value $1.99

Goody Ouchless Elastics (3) - Value $1?

These are both great basics to have on hand. Nothing too exciting, but very useful!

Target Back to College Honor Roll Beauty Box Review Olay

CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer - FULL SIZE! Value $12

Yay for full sized makeup in a $5 box! (I still can't get over the value in these Target Beauty Boxes!) I like this primer. The formula leaves a very smooth base for foundation. I've been wearing it since this morning, and so far so good!

Olay White Strawberry Body Wash - 3 oz Value $1

I like the size of this sample, but the scent isn't a favorite for me. It will go in the donate pile!

Target Back to College Honor Roll Beauty Box Review NYX

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume in Shower Treatment – 1 oz Value $2.25

This John Frieda Luxurious Volume line is designed to give you semi-permanent volume for multiple washes. I have a few of these samples thanks to subscription boxes, and I keep forgetting to try them. If you've tried this shower treatment and recommend it, let us know!

NYX Butter Gloss Strawberry Parfait - FULL SIZE! Value $5

I've sampled this Butter Gloss before and I really like it. The formula has a sweet sugar cookie flavor, and it adds a good amount of sheer color, with a lot of shine too. (And almost no stickiness!) Swatched below:

Target Back to College Honor Roll Beauty Box Review Swatch

Verdict: This box has a value of about $26.25 - I think that's amazing for a $5 box. (Especially when I factor in the $3 coupon for future Target Beauty purchases!) I'll use everything besides the body wash too. Now if only Target would just set up a regular monthly beauty box subscription!

Did you get the Target Honor Roll Beauty Box? What do you think of it?

I was at their site and ready to order only 20 minutes after these went live and this box was already gone. So sad. I would have used every single item. Although, I did get the other one they had at the same time. Good on you though! This was a really nice selection. 🙂

I ordered two boxes and one was missing the John Frieda 7 day volume. I’m glad it wasn’t one of the items that I really wanted that went missing! Target issued me a $1 electronic gift card for the missing item.

My pouf was blue. I am a bit jealous of your purple one.

I missed out on this one. I was getting emails from this site and I would get when these were available, but all of a sudden I no longer get any kind of emails from here, not sure why they stopped.

I just got my box today and I love everything in it!!! Wish I had accidentally ordered four, Jennifer!

I have been waiting for one to come out and they both looked so great and I planned on purchasing both. I had them in my cart, went to check out, and no shipping to Alaska 🙁 We are part of the USA as well! 🙁 🙁

Is it weird that one of my favorite things about the box is the actual box? It’s such a great size – it will be perfect for storing things in my bureau.

Alas, my other box was delivered Monday and was stolen from my mailbox along with a swap package for an item that is no longer available. I hate my neighborhood sometimes.

I feel your pain! I had to couch up $100 for a locking mailbox a couple of years ago after I had almost a dozen Netflix DVDs stolen (it took me awhile to realize they weren’t getting lost in the mail). I filed a report with the USPS and the local Sheriff….and, neither the USPS nor the sheriff’s office did a thing. Spending $100 out of my pocket was pretty much the cheapest solution, as a PO box costs a small fortune now 🙁

Glad I am not the only one that loves the boxes. I have a collection of Target and Allure Beauty boxes that I use for organization of all my samples.

I originally looked into subscription boxes for the boxes. They’re put to use almost immediately. The Target boxes are pretty sturdy and I’m glad this one is larger than the past ones.

I haven’t gotten this box yet, but I got the Head of the Class. Not much there I’ll use, but still a good value (you can read my review by clicking on my name).

Just got this one yesterday and wish I’d ordered two! It’s a great deal and a nice way to try out potential new staples & stock my travel bag. Would love for this to go monthly!

Got mine on Monday and love everything! Well, except for the volume treatment. Naturally curly hair + southern summer humidity = instant volume! 🙂 So I’ll pass that along to a friend. But I’m really happy with the rest. I was concerned about the lip gloss at first, thinking it might leave a bright pink color (aforementioned curly hair is red..I don’t do pink!) but it leaves just a sheer shine..I really like it! I’m in the camp with everyone else…please Target..make it a sub!
(Already got my Walmart box too…can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks about that one!)

I LOVED this box. I ordered two and got them both yesterday, and am soooo happy with the items and the value. They’re not particularly sexy or thrilling items, but I already have a couple makeup bags overflowing with stuff from boxes that are “exciting,” but I’ll use maybe once or never. What I love about the Target boxes so far is they include practical items and you can’t beat the $5 price. Shower poofs, makeup remover wipes, elastic ties, lip gloss, body wash…these are daily-use items for me, so the value overall is fantastic since I’ll actually use every item. A total win!

I got the John Frieda 7-day Volume in a previous box. I have fine thin hair and this has become my new favorite product for adding volume. It works really well and lasts through about 3 washes. Since I wash my hair every other day I can usually get a week out of only a quarter size amount of product. I highly recommend for the volume challenged.

Jennifer

If you want another one I’m happy to swap. Maybe with some other items if u think shipping isn’t worth it. I have super volume hair so I wouldn’t use it.

I’m on the waitlist for the swap site, so I can’t see your profile, but I’m interested.

I love love love these Target beauty boxes – this is the third one I’ve gotten. They always have so much great value. I’m not even much of a “beauty” person, but it’s fun to test out new products and see what would be worth buying after the fact.

This is the best box I’ve gotten in a while because I’m planning to use everything! I’ve tried the volumizing treatment and it’s amazing! I have straight flat hair and it really does add volume. The first day it’s almost too much, but on days 2 and 3 I’m ways loving my hair.

Im glad I like the box so much and that it was only $5 bc I accidentally ordered 4 instead of 2!!

Wanna ship one my way?

I love both boxes-even the boxes are fancy! Mine weren’t dented or scratched (wonder of wonders) and will make great gift boxes. I’m lucky to have a 20 and 28 year old daughter, so between the three of us, nothing in a beauty box goes to waste, even tho I’m not much of a beauty person. My youngest claimed the bath poof & primer, the eldest got the hairbands and volumizer, I wanted the face wipes, lip butter & body wash (and the box). :o)

i received mine a few days ago and love it…i’m with everyone else wishing that they would do a monthly sub!!! i think my faves are the olay body wash and the nyx butter gloss..

That Olay body wash was a free sample last Summer. Olay sent them out unsolicited in the mail and by requesting one on their website. I know that wasn’t the main attraction but still…I hate when sub boxes try to put a value on something that is not only old but was free.

I bought (and have received) both boxes, but this was my least favorite of the two. The main reason is that my bath pouf smells SO bad. It made the whole box smell like rancid Strawberry Newtons. I’m afraid I can’t use or gift it.

This box sold out too quickly for me to grab one. I did get the other option (don’t remember what they called it) and am looking forward to its arrival!

Thanks so much for posting this that morning! I purchased the Honor Box, I don’t know if they are sending shipping notification, I haven’t received anything yet.
I am amazed at the value.

Reply ButtonReply

Marcy

I recevied my shipping confirmation last week – you should check their website & under Order Status should see that info. =)

Reply ButtonReply

Jocelyn

I got shipping notification via text because my target account is set up that way. But you can login and track your order through the website to see if it’s shipped already! They ship these with newgistics and USPS parcel post and mine is coming from Illinois. If you’ve ever had birchbox, same shipping company.

Mine left on July 17 and is sitting in Illinois with an expected arrival date of July 22-27. Knowing newgistics, it’ll be next week for me. 🙂

I really wished these boxes ship to Canada! Loved everything in his box 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I got mine yesterday and love it. I won’t use everything in the box, so I’m donating a couple of the things. But I can always use makeup remover wipes and bath poufs! and I’ll be able to use the coupon for sure.
I love Target… now just waiting for them to do a regular monthly sub!

Julie

I’m so glad they didn’t cancel my orders this time around – hopefully they never make that mistake again… SO disappointing.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

They canceled my order the last time, then charged me $11 for a $10 gift card! I would have just preferred to receive my $7 back….

However, I used that gift card to get both of these boxes this time around and both have shipped and arrived! So there’s my sliver lining 🙂
