I received my Dia&Co box on Friday (11/6/15) and I’m very disappointed. It was as if my stylist didn’t listen to my requests at all. I said my style was Boden, J Crew, Ann Taylor; “Mad Men” but not a period costume. I said I wanted work jeans or boot cut pants, and instead I got fake leather leggings! I did not check off cape from the outwear section and yet I got one! They also sent a high-low, black-and-white striped dress was not the kind of dress I described wearing (sheath or a-line); it was formless, shapeless and was not flattering on my pear-shaped figure. The two shirts were closer but not good fits and also one was over the cost range I set for shirts, so not affordable! I listed several times how cost conscious I am.

Not sure what my stylist saw in my profile, or my pinterest or facebook profiles that even indicated the clothes she sent matched my style.

Perhaps my style and price range are not a good fits for Dia&Co’s services. I’ve tried to talk with Dia&Co via their email ([email protected]) but they have not responded to any of my (three!) emails; I also messaged them via facebook. I don’t want them to send me another box: I want my styling fee back since it’s clear to me my stylist didn’t take my style into account at all. I don’t feel like I should pay for a service that they didn’t actually provide.

By any chance was your stylist Laura?. I got a lot of fake leather as weil although I specifically indicated I did not want it and I am older. I agree that they don’t appear to be looking at the profiles at all.

Yes! Laura was my stylist!

As a follow up, Dia&Co did eventually get back to me. They are refunding me my styling fee and offered to send me another box after a phone consultation with a stylist. I’m going to pass at this time since this was such a frustrating experience, but I appreciate their effort. I may try them in the future; just not right now.

FYI: Dia and Co’s customer service number is: 888-510-0930.

That’s too bad 🙁 I had a great first and third boxes that I know the stylist referenced my pinterest board….the second was a total miss and just blah…I ended up sending it all back. This last one (my third) was so awesome I probably would have kept it all had I the money! I ended up keeping a super cute black and white skirt that I adore. It is pricey but I have overall liked the quality and style of my pieces and felt they are open to feedback.

I tried Dia out and I was so very excited, but it was a total miss. The price points are great, but when you see the quality of the clothing and the brands, you can see why. After seeing some of the videos online, it seems like they might cater to a much younger crowd that isn’t so interested in quality as they are in fast fashion. A friend recently told me about a new company called Plvsh that apparently is a little higher end and better quality clothing. I’ve signed up and am going to give them a try.

I signed up last week and had my phone call with my stylist and also said my box would be sent out around the first. So I’m wondering do they send a tracking email when they’ve sent it? Has anyone received theirs yet?

Jerilynn

I had my phone call last Wednesday and haven’t heard or received anything. I am just assuming that they are swamped because of the recent exposure on this blog. I also asked for some very specific things so that could be taking longer too.

Sara

My box came today! I got no shipping email or anything, I got a maxi dress, hi-lo dress, a moto jacket, harem pants and a shirt.

Sara

Thanks, I’m just curious and dying to know what they send. And yes you’re probably right that they’re overwhelmed with orders now.

I have been waiting for so long for a true plus size clothing service. I signed up and am on the waitlist for the time being- which is fine. I might also try Relish, as some have suggested.

I never liked the idea of renting clothes ( something a little EWWW about it), so Gwynnie Bee was never an option for me.

I could cry! I’m at the higher end of plus size and this is the first time I’ve ever seen something that I can try, I’m SO excited! I have to give this a go, I’m really happy they’ve started this and I never would have found it if you hadn’t have posted it. Thanks Liz!!

My first box from this company was a miss. I wrote in my profile and discussed in my phone call that I didn’t want tunics or longer shirts, and I was sent three huge, long shirts. The sizes were all over the place as well, so I was sent things that were too big and things that were too small. Even though the profile is extensive, nowhere are you asked for your actual measurements other than your height and bra size. I’ve seen a lot of big, flowy tops…not all of us want to hide under tents of fabric.

Nancy

That’s not good news. I’ll be talking with my stylist in the morning because I definitely don’t want big and flowy tunic style shirts. Maybe they’ll be following Liz’s site for feedback. I need a pair of jeans that fit perfect or near, some dressier tops that aren’t tunic for nights out and a few decent dresses. I’ll post how I make out. I’m also going to ask if she needs my measurements.

I just signed up as well and my box should be shipping on the first! I run between size 12/14/16 and have a really hard time finding things to fit me. My most recent pair of non-jean shorts are both sized 10. I just don’t get it, but I hope this works.

Curious….they want to have me set up a 10 minute phone call which is fine; I think it’s a good idea but part of me thinks it’s not safe to give out my phone number, such as wanting to cancel and keep getting calls or something. Has anyone consulted with them by phone yet?

Lura

They’ll do the consultation by email too if you don’t want to give them your number. That’s what I did.

Nancy

Thanks! I went back and set up a phone appointment after realizing I could always block any calls I don’t want. I’m scheduled for a Tuesday morning (tomorrow) EST call. I’ve never worked with a stylist; should be interesting 🙂

Tammy

Well that was quick. I signed up yesterday and got an email today about having a box sent out by the 1st.

Well I’m in! Love these type of things. I have been getting good boxes from SF with XL items, but love to try something new! Its on a waitlist right now.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy

There are some YouTube reviews of this. I liked what I saw there, so I am really interested in trying this out. I hope the waiting list isn’t too long.

Sara

I’m so excited, I’ve been dying for a plus size clothing service!!

Jessvii

Finally. I’m not the target customer for this service, but I have family members who are.

Tammy

Well, I decided to jump in and try it even though I am always wary of new boxes. I like that you can choose when and how often you want one. I hope I don’t regret this!

Its about time they had a plus size clothing service. I would love to see this box reviewed because I am interested in applying for their service. I only wish there would be a plus size golden tote like service now.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

Relish offers up to a size 3X now and they seem to be similar to goldentote except it is all surprises.

Reply ButtonReply

GigiR

I just went to their site.. where do I go for the plus size totes? Is it the Curvy Plus? Because all the ones that say box (paypal, the relish…) seem to be sold out or the sizing only goes up to a size XL.

anna

I signed up for the waitlist– so glad to finally see a styling service that caters to plus sizes.

Will this box be reviewed by MSA? I’d love to see some more information about it!

I’ve received two boxes so far from Dia, and I love it! They are comparable to SF but not the same (other than $20 styling fee that goes toward cost of what you keep). The price points aren’t quite as high & it seems more personal. They even like to do a phone (or email) consult with you to get to know your style. I love the personal touch, that they price match & it’s more affordable for me. My stylist has also done a great job of incorporating my comments & tailoring to what I want. My last box had a floral summer dress, a really cute pair of shorts, a geometric necklace, a work friendly short sleeve shirt & the most awesome pair of boyfriend ankle jeans. All recognizable brands, total box cost $190 (even cheaper because I found the shorts on sale at a competitor & they matched it). One month they sent a pair of pants I loved but they didn’t quite fit, so they offered to find the size I need if I wanted them. I’ve tried all 3 vendors that offer this type of service & right now Dia is my favorite.

Davi

What are the other 2 services that offer plus sizes?

Reply ButtonReply

Jenna

Gwynnie Bee is another plus size one. I think the sizes are 10-32

Rowsdower

One of them is Relish Clothing. They were recently reviewed on this site. Just search “relish” it’s the first one that pops up. I’m giving it a try (hope it’s good!).

Rowsdower

One is Relish Clothing. I gave it a whirl on the 20th, but haven’t received a shipping notice yet. It was reviewed on MSA recently: https://www.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/2015/07/relish-clothing-mystery-box-review-july-2015.html

I’m not sure of another one.

Valerie

Def sounds like one I’d like to try out for a month at least! I love how even how often you receive the box can be customized!

Is this related to stitch fix? It seems like a similar format and even website layout.
