This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – July 2015 - keychain-pen

Kidrobot Yummy Breakfast Enamel Keychain - Value $5.99

Superman Little Mates 4 In 1 Double Stamper Bubble Pen - Value $3.95

My seven-year-old son and I are both a little obsessed with this pen! It's not just a pen, it also is a bubble blower, plus it has a large superman stamp and a small Superman stamp roller! This is definitely a back-to-school hero item!

The keychain is also cute, and I think it's not being made any more. I think I read that Kidrobot only makes limited edition toys, too. My niece will love this!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – July 2015 - books

Owl Magazine - Value $5.25

Stranded by Jeff Probst and Chris Tebbetts - Value $6.99

This magazine is full of activities and comics I know my sons will enjoy. And I can't believe this book is a NYT Best Seller! And it's written by the host of Survivor? How cool! I might have to read it myself. I think I'm going to save both of these for our long flight to see the in-laws in September. They will be put to good use!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – July 2015 - timepocalypse

Plants vs. Zombies: Timepocalypse by Paul Tobin - Value $5.39

My seven-year-old LOVES Plants vs. Zombies so much! He devoured this graphic novel immediately!

Nerd Block Junior Girls Subscription Box Review – July 2015 - tote

Disney Frozen Elsa & Anna Tote Bag - Value $5.33

My niece is going to go absolutely insane over this tote bag!

The Verdict: Nerd Block Jr. for Girls is awesome! The value comes to right around $32, which is really good for a $20 price. Many of the items are also discontinued, which would be a problem for some kinds of items, but for nerdy goodies, that usually is step one on the path to becoming collectible. I liked that several of the items were gender neutral. If I were a little girl, I would have loved this package! I think my nieces will love these goodies (whatever is left after my boys take what they want!).

What do you think of Nerd Block Jr. for Girls?

I have the Stranded series in my classroom (6th grade, it is for my lower readers). They are great books!

Hate being negative, but this is my 1st box and I’m disappointed. Wish there were more gender specific items. Really was hoping for hello kitty something. Fingers crossed for next month.
