Little Pnuts is a quarterly toy subscription box for children. They send you the best in sustainably made, ecologically friendly, organic, and naturally made toys.
“In today’s society we seem to have taken for granted those simple childhood joys. With the “faster than a speeding bullet” advancement of technology, we have quickly moved away from the written letter, the signed card and the care package of books, gifts or toys.”
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.) Find more subscription boxes for kids in the My Subscription Addiction Directory here!
The Box: Little Pnuts Special Delivery
The Cost: $25 a month or $240 annual
The Products: 3-5 toys curated to meet your child’s developmental milestones (Ages 0-5)
Ships: Each quarter (March, June, September and December)
Good to Know: Little Pnuts has a toy shoppe in Louisiana. You can also purchase individual items from the online store and have them delivered to you directly or made ready for pick-up. Pretty cool.
I received a “welcome” card with this box. It has a ton of information about the contents inside, so I hope this comes with every box. I love that they’ve added a list of milestones my two year old Abigail should be going through, but this box was curated for a 1 year old child. We’ll get it corrected for next time. I think there was a slight miscommunication on my end. No worries, we have friends at church that just had a baby boy and I’ll be happy to pass some items over.
Sea Life Bath Set by Plan Toys - Retail Value $19.99
How cute are these? I wish we had these when our kids were much younger. I’m afraid that they’ll just throw them at each other now. They’re quite heavy. This will go to our friends.
Lighthouse Stacking Game by Haba - Retail Value $19.95
I’m a sucker for puzzles. I couldn’t resist putting it together for the picture. Each piece is very well made. I’d love to get more products from this brand.
Under the Sea Qubes by Hape - Retail Value $13.00
William and Abigail are a little obsessed with penguins. So I had to keep this set for them. Each piece is made of wood and I love the color quality. My only complaint here is the hard sharp plastic container. It went to the recycle bin right away.
Fish Castanet by Plan Toys - Retail Value $5
Good thing John was around for this box opening, I had no idea how to work this thing. Shameful, I know. LOL. It’s super cute, and I would have given it away as well, but I was more concerned about the small wooden handle going into a baby’s mouth. We’re past that phase around here, thank goodness.
Wiggle book by Taro Gomi - Retail Value $6.99
I love getting books in subscription boxes, but I’m giving this one away. We have a few “finger-hole” books like this around already and this story didn’t hold their interest.
Verdict: Little Pnuts retail values at about $65, just over the $60 per box cost. My kiddos enjoyed playing with everything even though this box was not meant for their age group and I’m glad that we had a good time going through each item together as a family. William and I were tickled silly when we took turns acting out scenes from “Finding Nemo” with the fish and sea turtle from the bath sets. Abigail really likes the lighthouse, and I was tempted to keep it for her, but I know that it will have a longer lifespan with a younger child. John really liked the castanet and plays it very well. His rhythm surprised me and the kids and it will be a great addition to the instruments they already play around the house.
