A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Baby

You Spin Me Right Round Baby Flat Card

#Soulmates Flat Card

These are both cute - but I think the #Soulmates card is my favorite one for the month. What a cute dinosaur and a giraffe couple!

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Birthday

Happy Birthday To You Flat Card

You're Married Folded Card

On the inside of the wedding card it says, "That's Swanderful! Congratulations!"

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Real

Keepin' It Real Flat Card

I Love You Berry Much Flat Card

These cards both use the light blue metallic foil. (Happy Mail usually features a colored foil on some of their cards each month).

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Good Looking

Crossword Flat Card

Ridiculously Good Looking Folded Card

I love both of these cards. The crossword card is good for any occasion - just circle the appropriate greeting! And on the inside of the Ridiculously Good Looking card it says, "But you're handling it just fine."

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Taco

Let's Taco 'Bout It Postcard

Hiya Toots Pencil

Each month usually includes a postcard, but the pencil is a bonus item according to the official unboxing video.

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Day Dream

Don't Quit Your Day Dream Print

Scribble Envelope

Happy Mail is pretty good at sending me something I want to frame each month - and this print is it for July! When I first opened this package, I thought I was missing the card that went with this envelope, but after watching the unboxing video, I learned that it is another bonus item they included for mailing pictures or a letter.

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Stickers

Succulents Stickers

Neon Letter Stickers

These circle stickers are great for sealing envelopes - and all the stickers Happy Mail sends are really good quality - the paper material is heavy weight.

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – July 2015 Asset

Whatever Makes You Weird is Probably Your Greatest Asset

And this is the large print for this month. I'm a little bummed that the bottom left corner has some markings on it.

Verdict: I always enjoy this subscription - and I think the name "Happy Mail" is perfect - it is such a fun subscription! I think the value is great too. I signed up for an annual subscription, so to get all these pieces for $15 is a great deal to me.

What do you think of the July Happy Mail package?

My card was also marked on the bottom. I was going to see if I could cover it with a frame.

I’m a new subscriber to Happy Mail and I have to agree there is an overabundance of significant other cards. I already have too many and being single I end up giving them away to friends and family. The reason I signed up for this sub was so that I could SEND cards to friends and family!

I just signed up. I’ve loved your reviews of the boxes so I couldn’t resist any longer. I recently cancelled a bunch of my subs to try and clean house (and reduce some clutter) so that freed up some money to be able to subscribe to Happy Mail. I committed to a year so I could get the $15/month price. I moved away from my hometown about a year ago and don’t live near anyone that I know; maybe these cards will help me reconnect with some friends and family. 🙂

My large print was also bent and marred from the pencil. I sent them an email and they replied in just a couple hours (on a Sunday!) that they would send a replacement.

I agree with everyone on the significant other cards. I usually subject my husband to the unboxing of my envelope so he sees all the cards right away. I’ve framed some of them but it would be nice to see some more variety. Maybe some for holidays or weird days like that. Those would be fun to send to friends and family.

I also agree about the large number of “Significant Other” cards. I’m not a single lady, but rather happily married. There are 2-3 times per year I would give my husband a card and the “love yous” wouldn’t work for a friend. On the other hand, I need birthday cards ALL the time and they only supply maybe one per pack. I subbed because I thought it would save money and I like the style, but I find I have all these “love you” cards leftover and I still need birthday cards. Would have loved Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards (multiple please) and holiday cards.

Yes! I was surprised they didn’t send any Father’s Day cards in June (or even May since some subscribers may not get it in time). I would love random holiday cards (like National Ice Cream Day?!). And I always, always need birthday and wedding cards, and, lately, new baby cards, which we have never gotten. I’ve needed three of those this summer! We also rarely get congrats cards that could be for anything from new job to getting engaged to having a baby; graduation would have been useful in May/June.

There are only so many cards I can give my boyfriend every month. We get at least a few love/significant other cards each pack, which is disappointing. Last month we got four love cards (I’m counting “I’m lucky to Have You” and “Sealed With a Kiss” and “Cuckoo for You” and “You’re prickly but I still love you,” which I’m not going to send to friends.) Speaking of “but I still love you,” we also got a “You’re Twisted But I Still Love You” card once.

Also, my justification for getting this subscription was that I am ‘stocking’ up on cards so I don’t send them out every month but rather hold on to them for when I need them. So eventually I should have enough people to send all the love cards to!

Not my favorite month for this sub. It seems like in an effort to not take themselves too seriously, the result has been less than impressive items that aren’t particularly useful. Not every single thing in the box has to elicit a “haha that’s so random!” response – it’d be nice to have a few more demure items in the box, in addition to the purely playful ones.

I generally like this sub, but I totally agree on this point!

Yes!! I feel like a third of the package each month are significant other cards- SO useful so a single lady. :/

*for a single lady…darn Autocorrect!

I’ve also noticed that a lot of cards are very “significant other” specific. One of the months had an “eye love you” card with eyes all over it. I was able to send it to my grandma and I think it could be sent to any close relative or family member. Spelling and punctuation errors aside, I still really love this sub box. I wish they would send more variety of cards (I.e. Condolence, get well, congrats, etc.). I’m glad they’ve sent wedding cards though.

I was also confused about the extra envelope! haha… I really love the “don’t quit your day dream” print. I’m not so much loving the large print this month, which is good, since my mail lady decided to crease my Happy Mail envelope in half and cram it into my box this month 🙁

Mine was bent too.

The comma in the ‘Whatever makes you weird…’ print is driving me crazy. They really need a proofreader to take a look at their copy before sending it off to the printer.

I love this subscription, but I have one issue. The past two months (my only months subscribing) have had 2-3 cards that can really only be used for a significant other…is this common? I don’t need 2-3 cards a month to give to my husband…

My print has a mark on it too, but it’s not too bad. I also was confused about the envelope.

I have also come to this conclusion.

I really liked this month’s mailing, but my pencil arrived in two pieces and the large print, in addition to having a grammar error, was also banged up in the mail. This is my fourth month and i always have at least one damaged item per shipping.

I am wondering the same thing. My husband does not need 2-3 cards a month. I have so many cards for him now.

I am so glad you told me about that envelope! I didn’t know what to do with it!
