Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review – July 2015 Info

Each box comes with a card which details each jewelry piece.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review – July 2015 Wrap

Bridget Tenacious Wrap Bracelet – Retail Value $59

(Retail Value taken from Cate and Chloe). This bracelet is made with genuine leather, and I like the gold metal plated pieces.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review – July 2015 Wrap 2

This is a very wearable piece for me, and something I will be able to mix up and pair with different bracelets.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review – July 2015 Necklace

Lily Virtuous Pearl Necklace – Retail Value $59

This necklace is silver plated. It’s gorgeous, but I tend to go for gold jewelry tones, so I may end up swapping or gifting this piece.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review – July 2015 Bracelet

Brooke Of Nature Bangle – Retail Value $99

This is the “perk of the month.” Usually, they include an item like a lip balm or mirror, but for July it is an extra jewelry piece. I like that the design is simple, but bangles aren’t usually for me since they annoy me when I’m typing!

Verdict: I listed the retail values from Cate and Chloe’s site, but I wouldn’t consider these pieces to be worth $220 total. The quality is good for costume jewelry, but the retail prices seem inflated to me. I would consider this box to be worth the typical $20 per piece. (Or in this month’s case $13.33 a piece).

What do you think of the Cate and Chloe VIP subscripion?

  1. I got the same exact three pieces, plus an extra bangle – I’m guessing because it’s my birthday month?

I absolutely love the wrap bracelet – I’ve been looking for something like this! I might have liked it a tiny bit better if it were silver-toned, but I still really love it.

I also like the extra perk bangle, and the bangle they sent as my birthday gift matches the ring they sent in my box last month, so I like it as well.

The necklace is the only thing that isn’t my style, so I’ve listed it for swap. I wish I had gotten another ring this time, but there’s always next month! 🙂

So far, Cate & Chloe has been a great sub for me.

    • You know they replace a piece you don’t like with any item on the site? You just have to pay for return shipping.

  2. I’m an L&D nurse too. Actually got to help deliver my first grandbaby two weeks ago and that was the first thing I thought of when that necklace too

    • Congratulations! That is awesome!

  3. I just wanted to strongly recommend that you read the reviews for Ali Express before buying…really…read the reviews. I wish I had.

    • AliExpress is like e-bay, except that items are not for auction. It has thousands of sellers. You need to read the reviews for the specific seller that you are dealing with and, if you don’t get the item in time, file a complaint to get your money back.

  4. I always like reading the reviews, I find it interesting on what boxes have as prices listed as. There was a similar Lily Virtuous Pearl Necklace in the BonjourJoli box last month. – I wish I liked costume jewelry, it’s just not for me. I did get the FFF box because I liked the necklace, and I like the real stones in the yogi surprise jewelry box. Yet the bracelets don’t fit right. What would be nice to see is a real sterling silver, and real stone jewelry box, or a real gold even 10k jewelry box out. Obviously it would be priced higher, yet I’d be okay with paying more for a box with a box non costume jewelry box.

  5. Maybe it’s because I work in an office full of men and toilet humor, but that necklace looks like something naughty to me.

    • It does have a certain “Georgia O’Keefe” look to it, doesn’t it?

    • I’m a labor and delivery nurse and that’s the first thing I thought! lol

    • I’m a doula, and that’s what I first thought of, too! “Oh, what lovely vulva. I should adorn my neck with this.”

  6. That calla lily necklace looks identical to the one in the Bonjour Jolie box last month. It was definitely not listed at $59. I’m skeptical.

    • I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw that!

    • Hey, for $14 you can get a lot of 10 very similar necklaces at Ali Express (see it by clicking on my name)

      • omg!! You’re totally right!! I never bought on Ali Express but I might start to do so now!
