1UP Box Subscription Box Review – June 2015 - info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included. The theme this month is Arcade.

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – June 2015 - figure

Super Street Fighter Bobble Budds Ryu – Value $24 on Amazon

First off, I was surprised by the value, but I haven’t been able to find a Ryu Bobble Budds lower than $20-25. This bobble head is 3 1/2 inches tall and all the pieces come apart. This is the first time I’ve seen a bobble budd – not sure if I’m the target audience for it though.

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – June 2015 - lanyard

Space Alien Lanyard – Value $5?

This lanyard celebrates Space Invaders, with a classic “Game Over” arcade aesthetic.

Spider-Man Zipper Pull – Value $5 on Amazon

At first, I couldn’t figure out what Spidey had to do with Arcade, but it makes sense that this would be the ‘Marvel’ side or Marvel vs Capcom.

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – June 2015 - pacman

Pac-Man Candy Tin – Value $5 on Amazon

You have to include Pac-Man in an arcade themed box! I really like the tin this comes in. The bottom pulls off so you can munch on strawberry flavored Pan-Man candies.

Metallic Arcade Decal – Value $2?

I couldn’t find this for sale online. It’s a flexible, metallic looking, Arcade sticker

1UP Box Subscription Box Review – June 2015 - shirts

Fight Fight Revolution T-Shirt – Value $10?

This exclusive t-shirt is a Dan Dance Revolution and Street Fighter mashup – combining two extremely popular arcade games. It’s a nice, thin material t-shirt.

Verdict: The value of the items comes in well over the cost of this box. While I love the arcade, and arcade themed boxes, this one focused on games that I wasn’t as much of a fan of.

  1. I am stuck between this one and lootcrate as a “pick me up” gift for my hubby. I’m having a super hard time deciding which sub to get him. Which do you think is best? (I’d love to be able to get him more than one, but unfortunately money is a bit tight now thanks to loads of hospital bills.)

    • IMO, since loot crate is only like $5 more than 1up box, I think you get more quality of stuff from loot crate. I’ve been pretty happy with them

      • Thanks! Lootcrate it is then!

  2. Sounds interesting – but I think with the cost for Canadians, these items would not be worth it to me. I can buy some of these items separately and I wouldn’t go for all of them.
