My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Target Summer Beauty Box

The Cost: $7

The Products:

  • Olay Regenerist Luminous HydraSwirl Eye Cream
  • Revlon HD Lipstick
  • SinfulColors Professional Nail Color
  • Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads
  • Fekkai Professional Hair Care

Each box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $3 off a beauty department purchase of $15 or more.

Fekkai Soleil Hair Mist – 1.7 oz Value $6.80

Based on the card, it looks like there will be variation in which Fekkai product everyone receives. I’m happy with this selection. It’s designed to give your hair protection from the sun. It’s a really lightweight formula, and the scent is pretty subtle too.

SinfulColors Professional Nail Color in Supernova – FULL SIZE! Value $1.99

This nail polish is 3-Free, and a colors-may-vary item in the box. This brand is new to me, and I like this Supernova metallic shade.

OLAY Regenerist Luminous HydraSwirl Eye Cream – FULL SIZE! Value $23

This eye cream has a formula that is somewhere between a gel and a cream. I really like how my skin feels after I apply it, and I can detect just a hint of of the luminousness thanks to those white swirls in the bottle. It’s also unscented – something I always appreciate in skincare. I’ll need to use it for a few weeks to see if I see any difference in my under eye darkness, but so far I’m a fan.

Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads (3) Value $1.20

In general I prefer acetone-free nail polish remover because the smell bothers me a little, but these will be good to keep as backup.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in 875 Gladiolus – FULL SIZE! Value $7.99

This lipstick is made with a wax-free gel, and I can tell the difference from regular lipstick formulas. This one feels more lightweight. It still has a ton of pigment though! Here is a swatch:

Verdict: I’m always happy with Target Beauty Boxes, and this is another great one! The value is amazing for the $7 cost – I received about $41 worth of items. (And three of the items are full size!) What do you think of the Summer 2015 Target Beauty Box? Were you able to grab one (or more) before they sold out?

  1. The OLAY Regenerist Luminous HydraSwirl Eye Cream is actually not full size. I think the website used the 0.5 oz photo, but if you read the description, it says 4 oz for $23.99. Hope this helps!

  2. Okay so I ordered two women’s boxes and one men’s and no delayed shipping notice was sent to me, HOWEVER I have been stalking the page for shipping updates like a hawk and I used a red card. I ordered within 4 minutes of Liz posting these were available (I know, I have a problem) and yet no box. but FINALLY it says out for delivery now with the tracking they posted on the page (never sent to me). If i get the spring boxes I will be sooooo mad. I got two of those and one is still sitting in my room untouched other than the lipstick which was gifted. I will post which I get tonight. I’m happy to get something since it seems many orders were canceled but being charged $7 for the $5 box is not okay

    • Just got the boxes and they are the summer! Same box as Liz

  3. Well, I got my box today, finally. I’m not a happy camper. I was charged $7 for the Summer box, but they sent me the $5 Spring box, which I’d already gotten in April. I’m going to reach out to them and see what they say. At a minimum, I want my $2 back, but I really didn’t want another Spring box.

    • The same thing happened to me! I was so excited to get the summer box, too 🙁 I hope they are still able to send them out to us.

      • Unfortunately, they told me they were out and could not send me the summer box. I’m having to return the spring box I received in order to get a refund. I’m not happy. I wish they’d just canceled my order.

        • They told me the same thing, and I agree, wish they would have just cancelled it. Now, we have to go to the trouble to fix it. I think I’m just going to take the loss and keep the spring box. I’ve ordered every one of their beauty boxes, but I am so disappointed, this time, I may not get any more.

  4. mine was canceled too– I wonder what happened

  5. I received the same delay and then cancellation email. I sent Target a nasty email although I’m sure they won’t care. I ordered mine almost as soon as they went on sale so I told them I wanted to know exactly how they decided who got their boxes shipped and who’s were cancelled. If they are able to say when a box is sold out then they should be aware of how many boxes they have. It doesn’t make any sense to me.

    • My women’s box and the men’s box I ordered for hubs for father’s day were both cancelled. I am so sad about it. I ordered really soon and people I know that ordered after me got there boxes. Not sure how Target decided who got a box and who did not.

    • Wow! Well, I had been annoyed before that my box hadn’t shipped, but at least it’s on the way. One of my friends who ordered after me definitely got hers already, and I did receive the men’s box right away, so it must not have been done on a “first-come-first-serve” basis. My friend wondered if it’s because she used a Red Card, but I didn’t use one and my men’s box was shipped right away.. so that still doesn’t explain it. Now I’m curious as to if I’ll get another spring box! I sure hope not..

  6. I’m bummed (and a little upset). I initially received the email saying there will be a delay in shipping, now I received the email saying my order was cancelled! I haven’t received the gift card email yet. I’m hoping it really does come through.
What makes me most upset is the FAQ section says they won’t charge your credit card until the order ships. Well, my card was charged! There better be a refund coming too!

  7. hello Julie,
Unfortunately, due to incredibly high demand, we are unable to fulfill the item(s) below from order (Order # ___)
We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause. Please accept our sincerest apologies and a $10 Target eGiftCard that is redeemable at
You will receive this Target eGiftCard in a separate message in approximately 24 hours. Limit one Target eGiftCard per guest.
    Thanks for shopping at Target.
    Team Target

    • I just got that same email. I ordered as soon as Liz posted and ordered the mens ones on a diff order. Got both mens boxes but got my womens boxes cancelled. Anybody have full boxes for sale or swap? Soooooo sad!

      • I will even send you my Target gift card code for it when I get that email. Raquelslaughter at gmail.

    • I just got the same email too :(. I initially just got the delayed order email this morning. I was really looking forward to it too! Booooooooooo. 🙁

  8. Sigh, I just got an email from Target saying that my order has been delayed. Now the estimated shipping is 6/25-6/29. I don’t know why mine took longer since I pretty much ordered mine as soon as Liz posted the original post about it. Well, at least it wasn’t cancelled. Still looking forward to it, but I just wish I had it now. Haha.

  9. I am completely unimpressed with Target. They somehow sent both boxes to an old address that I haven’t lived at for almost 10 years. I have never ordered from Target before or ever had a Target card so I don’t even know how my old address came up. They told me oh well. No way to correct the address and resend it when it comes back to them. Will never buy from Target again. Anyone who hasn’t gotten your box yet check the shipping address. My address was right on the checkout page and shipping email but in the warehouse the wrong address got used.

    • Oh and ps-the post office told me they could try to intercept them and route the boxes back to me with the correct address but I would almost certainly have postage due for all the extra shipping. So annoyed with Target lol they did say they would refund my card when they get the boxes back.

      • Update: the men’s box showed up yesterday shockingly with no postage due. The women’s box hasn’t reached Target yet and hasn’t been rerouted to me so we’ll see what happens there. My husband loves his box so I’m happy with that.

        • Finally got my refund for the womens box that was returned to them by the post office. I will never buy from Target again. So much hassle and errors on their end over 12.00 I had to threaten a dispute with my credit card to get my 7.00 refund. Ridiculous!

  10. Hi, got my box today, shipped to CA. It was processing for a few days and then finally shipped and got here fast :). I got the Gladiolous shade of lipstick, which isn’t my favorite, the Sinful polish in Boom Boom (a pretty Magenta) and a Fekkai brilliant glossing creme, plus the nail polish remover wipes. I was surprised the Olay eye product was so small (0.5fl) but I guess you don’t need as much. Overall, totally love my box 🙂

    • My box came in today and I got the same variations. Slightly bummed about the Fekkai product because glossing creme is definitely not something my oily enough to have to wash every day hair needs – I was really hoping for the hair mist Liz got – but the value is awesome and I’m happy my box came through.

  11. Ugh. Target delivered mine to an old address and the post office decided not to forward it to my new addresss, so I’m out of luck. 🙁

    • Me too. I am completely unimpressed by Target. I’ve lived at my current address for almost 10 years!! No idea how my old address even came up.

  12. i loved everything else in the box save the nail polish, but that’s hardly where the value really was. i love the gladiolus lippysticky, and i like the subtle dewy shimmer of the eyecream. the fekkai sunflower oil spray is wonderful for days i airdry, really: leaves my natural waves soft and unfrizzed.

  13. I just got mine today! I am actually very happy with it, especially since I was able to nab free shipping. I got a light blue polish which is super fun. 🙂

  14. I ordered numerous boxes of the men’s and women’s, mine came in today. I received the same items as Liz, the only color variations in some of the boxes was the nail polish. I love both boxes, though I am a little scared of that bright red lipstick lol

  15. I haven’t gotten mine yet 🙁 Target site says delivery date between the 10th & 15th..what?. I ordered mine right away too. I received my Spring box much quicker. I would be quite shocked if they let you order it and then just ran out! I am excited to see there is a variation in the nail color. Sinful colors is sold at my local Walmart, I think I have one bottle I don’t recall the staying power. Hopefully I get a box tho…

    • I haven’t received mine yet either! I ordered both the summer beauty box and the father’s day box. My order still says it is in processing mode. Hasn’t even shipped.

    • Last time there was a wide variation in how long it took people to get theirs. I doubt very seriously that they will run out.

  16. Do you know if we can exchange the nail polish for a different color?

    • I’m not sure about exchanging… I’ve never tried to exchange something like this at Target.

    • I’d be really surprised if they let you exchange this… I would think if you wanted to return/exchange, you’d have to do it for the whole box as it’s technically a single product. I’m not even sure if they carry that size of the Sinful colors in stores as these are probably just samples, though I could be wrong. I usually just swap or gift to others.

    • It would be worth a try if you will be shopping at Target anyway. I would bring your receipt and say that the color is different in the photo and ask if you can pick one out. The worst they can do is say no.

That being said it is a $2 polish. If they say no, you can use your polish to decide if you like the formula.

  17. I don’t think I’d heard of or noticed Sinful Colors before, but I tried it last night and love it so far. I only did one coat (I got Supernova) and it was awesome. Might put on a second coat in a day or two, but it dried fast and covered really good. I’m going to look next time I’m at Target and maybe get another color to try out. I usually don’t buy cheaper polish bc it doesn’t seem to be good or last very long, but I’m impressed with this so far. So glad I got the Target Beauty Box so I could try it.

  18. I was kind of bummed with this box (but with a price of $7 and a value of $40 I’m not too mad) I didn’t realize that the hair products were going to vary and I got some sort of hydrating cream, would have prefered the dry shampoo that was pictured on the website or even the sun spray that others seemed to receive. The lipstick I was excited about because I had gotten that brand (and it turns out same color >.<) in the Allure beauty box and was excited to get another shade (so I thought) But no such luck, same shade as the Allure box (must be a popular shade for summer!) So I will see if I can gift it to someone, it's a pretty bright shade so I may not have too many takers. The nail polish color I got is a fire engine red (not a fan too much of an orange tone) so I'll be giving that away as well. The eye cream is a good value though and I can always use nail polish remover pads (for when I don't peel all my nail polish off anyway) I'll still keep getting the box's because they are an insane value and a fun way to try new products.

  19. I wear those dark lipsticks as a base. I apply a light color on top. Gives them real staying power and this way I can adjust the color to my mood of the day. Love this box.

  20. Received mine yesterday. Not too happy with it. I already had the same nail polish and the lip stick was a horrible bright red….. Something my grandmother would have worn. Looking forward to using the eye cream and hair stuff though.

  21. On the back of the Revlon lipstick card that comes with the lipstick there is a Revlon Web address to submit your information to get a $5 Target gift card mailed to you.

    • Great!

    • I forgot to do that when I first for box so tried earlier this morning and it said over quota – they reached their limit on gift cards 🙁

      • I haven’t even received my box yet. If their is a code for a $5 gift card and they are out already that i will be very upset…..

        • *that will make me very upset

          • I’ve been hearing that they are out of gift cards. I haven’t tried it cuz I don’t shop at Target enough to want one but try it. Worst that happens is they say no.

        • I got my box today and I just tried and yes, the gift cards are gone. Bummer. the card does say “be among the first to sign up” so they did say it was time sensitive. Sucks for those of us who got out boxes later.

  22. Ordered two women’s boxes – they both arrived the same day that I received the shipping confirmation email (yay for Target’s quick shipping!) 🙂 Everything in each box was exactly the same except for the nail polishes: I received a periwinkle color (Sail La Vie) in one, and a pinkish coral color (Thimbleberry) in the other. SUPER excited about the color variation! I wasn’t even upset that I got the same lipstick color (Gladiolus) in both boxes because of the value.

  23. This ships so quickly! I also got the Soleil mist, the lipstick in Gladiolus & a periwinkle nail polish called “Sail La Vie”.

    • It’s strange, I ordered both men’s and women’s, and the men’s arrived quickly (and I definitely got a tracking #). Women’s box is still in processing mode.

      • I ordered both too, as soon as it was released and my whole order says processing :'( I really hope they don’t run out or I will be so upset!! Literally ordered within 15 minutes of Liz posting it and I have yet to receive either box or tracking :'(

        • Mine were two separate orders as I saw the men’s one later. Seems like it would be pretty awful if they ran out.. I posted it on FB and a friend who ordered hers hours after I ordered mine got hers already. And I ordered the men’s box second!

          • I even used a red card! And a pre-existing account with tons of past orders, including for the past boxes. If they ran out and I have the proof I ordered mine before so many others who got there’s it’s not going to be pretty :'(

        • That’s weird. I ordered one of each same day they became available and they shipped literally hours later. Both are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I would email Target about that.

  24. Super pleased with this box!

    – Revlon lipstick in Gladiolus
    – Fekkai brilliant glossing styling creme
    – Polish in Energetic Red

And the Olay eye cream and Cutex polish remover pads.

The lipstick is especially great and feels super moisturizing. Tons of pigment. There’s a coupon on the back of the lipstick package for $1 off and I will definitely be purchasing this in an everyday color.

  25. I received mine two days ago. It came with Fekkai creme in the blue and white and now I am trying to get more Fekkai products from swapping.

My nail polish was blue and the lippie was the same color you received.

I tried the lippie and actually love it!!!!! The feel; taste and everything.

  26. I got a different Fekkai product (love mine) and the ugly blue nail polish instead of the cute shade Liz got. The eye gel is a bit sticky. Gifted the lipstick and acetone pads to my daughter in law – a good deal for $7!

  27. Since you said you’re not familiar with Sinful Nail Colors – it’s a bargain brand. They have a fantastic color range. The formula is really nice when you put it on, but I found that it does chip faster than my nicer nail polishes (with the same good base & top coat.) I don’t care because when I’ve purchased the brand, I buy crazy colors and I usually don’t wear them as long as my neutrals! It is one of my favorite nail polish brands because of the color selection and price!

  28. This looks like a great box! I’ve enjoyed the Target boxes a lot. However the last one came with a product missing and there was a mistake with the address they put on it and it was lost for awhile, but I’m thinking this one will make up for that! : P

  29. So many great products! I can’t wait to get mine. Sinful Colors is sold at Walgreen’s for about $1.99 each. They do have them on sale quite often for 99 cents. It’s a bargain brand but I do really like their polishes. 🙂

  30. Thanks Liz for the e-mail…. I got to order mine in time before they sold out…. I got both of them one for me and one for my husband…. can wait to receive it…

  31. Got mine today, too! I got a styling cream. My nail polish color is “Energetic Red,” but I did get the red lipstick (“Gladiolus,” I think). I had to work this afternoon, so I did get to put a few of these to the test.

The styling cream is very heavily scented (citrus and floral), but it kept my braid in place all night. It’s also not too heavy, so it might double as a hair perfume, too.

The lipstick… OMG… It stayed put. It REALLY stayed put. I did reapply once after I ate and drank a lot, but even then the pigment was still going. It’s not transfer-proof or smudge-proof, which means it will come off on whatever you put your lips on, but it definitely did NOT fade. Mine is still kicking after about 9 hours with only the one reapplication. There’s no feathering. Feels fantastic, and my lips are nicely moisturized. It also has a very pleasant cherry chapstick fragrance that appeals to my kiddie side. I would definitely purchase again if it wasn’t for the fact that I do tend to get very similar results from my ELF essentials red lipstick, which is only $1, but this is nice to have in addition to that. I wonder if the gel formula will have the same crumbling problem that most reds have after a while. Only time will tell.

The eye gel is a keeper. I already use an Oil of Olay cream on my eyes at night, and this will be a perfect daytime compliment. I’d probably end up buying this anyway, so this was a really nice get and more than paid for the price of the box. A little bit went a long way. My eyes felt very refreshed and still look great after getting off work.

I haven’t had a chance to try the nail polish remover or the polish. I’m going to be wearing an outfit tomorrow that goes better with my ELF nail polish in mint cream, so it’ll be a few days before I get to test those out, but the pretty corally red color seems like it’ll be fun.

    • Okay, so I finally tried the other products…

The polish remover pads… OMG! I’m getting these in a full size. One polish remover pad was more than enough for all ten nails. It didn’t tear or dry out as I used it, and the formula was tough enough to REALLY cut through my elf polish (which can be a bit of a pain when removing).

The polish is another story. The color was WAY sheer, which means I had to top my base coat with a white and THEN two coats of this to get a good coverage before adding my topcoat. And for all that work, it chipped within 12 hours! Before the end of the first 24 hours, one nail had peeled off completely, and when I took a shower that evening the rest came off in one large piece for each nail. I was so stumped that I actually had to Google to make sure that this wasn’t supposed to be a peel off formula. I’m giving this one to my daughter.

      • Wow! I’ve used sinful colors a lot and never had a peeling issue. In fact, the glitter ones are very hard for me to get off! I wonder if they’ve changed their formula?
My box has been stuck in one spot for a week! I’m hoping it makes it here soon and I don’t get an email saying my order was cancelled like others…

  32. Have you heard anything about the walmart beauty box? I can’t even get the site to load anymore.

  33. I got all the same options as Liz, except my nail polish is a periwinkle blue. I like everything except the lipstick which is just too red for my pale skin.

  34. I just got my box today and I love everything in it! I got the dry shampoo, the lipstick in the Gladiolus red which I was worried about but it gave my lips a beautiful vampy color. Plus it feels really good on the lips nice and creamy. I got the nail polish in Thimble berry and its this gorgeous bright coral color that is perfect for summer, can’t wait to use it. Thank you again for posting about this, I’m so glad I got a box.

  35. I hope I get the same hair product and lipstick color!

  36. Yay…..I was able to snag one so I can’t wait to receive mine! Next time I’m going to get a few!!

  37. I managed to order 2 (thanks Liz! I wouldn’t have remembered without the email!). I might be in the minority, but I’m really hoping for the red lipstick! (I recently dyed my hair black, so the color finally works on me…and since I dyed it black, the sun protector spray would be excellent). So, fingers crossed.
I am also kinda hoping for a variety in the two boxes, but I realize that’s probably unlikely.

  38. I made sure to jump on this box as soon as I saw your post. I’ll be getting it next week. Glad to see it’s good for the value!

  39. I got mine today, the shipping was so fast! I placed s second order for one for my sister though and it won’t be here till this week sometime. I love your polish color, I got energetic red. I was really hoping for the dry shampoo but got Brilliant Glossing Creme, I’ve never tried it but it smells great! It’s a pretty good size too. Everything else is the same, I gave the Olay away. I haven’t gotten dark circles (yet)!

  40. I received mine yesterday. I was thrilled! The Olay eye cream/gel was worth the purchase price for me. (Full size, YAY!)The nail polish Thimbleberry is a beautiful pinky coral color perfect for summer. The sun protectant mist is great. The lip stick is a bit red, I tone it down with a very pale nude. The texture is great though. Overall I’m super impressed!!

  41. My nail color was a coral color and I received a glossy conditioner instead of hair mist. Lipstick was also Gladiolus. Looking forward to trying the eye cream but according to Beautypedia there isn’t a lot you can do about dark circles other than hide them.

    • I don’t know if the Olay eye cream will work for dark circles yet, but so far it’s a great moisturizer. Have you tried apricot oil for dark circles? I use it, and I do see an improvement! (Although there’s nothing like a great concealer lol).

  42. This is getting interesting. Target offers these boxes as winter, spring, etc. I purchased one on 4/15 as a spring box, and this one that I purchased was on 6/3 as a summer box. So may be Target has more than four seasons, at the rate they are offering these boxes. The most recent box is identical to what Liz received, but a couple of products are totally WRONG COLORS for me. I got 875: Gladiolus – too red! and 108: Thimbleberry (Sinfulcolors nail) – again, too red! But with $7, I guess I should not complain… but I’ve gotten better boxes from them, by paying $5. Part of me think that Target is testing us … how much are we willing to pay for these boxes. Don’t take me wrong – Target boxes are okay – but lacking wow factor.

    • Honestly don’t think you should complain…you are getting an amazing box for your $

      • A box is only as ever as its recipient thinks it is. But with this one you know what you’re getting before you buy, right?

  43. I ordered this one and the father’s day one for my husband. I’m super excited to get mine! I love the target beauty boxes, this is my second so far. I try to get to them before they sell out!

  44. This is a nice box. I hope they do a natural box again. My son likes his man box.

  45. i was actually able to get my first target box thanks to liz posting it on here … i got the same except my nail polish was a pink orange color called thimbleberry … i can’t wear the lipstick because red just doesn’t look good on me at all… but i am totally happy i got this box and can’t wait for the next one..

    • Unfortunately this box sold out (It is a one time purchase box, not a subscription). I’ll post when the next one launches though!

  46. My daughter and I each ordered a box. Both of ours had the same products you did. The only difference is our nail polish is a bright coral color.

  47. I wish I had been able to get in on a couple of these.
