Swap Site Updates!

Liz: What would be nice, is if there is a charity, or non profit group that is looking for certain items, makeup, nail polish, clothing, that type of thing that msa swappers could send all their donations to that one place. Items I’m not using and am sick of seeing, I normally ad as extras in a box. Yet ideally I would like to send them to a group that will use them.

Hi Liz, this is really a great feature. I have some time today, and I thought I go through all 33 pages of listing, and notice a few things.
At first, I thought I saw some duplicates, that is some of the people is showing up a few times. I thought that was odd, and go check again.
So, what I see is, if a person follow 2 or more items, some even follow 3 or 4, that same person is showing up multiple times my list. Not sure if this happen to others. Is this something that can be improve in the future?

I would love to be able to Block certain users. I interact with so many traders that it can be hard to remember everyone. There are some people that just based on their comments, I know our personalities won’t be a good fit….or they keep requesting and never have anything I want. I would save me a lot of time if their items didn’t appear in my feed and my items didn’t appear in theirs. Sounds complicated, huh? 🙂 Just putting it out there!

Could you do something with the search feature? Keywords etc. it only works for me about 30% of the time. Definitely my biggest complaint. Like the newest update!

I found out that I have several items that no one is following. Wondering if I should just use them as “extras” for someone. But one of them is valued at $13! There are over 100 of this item available, and no one is following it. I went to eBay, and people are selling it for like $3.00. 🙁
But I’m loving being able to see how popular items are, and I’ve had a huge increase in swap requests starting yesterday. Keeps things interesting!

That’ great, thanks. Seems like it would also be very useful to find out who are the users following a particular items I listed, if we particularly wanted to swap something out. Otherwise, the list of swappers could be very long to sort through.

O good the user following listing shows up on mobile unlike the “swapmatchmaker” that’s awesome!!!

This is something I have thought a lot but never asked for. It would be great if my tracking link was active just like the one that is sent to me. I check to see if what I sent is delivered about as much as I check tracking on what is sent to me!

How hard would it be to add a feature that would allow us to cancel multiple swaps at one time instead of clicking into each one separately and cancelling? I know sometimes when I add a new ‘hot’ item I am inundated with Swap requests and it takes forever to go through and cancel each one…but if I don’t they just clog up my swap list and others i am interested in get lost so to speak in the shuffle.

Side note- did you decide to post the organization examples from subscribers post? I don’t remember seeing it.

I was wishing for this too. But-I would also like to see how many people follow any listing, not just my own. This information might help me understand the relative value of an item from a supply and demand perspective.

These are great updates! I was just thinking today how nice it would be to be able to see who follows my listings, not knowing others had already requested it. 🙂

I have a suggestion as to something that can be added; a response to ratings, or an ability to update a rating.

I have seriously been thinking about this since I joined! I often went to “popular” items (that had more than 30 listings) to scroll through to see if anyone followed things that I had listed. I never asked for it because i don’t like to pester and the swap site is already my addiction so I really have no complaints. However, this is a wonderful addition! Thanks so much, Liz!

This is awesome! I’ve been wishing for this! However……………………it isn’t working! I just did mine, and the products it shows that they want are items I don’t have at all! 🙁 Is it pulling data from the wrong place?
