My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Card

This box comes with a card detailing the items included. This month’s theme is Mystery Mashup.

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Tee

Xenoberry Burst T-Shirt - Value $20

(100% Cotton)

I used the t-shirt prices from TeeMaki’s etsy shop for the value, but I’d say that $20 value for a tee in a geek subscription box is a little high.

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Ash

Ash Army of Darkness POP Vinyl - Value $9

My husband was so excited to see this in the box. It's a POP he doesn't already own! And one he wanted!

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Handicorn

Handicorn - Value $7

Um...this is a finger puppet set that turns your hand into a unicorn. It's definitely one of the most unique items we've received in a subscription box!

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Beans

Harry Potter Bertie Bott's Beans - Value $3

Vintage 1986 Garbage Pail Kids Button - Value $1?

I never was into Garbage Pail Kids in my childhood, so this pin is lost on me, but I love getting anything Harry Potter related in a box!

Verdict: This box wasn't our favorite from My Geeky Goodies. The "Mystery Mashup" theme didn't really work for us in terms of getting items we love. The retail value of this box is about $40, so value wise it is a decent box, but just not a good personal fit.

What do you think of the April My Geeky Goodies box?

I like this box because it seems like one of the only ones that requires more than a superficial knowledge of pop culture. Which is, by definition, actual geekiness.

Hey Liz I’ve seen you mention for this review and others about your husband collecting the pops. Have you seen or tried pop in a box its a UK sub service and you can keep an online collection and they wont send what you already have.

Yes – he’s been eyeing that one 🙂 We’re hoping someone does the same thing in the US so the cost makes sense for us! 🙂

Sorry, apparently I can’t read garbage pail kids….they look so much alike.
It looks like a great box – esp that POP figure.
