I also thought I cancelled previously and I’m not sure what happened. They do that thing subscription companies do to try to trick you into not cancelling when you’re going through the process. The only way you can be sure you’ve cancelled is if you get an email.
However – I emailed them today and told them they needed to refund the charge or I would follow up. The immediately responded cancelling my account, refunding the money and offering a $10 off coupon if I want to come back. So I think they are getting more responsive!

Just wanted to comment on a positive customer service experience with FabFitFun. I had a billing question and, since it is Saturday, was concerned I would have to wait until Monday — which is the day billing is to occur. Fortunately I was able to contact a very helpful representative via live chat on their website and get my questions answered today.

I see a lot of people comparing this box to boxycharm. Honestly I think Boxycharm’s value is way too inflated because of the brands they use. They use a bunch of those “subscription box brands” that you can only find online, usually you can find them heavily discounted, and most of the time the listed original price is comparable to Chanel, Urban Decay, or any other Sephora/Nordstrom brand.
Brands carry heavy value.
So when they say that a random, internet brand product is $35 I’m like…. uhhhh not in my eyes it is. I’d rather have a drugstore or high-street brand. Boxycharm rarely hits even a $50 value for me.

I agree. I’ve looked through the reviews of Boxycharm boxes to help me decide if I wanted to subscribe and, for me, the value isn’t there. Even when the box is listed as having a value of >$100 I look at it and think that it isn’t worth the cost of the subscription. Whereas, I have never been disappointed in a FFF box. The brands in FFF are high quality and the boxes are a lot of fun. To me there is no comparison between FFF and Boxycharm.

I tried to hold out for a second spoiler, but couldn’t. I love tarte.

So I have a question if someone could help. Ppl who are subbed but auto pay each quarter, do we get to use the coupons they offer? Or we pay the full $50.
Reply
Emily
You pay the full $50. 🙁

That sucks! Thanks! Can we unsubscribe and sub back? Hehe? They are offering so many things right now and stupid me didn’t think when I had signed up to wait for some kind of promo, I didn’t get anything extra. They have the fruit infused bottle aagain I know for sure. They keep sending me emails about all the savings and discounts and extras for just signing up. Thats why I was wondering if we could use them too being Im already subbed
Amanda B.
Right about the value of FFF, but to remind you that $125 of that value came from a coupon for $125 off when you purchase or rent a bridesmaid dress or little white dress, you get a free rental, and the dress has to be over $125 and cannot be more than one dress.

If you look at the card insert the $125 coupon was a toss in. It wasn’t calculated to be part of the over all value of the box. I admit though, it was a sucky coupon. As for the Merrithew coupon and even the Rifle Paper Co. coupon, I used both of them and got some great stuff. I bought yoga bands from Merrithew and paid about $9 out of pocket and bought adorable note books from the Rifle Paper Co.

I got a pilates mat and only had to pay (okay, pricey) shipping with the Merrithew GC. The vow to be chic GC you just have to place the order by the expiration date. So if you know you have holiday parties to go to you can place an order for 2 dresses. I plan to maybe use them this way.

Also, the $214 value DOES NOT include the coupons or the temp tattoos so the value is there even if none of those items interest you.

I actually LOVE the $125 voucher and cant wait to use it for one of the many weddings I have coming up this summer. I also love the temp tats. I go to lots of festivals during the summer and they will be a fun thing to wear, something I never would have bought on my own but that is the fun of sub boxes for me. To me, the value is awesome! Everyone has different tastes and likes and dislikes.

True! Everyone e has different taste. I was just thinking on a different note, that I do t always get to choose what bridesmId dress to wear, the bride picks that. You know, I guess I could check it out for just summer time dresses. Have you checked it out? Do they have things like that? Or is it more formal/wedding a tire? And I don’t even remember what all was included it that value, that was so long ago. I just know that on the paper they sent us, the coupons were included in the value. The hello fresh, and the workout one too, which that one was pretty awesome, I was able to use it without having to spend a fortune to get something.

And a Merrithew $25 Gift Code which didn’t include their ridiculous shipping charges. And $36 metallic tattoos…

So sad because I don’t like lipgloss, but maybe saved me $40 and that’s a good thing. Usually these boxes don’t sell out so I’ll wait for the full box reveal. I’m being extremely picky and cautious this year.

This is not motivating me to purchase—which actually is a good thing! I signed up for Le Matchbox so that is going to be my ‘make up’ sub for now. I am anxious to see how they will vary it each time since they have just so many products in their arsenal.

I just signed up for an annual sub…does anyone know how the product choice works? I see from comment here that if you have an annual sub you get to choose a product but I didn’t have that option, maybe that comes later?

Doran
They usually and an email later for you to chose a color.

It is a good spoiler, but I got this in boxycharm and Glossybox, and they are $21 instead of $50.

Totally agree,I’ll stick with my Boxycharm. Can’t beat the 4 full sized products for $21.00.

Davi
Right…but in those subs that was the highest value only full size item that you got. With this sub that is not the case. Almost if not everything is full size and high value with awesome curation…so comparing apples to oranges

Wendy
Not true, with boxycharm at least 4 items are full size, and they are all in the $15 to $25 range if not more. This is the lowest value spoiler 1 out of the last 5 boxes, since the summer box last year.

I wonder what item annual subscribers will get to customize?? 🙂

They did a great job with this spoiler. So much so I’m thinking of resubbing. I’m glad it is a lip gloss instead of a lipstick, because lipsticks tend to melt in the summer. I’m going to wait for another spoiler before I sign up. So far this box looks great. One more great spoiler, and I’ll resub.

I love lip glosses! Do these have the same minty taste as the lip crayons? I love those but I’m allergic to mint – I still tried to use them, and learned the hard way. 🙁

Emily
I believe the glosses are vanilla flavored.

This!
Ah well, if I get a dark cool-toned shade I’ll be OK, but not nearly as enthusiastic as I would have been for one of the other formulations…

I love these, but I already own several. So with my luck I’ll get a shade I already own. I guess I’ll wait to see another spoiler to make a final decision.

I love Tarte, but I have a few of things thanks to Boxycharm and other sub boxes. FFF never really seems to be new and exciting.

I agree with you about the lack of new and/or exciting products in recent FFF boxes. I like all of my boxes but much preferred the ones from a year ago to the last 2. They included unexpected items that were high value as well. The last few have had too many coupons/gift cards and not enough higher value (non-overinflated retail prices that is) products to make the curation seem cohesive (or intentional). I hope there’s a better spoiler especially given they chose to share a product that is often included in other standard beauty boxes. I don’t subscribe to FFF for just another source of beauty products. If you’re going to do a spoiler, at least make it relevant to the box theme and not a lipgloss quite a few other, lower priced beauty subs have sent for 2 years now. Last time there was at least the scarf and serum (tnen the brushes which were uber boring IMO) which was different than previous offerings and other subs. So far here I’m seeing a single lipgloss that many of us die hard subbers already received rather recently elsewhere. I definitely need more than a lipgloss for a $50 box. A lot more.
