Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Info

Each box comes with a card which details each jewelry piece.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Earrings

Cameron Vibrant Drop Earrings

These are listed on the Cate and Chloe site as gold plated with CZ stones, but no specifics on the metals. I love gold jewelry, but these aren't exactly my style so they will likely be gifted.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Necklace

Spencer Visionary Turquoise Pendant Necklace

This is a silver plated necklace on a 30 inch chain. It's a really unique piece, and I like that it is made with a natural stone so no two necklaces will be exactly alike.

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Ring

Drew Wise One Ring

This is an adjustable ring included as a Mother's Day bonus gift. (They usually include a bonus item each month - but it's not usually jewelry).

Cate & Chloe Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2015 Ring

Verdict: I'm always pleased with the quality of the jewelry items Cate and Chloe sends, but style-wise this box wasn't a hit for me. (They recently launched a new customization part of their subscription, and I think that's a great way to make sure subscribers get a good value out of this subscription - hopefully I can review a box that is customized to my preferences next month).

What do you think of Cate & Chloe VIP?

This was my first box and my necklace was different from yours with that said it was the first thing I chose to wear and only had it on a few hours it had turned my neck and instantly rusted I’m so bummed cause I did think it was pretty now I’m afraid its garbage, I’m now wondering if I should try anything else ☹

Liz, do you know if any of these subscription jewelry boxes are good for people with allergies? I’ve already tried Cate & Chloe and unfortunately I got a reaction to their jewelry.

My box this month (my first) was perfect. They followed my customization request to a tee. In fact the necklace and bracelet I received were both on my want list. I also received the ring and an extra necklace for my birthday month. The value I got this month was amazing for what I actually paid for the box. If this continues, I see me subing to this box for a long timr.

Liz, I’m not sure the switch to customization is truly in full effect. I ordered my first box (May) because of the great discount. I did fill out the information about my likes/preferences. The only thing I struggled with was whether to choose all gold or gold/silver mix. I usually only wear gold, but, I’m trying to broaden my jewelry comfort zone. So, I chose the mix. I received the exact same pieces as you and had the same basic opinion. I’m going to try one more month and see if I get pieces that are better suited towards the information I gave them. It’s possible you may have to tweak your likes and dislikes periodically?? **** I will say I was impressed because they sent me a bracelet for my May birthday. Considering it’s a birthday I’m dreading (hitting the 4’s), this was a nice surprise and I really like the bracelet!!! Overall, I think it’s a good box.

The only thing I got like your shipment was the the ring. Which I love. Did anyone else order the special a while back for $19.99? Has yours come yet?

I like to idea of gold/silver plating but these pieces feel dated to me.

I really like the concept and shape of the necklace, but think it would be better with a different type/color of stone.

I’m loving their items! I got a different necklace because I mentioned they had sent out in the past that I absolutely loved and they sent it (can you say AWESOME!!!). I wore the earrings the first day I got them and the ring. Saving my necklace cause I have two outfits it will match perfectly! I lucked up and signed up during the half price on the first box sale.. even better.
