Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Polish

BOX Naturals Feminine Wipes (2) – Value $1.50

I received these wipes before in a Bare Bliss Box, and I like that they are free of parabens, dyes, sulfates, fragrances, etc.

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish in #ImSoLA - Value $18

I've received Lauren B. nail polish before in a subscription box, and I like the formula and the bottle design, so I'm happy to add this one to my collection.

Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – April 2015 SPF

The Konjac Puff Sponge - Value $12

I've tried konjac sponges before thanks to subscription boxes and they are great! If you haven't tried them yet, they are great for gentle exfoliation.

Suntegrity 5-in-1 Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen in Light - .25 oz Value $6.60

This Suntegrity product is sunscreen/BB cream hybrid. It's tinted but goes on sheer, and leaves a slight sheen/glow to my skin. I really like it so I know I will use every drop of this sample!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $38. I think the value is good, and I'll use every product in the box so I'm happy. (The only drawback for me on this box is that I didn't get to discover any new brands/products, but that's a likely event in the life of a subscription box addict!)

What do you think of the April 2015 Petit Vour box?

Is anyone else having a problem leaving a review? I can’t select the stars to rate. I can’t get any help from customer service either.

I was happy with this month’s Petit Vour. Now that I’ve had time to try out the products I can say the Konjac Sponge and and BB cream/sunscreen are not for me – my skin did not care for either – but one of the reasons I love this box is that I get to try products from cruelty-free, vegan brands I wouldn’t otherwise know about or purchase. I like the nail polish. The color is summery & fun, and pretty on my toes 🙂

My son and daughter-in-law actually paid for my subscription for Mother’s Day. One of my favourite colours is pink so the nail polish is perfect for me. I love the sponge. I even went on line to see where I can buy it after reading it lasts 3 months. I have not tried the wipes or sunscreen as yet. I look forward to receiving the boxes and the discovery it offers me.

To be honest this box was ehhh for me. I really like the konjac sponge, kind of cool and it feels squishy. The tinted BB cream was nice. Cute wipes but I am neutral about it.

Lastly I really dislike the nail polish I got. I really hate the color, hot pink (same color pictured here)? I wish they picked a better color. In my opinion that shade of pink looks super cheap. I cannot see myself wearing it, going straight to the trash. =/

I wish they chose a more spring shade color or a more neutral shade. I don’t know why beauty boxes always have the same ugly colors.

Would you be willing to send the nail polish to me? I’ll pay for shipping

I subscribed to Petit Vour for a few months when it first launched and I really want to support them because I love that they feature only cruelty-free brands but I just feel consistently underwhelmed by the boxes.

I was about to say the same thing, Danielle! After several months, I cancelled when I received this month’s box because it just isn’t working for me. I consistently want only 1 of the items each month on average, so the value doesn’t feel like it’s there for me personally. I don’t think it’s awful or anything and I’m glad I tried it. It probably doesn’t help that I get Kloverbox about the same time and I always love that one, even though it costs more.

Don’t know if this helps, but the other “wow” factor for me on PV is their rewards program. It’s 20% back on the website for purchases that aren’t the monthly sub box (if you buy 50$ you’ll get 10$ worth of points for example). I’ve liked/re-bought enough items from PV boxes I’ve been able to score some “free” products cashing out my points.

I totally agree with Lauren’s comment. I love the PV point system and I find that points accumulate very quickly. I enjoy PV so much, I am consistently pleased with their boxes and their customer service has always been wonderful.

I’m glad Petit Vour included a konjac sponge. Those have been my favorite since I first discovered them in a Julep mystery box over a year ago. I got the same one you got. I know there are different colors for different skin types yet I have not noticed much difference no matter what sponge I get.

The wipes are always handy and I like suntegity …. The only thing I dont like about this box is the nail polish color, it is to bright for me. I wish boxes would start having mini nail polishes. It takes me about 1 year to use a full size nail polish.

Petit Vour is a wonderful box, … however I’m starting to like goodebox a bit more, it is a bit more customized and its nice not to get nail polish when I request no nail polish

At first I was a bit “meh” on this box, but the nail polish (I got the same color) goes on sooo pretty I’m loving it now. PV is still my favorite sub (and most reputable to my sensibilities) so I’ll always try out what they send.

My konjac sponge was white so there must have been some variation on those in the boxes.

I’m glad you at least tried the polish before hating on it. At first, I thought the same thing as other reviewers, but I’ve loved it on my toes ever since I got it. 🙂 And yes, people received different sponges based on your beauty profile. I got one that was a dark reddish color?
