I ordered me one. I like laura Gellar products, rollerball size perfumes and will give the Vichy a chance. Everything else is just extra!

Its so tempting to buy one ! I really want one but realistically only the perfume and the Vichy dark spot corrector are the only products that I totally love, so I may just try and trade for one if them instead of buying the whole box. Perhaps it will go on sale, like the Christmas box had.

I just picked up the $20 L’Occitane box at the store today (ordered online but didn’t want to pay shipping) and I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for it personally. A couple of the samples are really small… 1 is a foil packet, and the champagne gummy bears take up the most space! The little round box it comes in is pretty cute though! And I do like their hand creams.

If anyone is interested in subscribing, I was logged in on their page and clicking around and almost checked out on the LE (didn’t enter payment info.). A couple of hours later they sent me an e-mail with a unique, one-time use code for 15% off a subscription.

Code wasn’t good for the LE, only a regular subscription. And it was one-time use only.

Oh hell no. More OROGOLD? Seriously, those guys are just awful. Their business practices are truly deplorable. I’m honestly disturbed that Glossybox is doing business with them.

I had to look up the bad business practices that you’re referring to and it does sound like hardcore Sales – almost like those awful timeshare people!
I’m also doubting the Oro Gold “retail” values and hope no one is paying those – I also heard that some of their stuff is on Amazon for much cheaper, but I haven’t confirmed for myself.
I’ll admit that I am still tempted to buy this box though… we’ll see.

Skipping out this year since last year was a total disaster for me. Last year they included an item that could not ship via UPS air but they shipped it late and tried shipping it out via 2-day UPS. UPS rejected the shipments and sent them back to Glossybox. GlossyBox then had to reship everything, via ground, which meant the boxes arrived WAY after Mother’s Day. Glossybox CS isn’t even care and they were quite rude about it when you were finally able to get in touch with them.

I’m on a roll with saving money today. While a few things from this appeal to me, I have learned from past Glossyboxes that Vichy products and my skin are not a good combination. Don’t need pink lip gloss (though I will say the Fusion products are some of the best at actually plumping, which I know because I already have one). Not keen on Orogold business practices (just Google them). Don’t need brown eyeliner.
Would be interested in the perfume and eyeshadow but they’re not “must have” for me. So I will pass.
But I will totally get the Birchbox LE that comes out later this week because it’ll be free with points and a code. I don’t *need* any of those items either, but I feel more like I can justify it because of the $0 out-of-pocket cost.

Now I might order. I looked and the eyeshadow is $20 (plus you have to buy $50 worth to get free shipping from the Bodyography site). And the rollerball is $22 from Vince Camuto. So right there is the value of the box…
