Julep Maven Selection Time for May!

I was gonna skip this month but then they FINALLY made a nail polish named after me and it’s PINK! So I had to get it lol Plus they also named a polish after my sister (Becca) so I had to get that too cuz it was just too perfect 🙂

I don’t sub julep maven but if anyone gets the shadow duo and doesn’t want I would love to swap. It would be my first swap. I will be on the lookout. Just FYI.

Sorry Melanie but I think you spent $14.99 on 2 nail polishes. I got all the beauty items but with 2 nail polishes (plus a third free one with coupon code). The 2 nail polishes it came with were the blue green shimmer and a dark teal color.

I told myself I would skip this month, since I’m going to Europe and I don’t want to come home to “too many boxes.” So all my Pick or Skip subs are supposed to be skipped. I liked 3 of the colors this month (dahlia pink, magnolia and the shimmery blue green one), but I have a ton of eye shadow and didn’t want any other items.

On another note, I never would do a nail polish add on to a maven box for $6.99. For me it’s a better deal to buy the mystery box and get a free polish with the coupon code. If u were going to buy the polish anyways then it’s like getting the mystery box for only $18 instead of $25. Just my thoughts

If I sign up now, will I get both the Welcome Box and the May Box?

I skipped this month. First time I’ve skipped a box. I just feel like I have all these colors already. Last month was great, I got the pollish lovers upgrade.

Julep is probably my favorite sub, but I am so underwhelmed with this collection. The only things in which I’m interested are the new It’s Balm (previously Plush Pout) colors, but do I really need those? No, not at two for $25. I also want Moni, which is only available as an add on, but then I’d be up to $32 for a couple lippies and a nail polish. Again, no. I think I will skip my box this month. Blasphemy! lol

I skipped this month. I have one more month prepaid, and none of the colors jumped out at me this month. And I haven’t been happy with any of the Julep beauty products I’ve received, so that’s out.

These colors look great. I am tempted to sign up but I’m afraid it will be quite difficult to cancel.

I think I’m skipping this month. I should have gotten the Cora mystery box, now that I’ve seen it (well through Instagram) I’m so bummed that I didn’t. I loved the look of the Valentine’s one, so I jumped at St. Patty’s and did not love the colors. So then I wouldn’t let myself get Cora. I have no luck 😉

Anyway, I don’t love these colors, and thanks to the St Patty’s mystery box and my first regular box I have tons of new colors still to try, so I think I’ll wait until next month and then go for the three-month pre-paid to bring down the cost a smidge (I think I can do it that way).

What is the pink, in the top left, named? It’s beautiful, but I’m not a mavin and cannot see it on the site. Thanks!

So I said to myself, ALL MONTH: Brooke, do NOT take your May box. It’s your last prepaid, just skip it and subsequent, and start getting polishes at the secret store only. It’s cheaper! You get the same polishes! And you’ll buy fewer things! And PS if you are stupid enough to take the May box, do NOT get any add-ons.

What did I do? May box (Denise, Vanna, swapped out lippie for eyeshadow duo) + 3 add ons (Jessica, basecoat, remover pads). I am so weak when it comes to pretty colors!!! Sigh.

I miss the excitement of Julep selection time. But I look at those colors and think I have something similar to most, if not all, of them. I’ll content myself with the mystery box I got last week (was a good one!) and wait for Black Friday sales.
