GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Eyeshadow

Suntegrity 5 in 1 Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen Tinted in Light SPF 30 - Value $6.60

I like the Suntegrity brand a lot of SPF that is free of ingredients I like to avoid, so I'm always happy to have more. This is a tinted spf, and the color helps even out skin tone, but I wouldn't consider it a foundation alternative (not much coverage). I really like the dewy finish too.

Modern Minerals Eye Shadow in Libra - 1 gram Value $6.25

I really like the Modern Minerals makeup line, but I am getting a little sick of seeing them in so many subscription boxes. That being said, I'm happy with the size of this sample (half the size of the full size version), the color (a super shimmery brown bronze) and the name (I'm a libra!).

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Lip Balm

Preserve Razor and 2 Blades - Value $8.50

This razor handle is made with recycled yogurt cups, and is BPA free. I personally use Intuition razor blades most of the time, but this will be a good back up.

Portland Bee Balm - Value $3

This lip balm is made with all natural and organic ingredients. It's very moisturizing and has a nice minty tingle. (It reminds me a lot of Burt's Bees Lip Balm).

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Scrub

Gressa Renewing Polish - .25 oz? Value $5.60

I appreciate that GoodeBox packaged this in its own plastic bag to avoid leaks getting onto other products, but it still is never fun to get a leaky product in a box. This facial scrub does smell really good too - so I'll just make sure to try it in the shower where I don't care about leaky containers!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $30. That's pretty good for the $18 cost. This isn't my favorite box from Goodebox, but I'll use everything in it so I'm not sure why that is - maybe it just didn't have a wow item for me.

What do you think of the April Goodebox?

I’m very happy with my May box!!! I even more happy that none of the face products contain aloe 🙂 Thank You GoodeBox!

I received an email that the Spring bonus box is available for $25.00.

I ordered one for myself.

I did too! Can’t wait to see what’s included!

I received the lip balm, razor, seaweed shampoo and conditioner, and Kahina serum. I can’t wait to try the shampoo (I found it locally!), and I already love the minty lip balm. Like Liz, I like my Intuition razor with built-in lotion bar, but these razors will be great for travel. I know you only need a drop or two of the Kahina, and can’t wait to try it tonight.

While it’s hard to beat last month’s box with the Acure conditioner (my absolute fave!), I’m still very pleased with this box.

I received the Portland Lip Balm, the polish, and the razor too. My other items are the CV Rescue Spray and Kahina Beauty Serum. I think it’s a good mix, and I can use everything.

The Rescue Spray can be used on rosacea although the first ingredient is aloe which irritates my face. I’m still going to give it a try to see what happens because the other ingredients look great for my face. The Rescue Spray has other uses too. I’m looking forward to using the serum calms inflammation and irritation. It looks like a small sample until you read the directions which says to use a couple drops. I am going to put it into a small container which will make it easier to use without wasting it.

I like receiving lifestyle items. Balms are useful. The polish sounds interesting and has only a few ingredients.

Is this box from Eco Emi?

Pretty sure they’re totally different companies. At least I’ve never heard of them being affiliated. They each have their own branded monthly sub service anyway.

Both companies were started by different owners and are in different areas.

Preserve razor blade refills have saved me so much dough. I used to use Mach3 (yeah, the guy ones).

I’ve used Mach3 for years ever since having to use my husbands razor one time and it worked so much better than my disposable women’s razor! But it may be time to try something new and cheaper…

I recieved two other tiny samples. This was my first month and I ordered in March expecting that box. My other two samples were of a cheaper value also. I think the total was $20. I complained and they have me a refund actually but then unsubscribed me themselves. Oh well. I’m feel worse for the Allure box subscribers. They had it far worse!

I did not get the Suntegrity or the razors– instead I was sent a Seaweed Bath Company 2? oz Shampoo and a free sample sachet which counts as one of my 5 items– not happy about that…

I like tinted face SPF simply because it doesn’t leave a white layer on my face. I have pale skin and dark hair and some mineral sunscreens make me look like a Goth. I even buy CoTZ tinted for darker skin just to avoid the white color. I’ve had good luck with Suntegrity so I might try their product sometime, too, just to compare.

I got the razor, balm, and leaking renewing polish too. But I got Derma E brightening cream and CV Skinlabs Rescue and Relief spray instead of the sunscreen and mineral makeup. I’m glad that they seem to actually pay attention to the profiles you fill out when you sign up and curate everyone’s box a little differently according to preferences. I tried to make it clear on my profile questionnaire that I didn’t wear makeup and they didn’t include any. This is only my first box but I hope they continue to honor that request.

I got the same box as you. I m happy with it. I also requested no make up and they have always honored my request and looked at my survey. 🙂

Thanks, I’m glad to hear they are consistent about no make up requests.
