Wow!! I was going to skip May altogether because I was underwhelmed by most of the sample choices. The only 2 I was kinda interested in were the Well People mascara and the Macadamia Oil! I can’t believe they are in a box together now!! Plus that candle looks great!
I just gifted this to myself 😀
-I used my main account and bought a 3 month subscription for my 2nd account. I clicked “send the first box to me” for the heck of it, even though all boxes will come to me lol.
-I also was able to use 300 points to cover the cost!!
-****And on the top of the Birchbox page, it says to use code “100FORME” on a $30 order to get 100 points back… and it let me add it to the subscription order!!

This may be a silly/stupid question, but can you gift a subscription to yourself under a different account {and get the referral credits}?

You don’t get referral credits for buying a gift, believe me I’ve tried. The best time to gift is when they give 100 points for gifting.
Although this box is a huge improvement on their normally dire ‘Welcome box’.

Last year around the holidays, there was a 200 point Ace bonus for buying a gift. I used that even though I didn’t need a 3rd sub, simply because of the 200 points.

Ragan, I know what you mean! I keep signing up for subscription boxes because I see such great deals or there was a really cool month. I’m not swimming in mascaras yet myself, but I’m sure I will be soon.

Can I gift a person who already has a current subscription? What happens if I do?

This is kind of tempting. Although…I have like 3 of those Vasanti samples already, about 35 mascaras, and at least 1 or 2 of those eye creams. Maybe I’d better pass. (I do like the Vasanti. But I really don’t need a 4th.)
I like that Birchbox is doing this, though. I am not so thrilled with the standard first boxes for gift subs that they offer so it is nice to see them changing it up a bit. Gives me hope that there will be another fun one in the future. (I’d just gift myself three months; I have one account that’s not currently active…)
