Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturizer - Value $45

This is a lightweight moisturizer, and I love how my skin feels after applying it. (It's also paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free!) My only issue with it is the powdery fragrance - I prefer my skincare products to be fragrance-free. I like everything else about this moisturizer though (including the bottle design) so I'll use the whole product. The fragrance may keep me from buying more in the future though.

Verdict: I think Beauty DNA has been doing a pretty good job matching me with good products for my skin lately. I just wish they had a no-fragrances option!

What do you think of Beauty DNA?

I loved this sub but had to cancel in February due to buying a new car….. however, I’m still being charged. I’ve sent email after email canceling and asking for my payment information to be removed from their site and each time they say my sub has been cancelled and my payment info removed… but here I am again, charged for a sub I cancelled months ago. Good luck to anyone else who tries to cancel this one. It’s a mess.

First time I got a really good item that was nice and pricey too – I got the “babor hsr de luxe ultimate anti aging cream”. It looks like a small bottle but Babor lists the price at 160 but BeautyDNA said 181.50 [If I remember correctly]

I am so torn, I hope it’s awesome [but then sad because I can’t afford to get it again 🙁 ]

Beauty DNA is one of my favorite subs. I’ve had it for four months, and I’ve received a serum, peel, toner and exfoliator, all curated to perfectly match my profile. I haven’t been thrilled with every month’s value, but over my four months, even using internet pricing (not Beauty DNA’s RVs), I’ve received over $225 worth of products for $100. I’m pleased with their customer service, too. I received an empty bottle of toner, and a very wet box, and they replaced it immediately. I’m sorry that others haven’t had the same great experience with them. Hopefully, they can become more consistent.

I really wish I could order this!! They only accept US credit cards as well (for us Canadian subscribers who have a US mailing address).

Liz, I just signed up for this and there was an option for fragrance free.

If you choose “fragrance free,” it limits them a lot. You will receive few to no “body” products, for example. (I found this out when I was subscribed by playing with the settings.) Granted, that can be a way to avoid body products if you don’t want them, but it also may result in delayed or missing shipments, based on what I’ve read in other forums.

Although I do like this, I have already had 2 bad experiences out of 3 boxes.

The first box contained June Jacobs moisturizer and was fab.

The second, I got a product called Smartskin 18 that smelled like moldy dirt. But BeautyDNA said that their tester smelled like moldy dirt also, so this was ok by them. So, I am stuck with a product that I can’t use since I am severely allergic to molds, and this makes me nervous. Plus there is the gross factor… Blech…

In my third box I got a product worth less than I paid and no bonus item. After I mentioned this, they said the item was priced wrong in their system and sent me a bonus item.

The first item was a Sara Mcnamera face cleanser chosen for my, “oily skin”. The problem? I am 51 and put dry skin under my profile. This stuff was like using chlorox on my skin it was so drying. Beautypedia said to not even use this on oily skin it is so drying.

The replacement product was Alessandro Hand and Spa age Complex Cream Royal which I love.

Typo…. The Allesandro was a bonus item and not a replacement item.

My favorite subscription ans its actually saved me money. My only complaint, wish they would add another extra surprise sometimes or samples geared around your match.

This is one of my favorite subs for 2 reasons: 1) the value is always great and 2) it’s guaranteed to be spoiler free!
